Xy stood up and reached for the black sword with his hand. The attraction grew stronger as the distance closed up second by second as he reached closer.

He grabbed the sword and get staring at it.

“Vadea… Is this you?”

Yes, it is me… Have you forgotten about the vow I have declared to you?

“Did she just speak?”

“Yes. I am right in front of you.” 

Xy lifted his head upwards as Vadea moved her face closely in front of Xy’s.

“Wha- EEEH?!” Xy exclaimed as he stumbled backwards.

“Where… Is the sword? It was in my hands just a second ago?”

“I am the sword destined to be used by you.” Vadea replied.

“You’re my sword…?”

“After all, I am a Hysteria.”

Xy quickly stood up.

“That’s right… What is this Hysteria thing you are talking about?”

“We Hysteria are the weapons the God Hephaestus created to aid the Gods and Spirits of the Alis Dei for whatever need. By most, are we the extension of their potential. This human form what you see is one of many forms we are able to represent our selves in.”

“As for me, I was created to serve Ilnir...”

Hello, to my lovely readers, I’m very sorry for this extremely short chapter, but there are a few things that need to be said. So please read further!

There are a few major things that I haven’t explained yet, since the story is still in its development stages, and hasn’t reached any major arcs yet (Besides the Shaman arc), I will be explaining one part that I find important to share:

The Power System

A lot of things including the power system may have been very vague to you, so I am here to fully explain how the power system goes for the people of Gaius:

The system is divided into 4 major “Fighting Roles”, all of which consist of a total of 6 “Potentia” (Pretty much the level stages)

These include:

Initiator - The ones who often are the aggressors of one’s team.

Guard - The ones who protect the team and battle side-by-side with Sentinels.

Sentinel - The ones that are useful in both defense and offense, they mostly watch over their comrades and are the ones holding healing abilities.

Watcher - The ones who often fight their battles from afar, they often have a very high set of battle intellect, they are mostly the leaders of a team, giving their comrades commands on how to fight their foes.

Before we can dive in deeper with this, I will first need to put the base source of everyone’s powers on the light:

If you kept an eye open on the chapter where I showed the 9 Nations, you might have noticed that some nations hold a certain elemental / art they specialize in. These are what you call the “Base Elementals”, and these are an extremely crucial part of one's overall power set.

However, the 4 founding elementals will have to be mentioned first. These are:

Fire

Water

Earth

Air

In reference, these are the first elements the Silphanic people have learned from the Four Primordial Beings. All other elements stem from them, which are the following:

Healing magic - stems from water.

Thunder control - stems from fire.

Demon Style Art - (Alternate version of both fire and air) - stems from fire and air.

Scarlett Power - (Alternative version of both water and fire) - stems from water and fire.

Enigma control - (Alternative version of both earth and water) - stems from earth and water.

Now that that has been covered, we can now finally talk about the meat of the meal… The four fighting roles as well as the six potentia:

The fighting roles, Initiator, Guard, Sentinel, and Watcher all have their own specific set of “level stages” we in this story call “Potentia”. And there are a total of 6 potentia one can achieve:

Secundo - Above average elemental control.

Tertius - God Invocation.

Quartus - Advanced elemental control + God Manifestation.

Quintus - Extremely advanced reaction speed, feats, attack potency, destruction potency + Extremely advanced elemental control.

Guard

Primis: Base elemental control.

Secundo: Above-average elemental control + Above-average endurance.

Terius: Exceptional endurance + Mastery over battle dexterity.

Quartus: Extremely advanced endurance + Extremely advanced elemental control + God Invocation.

Quintus: God manifestation.

Sentinel

 

Primis: Base elemental control.

Secundo: Exceptional intellect, exceptional battle intellect + God invocation.

Terius: High battle intellect + God manifestation.

Quartus: Extremely advanced elemental control + Extremely advanced speed + Advanced battle intellect.

Quintus: Boundless mastery over base elemental.

Watcher

 

Primis: Base elemental control.

Secundo: Above average vision + Above average battle dexterity.

Terius: Advanced vision + Advanced battle intellect + Advanced battle dexterity.

Quartus: God Invocation + God Manifestation + Extremely advanced elemental control + Extremely advanced battle dexterity.

Quintus: Flawless vision, reaction speed, battle intellect.

Immensus (Boundless) 

 

Immensus is when one out of any fighting role is able to learn the potentia of one other fighting role. There is one sidenote, that it is only limited to 1 fighting role.

You might wonder if any nation specializes in any fighting role, well, they don’t. Any nation has the ability to become any type of fighting role. However, it is common that a nation such as the Shizu nation mostly refers to the Guard fighting role as it fits their fighting style the most.

Note:

Please do remember that this is the base power set for any fighting role. Meaning that there are various of different abilities one is able to achieve depending on what potentia they mastered!

I hope I explained this well enough. The saddest part is that this is just 50% of the power system the story contains, I haven’t brought up the power systems for both the Gods, the Spirits, and the Order of Hollow yet… But this is all for now. Thank you!
