The stats of strength, agility, and intelligence were three indicators of one's abilities. Each had its own significance for one's development, which was dependent on how one built their own stats. Every being in Giera's world that could level up had them, and they received one of each stat for every level they gained.
The physical strength and HP of a unit were represented by the strength stat. Each point of Strength stat was worth one point of maximum damage dealt without using a skill (basic attack) and ten points of HP. The HP indicated how much damage a unit could withstand before dying. Hp would regenerate one HP every hour.
Agility represented the top sprinting speed. One agility stat was equivalent to a top sprinting speed of 2 km/h.
The intelligence stat represented the mana reservoir of a unit. One intelligence stat point equaled ten MP. If MP was depleted, it would regenerate itself at a rate of one MP per hour.
A unit had to fill their experience point requirements to level up in order to gain more stat points.
Every level required 25 points, which could be obtained by killing a leveled unit. The experience points awarded would be 0.5 for each unit one level lower and minus 0.025 for each level lower, down to zero at a gap of 21 levels. Units of the same level would grant 1 experience point. A unit one level higher would grant 2 experience points, and each additional level higher would grant an additional 2 experience points, up to a maximum of 40 experience points.
This would apply regardless of whether the unit simply assisted or delivered the decisive blow; as long as they inflicted damage, all participants would receive experience points based on a comparison of their own level and the eliminated unit.
When the unit leveled up, it would receive two skill points in addition to one stat each of Strength, Agility, and Intelligence.
The unit would receive an additional 2 skill points as bonus points when leveling up for the first time (Level 2), for a total of 4 skill points. Following that, the unit would receive two skill points per level thereafter.
The level 1 units were put to the test by not receiving their first skill point bonuses, making it extremely difficult for them to advance to level 2. Only the strongest and fittest would survive.
Every ten levels, a unit could evolve and gain new skills, one active and one passive, one point of defense and magic defense, and bonus stat points. The bonus stats were determined by the unit's evolution.
Eon subconsciously understood what was indicated in his stats board without anyone teaching him, just like the very first humanoids at the beginning of this world and so the monsters who were not nearly as intelligent as humanoids.
Not because he was smart enough to know or because of his strong instincts, but because this was how things worked in this world.

The howling of monsters from afar could be heard resonating throughout the area in a place covered in massive trees dancing in the wind. It flew for a few moments before landing on top of one of the tallest trees in the area, a massive silhouette of a bird cast beneath the grassy patches of land. Which the weaker creatures beneath awaited in order to continue their journey.
A pair of brown retractable gooey eyes poked out from the concealment of the tall grasses and wandered their gaze throughout the place, remaining that way until certain confirmation that nothing was around. Eon emerged from the grasses and began crawling down the rough stones on the ground. As he scurried from one patch of grass to another, his body wiggled as it folded in his every crawl.
He would occasionally stop to feed on the algae attached to the stones and wood, because, unlike his previous crystal form, this form required food to survive. So he spent yesterday eating and eating while waiting for his mana to replenish on its own, which was at a rate of 1 MP per hour.

As his mana regenerated, he began crawling around looking for prey; however, hunting was far from easy. Prey was difficult to come by, and if he did find any, they were part of a pack and would easily crush him if he tried to attack one of the members. Furthermore, predators were everywhere, and if he managed to attract their attention, he would die. Especially since he was only a few attacks away from death due to his low HP.
He kept crawling, sticking his body into any narrow spaces to travel safely while his eyes wandered in search of any signs of a target. He wiggled around for hours before coming to a halt when he came across an unusually lone monster.

Slugs were usually found in groups and would attack in unison if they were attacked, even by other Slugs. Due to their lack of companions to look after them, lone Slugs were rare and would only come out during the day when they could see their surroundings. These lone Slugs were either newly born Slugs who had not yet joined a group or extremely aggressive Slugs who had been kicked out of their previous group.
Eon's gooey eyes darted around the area, looking for signs of the Slug's companions. The lone Slug was peacefully feeding on the algae on the stones, its eyes darting around the area as it crawled forward slowly.
After a few seconds of waiting, Eon emerged from behind the dark blue stones and crawled toward his lone prey. As he approached the Slug, its retractable eyes darted at him, but, like the others, it made no reaction to his presence and continued eating. Slugs did not regard other Slugs as predators, and one lone Slug could be of assistance to another Slug; four eyes were preferable to two.
Eon quickly approached the Slug and imitated what it was doing; he began to feed on algae while gradually closing the gap between them. He approached the Slug's back slowly, unaware of his plan. When he arrived at the Slug, he crawled up to its massive body and positioned himself in the center. Despite being alarmed, the Slug could only stare at him with both of its gooey eyes.

After receiving the damage, the Slug began to move in an attempt to escape, growling as its entire body shivered. Eon, on the other hand, began to slide down the body of the Slug due to the slippery mucus that was dripping all over the Slug. Slugs were able to remove anything gripping to their body, preventing any form of hold, thanks to their racial exclusive skill, Body Mucus.

As he fell to the ground, both of Eon's eyes lifted up, his circular eyes widened in surprise, covered in slimy mucus, watching the Slug as it crawled away from him, its eyes darting on him. A mud ball flew toward him and, before he could react, hit his face, causing his gooey eyes to return to his body.
[Mud Ball has dealt 1.30 magic damage to you.]
Eon growled in pain as his eyes hid inside his head after suffering his first injury since arriving in this world. Before he could move, another ball of mud landed in his face, immobilizing him in excruciating pain.
[Mud Ball has dealt 1.30 magic damage to you.]
As his body shivered in pain, he fell to the ground, and another mud landed on him, this time on his stomach, folding his large and lengthy body in half.

[Mud Ball has been activated.]
A ball of mud flew from his mouth toward his large foe, and when it landed in its face, the Slug reacted similarly to him, groaning in pain while shivering and covering both of its eyes.
[Mud Ball has dealt 1.30 magic damage.]
Eon wasted no time, forcing his heavy body to stand up and crawl toward his target, firing another ball of mud from his mouth. Which cost twice as much MP as the Mud Ball the Slug was firing.
[Mud Ball has been activated.]
The Slug, who was about to fire another Mud Ball, was slammed by a ball of mud, and its Mud Ball hit nothing.
[Mud Ball has dealt 1.30 magic damage.]
Eon extended his head and lunged his eyes toward the Slug, attempting to make physical contact once more.
[Lethal Augmentation has been activated.]
His gooey eyes touched the Slug's head, and the Slug's entire body shook as a result of the damage it sustained.
[Lethal Augmentation has dealt 1.45 physical damage.]
The Slug's brief immobilization allowed Eon to close the gap between them and lunge his entire body to make physical contact with his slippery adversary.

Eon lunged his retractable eyes one last time and reached for the escaping Slug, which was attempting to save its own life.
[Lethal Augmentation has been activated.]
His elastic eyes landed on the tail of his intended target, and that was all he needed to end the battle.
[Lethal Augmentation has dealt 1.45 physical damage.]
The Slug's entire body fell to the mucus-filled ground. Eon was left staring at his former prey, who was lying in front of him. His pouty mouth moved back and forth, as if chasing his own breath. He remained like this for a few moments, waiting for the pain all over his body to go away.
[You have received 1 experience point.]
Eon crawled away and hid in the cover of tall grasses, this time with the intention of finding a safe hiding place while his HP and MP replenished, which would take hours to fill.
Another battle had ended, but more dangerous ones would follow.
