Emmy shifted, her friend lying on her chest making the already sensitive bumps even more unbearable.

She had barely solved the issue of their sensitivity, now she had someone squashing them in such a manner.

"It's fine," Emmy waved her hand as she dismissed her friend's thanks, what she was really worried about was how close her friend was to her.

It was a tad bit uncomfortable.

But since it was her dear friend Fischl who lay on her chest she would let it slide. She wasn't enjoying how nice her friend felt in her arms, she wasn't that type of person!

Honest.

[Doubt.]

'Hmph! She would never know, hehe...'

Emmy secretly wrapped her arms around her friend, enjoying the moment while it lasted. She might as well make the most out of her apparent discomfort... Right?

The two girls lay on the floor for a little while before Fischl started to get off her friend, now noticing that her friend might be feeling a tad bit uncomfortable.

Emmy, if she heard her concern would simply smile.

Then tell her to continue.

Alas, it was not meant to be at this moment.

'A pity,' Emmy thought as Fischl got off her, 'That is enough excitement for today, hopefully.'

Emmy lifted her back off the ground as she looked at Fischl, who now sat on her thighs with a cute smile on her face. Her hands were placed on Emmy's legs as she looked down into her eyes.

Emmy cocked her eyebrow as her friend continued to look into her eyes, and suddenly Emmy had the urge to turn and tease her friend.

Emmy blew at the hair that covered her right eye, "Why are you staring so intently? Am I cute?" Emmy looked at her friend as she leaned closer, "Do I captivate you?"

Fischl paused for a moment before she absent-mindedly nodded her head. In response to her action, Emmy froze and she felt the heat rise to her cheeks. She stammered as she looked away from her friend.

"I—," Emmy scratched her head as she looked down, she pursed her lips at the compliment, "Stop saying such thoughtless words."

For once in her life Emmy, when presented with an attempt to properly articulate her words, it ended in failure.

So she could only present such a weak rebuttal, which would not work on someone like her friend.

Someone who matched her intelligence but was unfortunately plagued by the same disease known as "EQ deficiency".

A cruel "disease" that robbed one of their normal human ability to sense and work around the social atmosphere.

In short, both of these girls sucked at sensing social cues, and we're totally reliant on luck to take hold of these signs.

That luck did not pull through for either of them this time.

Fischl snorted, "Does the Duke not think that she is cute? Is the Duke note the cutest in this land, bar I the Prinzessin of course," she was about to continue but then she saw how flushed her friend her was.

The girl's face was a wonderful peach, her glowing cheeks shone as if it were a sunsettia, ripe for the picking. Fischl momentarily thought of taking a bite of those supple cheeks but she had other plans.

Her friend was rarely bashful, as her usual expression was either chaotic, mischievous, or downright blank. So, that meant to say that Fischl was always ready to grasp the times when she was.

Just like the time at the lake, she sought to tease her friend. The fact that the girl was already beneath her already presented her with a prime playing field.

An impish smile spread on the little gremlin's face. She crawled toward her friend and gently pushed her to the ground.

"Huh?" Emmy now awake now notice how constrained she was as for some reason Fischl now had her hands on her shoulders, her face was also covered in shadows for some reason.

Then Emmy caught a glimpse of the smile on her friend's face and she immediately had a bad feeling. She was about to shake off her friend but didn't.

She was, by the system's earlier statement and her own judgment way stronger than Fischl. In terms of physical strength, the two were just not comparable, hence if she used too much force she could hurt her.

Emmy was willing to do anything but hurt Fischl, so she could only resign to her fate. Emmy lay on the ground like a dead fish and closed her eyes.

She felt a brush of air pass by her ears and neck along with a pleasant lavender aroma that invaded her senses, overloading the poor organs with what was practically her favorite scent.

Emmy could swear she wasn't enjoying this or that she was weird in any shape or form.

Honest.

Fischl continued to "play" around with her friend's body, searching for a weak spot she could exploit until finally, she found one.

"Pfft-," Emmy laughed as she opened her eyes and nearly bounced her head into Fischl's as she tried to get up.

Fischl currently had her fingers digging into the armpits of her friend, mercilessly, she tickled them as she savored the teary face of the one under her.

"Ahaha! St—op," Emmy laughed as she was assaulted by her friend's hands.

Although Emmy told her friend to stop, she made no moves to get out of this seemingly desperate situation.

"Hmph! I'll spare you for today, but know that all shall bow before the Prinzessin!" Fischl said as she puffed her flat chest and got up from her friend.

As for Emmy? The girl looked like a mess, she had sweat all over her body and she breathed as if she hadn't tasted oxygen for a lifetime.

She nearly choked from laughter several times during that exchange, Emmy took a look at her triumphant friend.

She would get her next time!

"Fischl... I'm guessing that you are curious about what and how you just learned so much?" The girl nodded and Emmy gulped, "If you want... I can answer–"

"No need."

"Huh?"

"There is no need to take such actions, I for one have no interest in forcing you to tell me about your matters," Fischl said a hint of a smile coming to her face, "But know this... You will always have the support of the Prinzessin."

Emmy got up from the ground and touched Fischl on the shoulder, it was frail and delicate even after weeks of training.

But at this moment it seemed to contain an unreasonable amount of strength to Emmy, and as she peered into the serene eyes of the girl.

The emerald seemed to contain an unshakable faith and a limitless amount of trust.

She felt her heart... flutter? An emotion she never felt before flourished as she received her friend's endless support.

Emmy didn't know what it was but she determined that the feeling was good and that she Emmy Edgar...

She wanted more of this feeling, so much so that she didn't want to share.

Emmy bumped shoulders with the girl, "The princess is so handsome!" Emmy giggled as she rubbed her friend's hair.

The girl shook her off and Emmy gave chase, the two of them played for a long time until Fischl left.

"Come again," Emmy said, she waved at her friend who left through the front door.

Her smile was kept until the girl left her sight and she closed the door. As the last light from the sun vanished from the gaps between the door and the frame, Emmy's eyes became cold and her expression hardened.

She barked out, "Show yourself!"

Nobody responded and Emmy... Emmy didn't move.

The silence was kept for a few moments before she grew tired of it and in true Emmy fashion she raised her hand, a ball of pure energy materialized on the surface of her palm, the ball crackled with silver sparks despite not being of the electro element.

Vwooom—

She threw it.

The ball flew at a speed beyond the capability allowed by a normal human's perception and dissipated, seemingly not damaging the wood in the slightest. Emmy squinted her eyes and the shadows moved, slowly, they formed the shape of a man who kneeled as soon as he saw her.

He wore grey robes that seemingly refused to go together with the color of the house and yet his presence was hardly sensed. It was as if he wasn't even there. His dog mask and red hair contrasted sharply with his attire.

The man who was on one knee in front of a girl probably not a third of his age spoke, "Young miss."

His voice was calm as if the girl he bowed his head to hadn't just tried to end his life.

Emmy sneered, "Go away!"
