"Haah haah... I think we lost them" I said trying to catch my breath

It didn't really occur to me but my current state is weak as fuck. 

To be honest I think I would die from an ogre with just a single hit. I need to get stronger as soon as possible...

"Why... why did you save me? You should've just left me there... " The slave said timidly

The emblem that I saw from the clothes of the merchant is all familiar to me. 

It's because he's a member of Merca Familia, they look like a normal mercantile guild at the surface but i think in this time around they've already got atleast 75% of Illustria kingdom underworld in the palm of their hands. In the future they will still spread. 

Anyway if I didn't save her she'll be accused of conspiring witn Liberia and she'll be executed immediately. 

So in conclusion "It's because your prior savior was stupid"

Seriously what the heck was that? The Liberia operative just sweeps into the scene, stabbed the merchant and shouted their what do you call it? It's motto I think and after that she just ran away, she didn't even try to save the slaves. 

"Stop... we're gonna die anyway because they're gonna track our location with this collar" 

The slave girl fell in her knees in tears

"What's your name" I asked the slave girl

To which she replied "Back in Viane I'm called Stella" 

After listening, I grabbed the key from my pocket and tossed it into her "I see, take this and live a new life as a free man"

I asked as I look at Stella who has been following me for at least 10 minutes now

"I... I don't have nowhere else to go" Stella replied looking downwards

Now what to do... I am indeed planning to make an organization with the sole purpose of defeating the demonic cult but that would still be in the far future when I get stronger, after all no one wants to follow a weak leader, both in physical and wisdom strength. 

Furthermore right now my focus is getting strong and getting a base of operations, like a hidden hideout no actually I think it's better if I make and organizations who will cover for us in the surface maybe? Like I'll get a mobile fortress and make a pharmaceutical company named Rh*des Isl*nd. (Author: Lmao, indeed this novel is heavily influenced by my favorite game arknights and bunch of others like elona etc.)

Oh! I'll just bring her with me on the way, teach her some stuff and hopefully she'll get stronger later on!!
