Chapter 3: Prologue

Nobuyuki’s POV:

"You must love in such a way that the person you love feels free"… is something someone I’ve never met before has said, someone whose name has long escaped my memory.

But who really is that person? Who was insightful enough to come up with such a relatable saying?

Don’t ask me! I have no clue!

I mean, how should I know? And why should I know? I just liked what it said and for that alone, I'll keep it on board! At least, until I find a better one or lose consciousness of it.

That might happen any minute now because it does more often than not. Someone could be singing the praises of anything around me and in just a fraction of a second, poof! I let it slip! My thoughts grow unclear and I fail to recollect the entirety of what I’m hearing.

I shit you not, it makes me super anxious and uncomfortable. So, I come across as gawky and all. But hey, That just means I always have enough room to consider new ideas, right?

Yeah! It’s not worth worrying about. Forgetting a thing or two is no biggie. I mean, everyone forgets, so it’s normal, right? Besides—like dad used to say—I shouldn’t dwell on it, but grin and bear it! After all, inspiring other people will only lie in my power when I’m in a positive state! And, I know it sounds clichéd, but I have people I love. I have people whom I want to do a good turn for. That makes life worth living and puts more meaning to it!

As a matter of fact, I love life! I know hearing someone say that nowadays is open to doubt, but it’s true! I like living! I hate suffering though. I hate it to the point where I’ll literally do anything to keep my mind off it. And I couldn’t care less about it being a part of my growth.

Honestly, If I ever were to face exigent grief, I would lose myself… I think? Well, I don’t want to, not when I haven’t even found it yet.
