Reaching the end of the hallway, they were immediately discovered by a guard.
"What is the princess doing out of confinement?" He asked.
Elijah examined the guard- he was dressed in full armor, even the face covered, of ornate design and craftsmanship, the crest he adorned read 'royal', and his eyes held a suspicious light.
"Then how did you get here?"
"You question the ways of the wizard? His ways are beyond your understanding."
"Oh, oh yes of course, that is reasonable, pardon me," the guard stepped aside.
Elijah walked forward, and Lapiese looked at him with suspicion as she followed.
"Do you always lie like that?" She asked.
"No," Elijah denied. Then after considering a bit amended his answer- "Maybe sometimes", he conceded.
They continued pondering for awhile as Elijah pondered on something extremely important. He then turned to Lapiese with a snort, trying to hold back laughter and pointed at her "you were put in the corner for a time out," he said.
She looked at him in disbelief. Then she rolled her eyes and said "what a child," which caused Elijah to start giggling.
She stopped paying attention, and eventually they reached an elevator leading down.
By the time they exited the elevator, Elijah was holding his stomach and trying not to vomit.
"You really need to improve your elevators before someone huAHrhhchhuchh" Elijah barely held back from releasing, managing to swallow back his food- it left a disgusting taste in his mouth. He was not pleased, and very glad the trip down was over with. He was very dismayed at the thought of making a second trip up.
Lapiese looked at him in confusion. "You can climb a few kilometers up a literal tower but can't handle an elevator?"
"Of evil! It's an elevator of evil it is!"
Gaining his bearings, he took out a candy that he had no idea he had, and put it in his mouth. It tasted like honey and cinnamon, and as he chewed, an extremely potent liquor poured out.
It purged the full taste in his mouth, and it was then that Elijah discovered he was an extreme lightweight.
His ever-present smile turned goofy, and his eyes had a difficult time keeping themselves open.
"Wow, this doesn't look like a princess's house, we must've taken a wrong turn. Seeing as turning got us nowhere, let's move forward."
"What?" Lapiese was confounded by his logic. After all, she knew the way, and they could see the bars of cells housing various prisoners along both sides of the corridor infront of them.
Lapiese, seeing his goofy smile and not knowing if his inebriation, assumed that this was his usual manner of acting- which, to tell the truth, was not that off.
"You're a strange man," Lapiese said.
Elijah looked her over in a drunken stupor, seeing the sky blue hair cascading down her broad shoulders, her blood red eyes that signified one to be of house Runeruby, her dress that reached her ankles in a semi-form fitting semiformal red color and said "you look like a female vampire that someone squished downwards. Names Elijah," and he walked past her, slightly swaying and giggling as he moved forward.

The princess furrowed her brows, unsure what all that meant. "Lapiese Conise of house Runeruby," she introduced herself.
Elijah was walking forward, not really thinking of what he was doing.
"I found him!" Lapiese called out.
She stopped before a cell that was three cellblocks from where Elijah had gotten to.
Elijah turned and walked over, seeing a man hung on the wall by chains attached to his arms. He was not a dwarf, but a half-elf. He looked at Elijah and said "you look like a strange creature."
"And you look like s***, hu'up" Elijah hiccuped, looking at the bruises branding the half-elf's body, making an ugly shade of purple that, indeed, was reminiscent of feces.
"So, any chance that you're here to free me?"
"I'mm" Elijah agreed, "watch thiz" he took out his lockpick and tried inserting it into the keyhole, and missed, his hand going through the bars. He tried again and missed in the same fashion, on the other side. The third time, he managed to insert the lockpick, and as it entered it was at the perfect angle. A click resounded, and the bars swung open. "Easyyyy."
He walked over to the man and grabbed the cuffs around his wrists that he could reach due to his hight, intending to unlock them.
The half-elf looked at Elijah and asked "are you drunk?"
"No," he replied, "Elijah the drunk- I mean, Elijah the rogue."
The half-elf scrutinized Elijah's face and stated, "you're not a Method as of yet, but you're verging on it. infact it seems as though you've held yourself back. An incredible feat for one young as yourself."
Elijah paused in his work and looked at the half-elf, his face impassive and all traces of his fooling gone. He told the 'Method' "then it seems you'll have to be the one to light the streets when night if at full and the moon is null." Then Elijah raised his eyebrows, his smile returning to its normal state as he continued "but at another time. First," and with a click the cuffs came loose, "lets get out of here and kill a wizard."
"Mage actually." The half-elf outstretched his right hand and introduced himself "Ferwen, well met brother."
Elijah clasped him at the joint between arm and forearm with his own right arm..
"A strange greeting," he noted aloud.
"Sorry, the candy's wearing of still."
"Don't be- it's novel, unique, I like it. I should teach this to more brothers."
"Are you done yet," Lapiese had run out of patience.
"Lets go," they both said, then looked at escort and grinned.
"Oh no, now there's two children" Lapiese mumbled as she turned around without waiting for them.
They followed soon after.
