Inside a specific area hidden behind stone piles and tall grasses, near the muddy riverbank where clear water was passing by. Right in the heart of the great forest of Kegali, one of the largest forests in Giera.

Inside the entangled root beneath a massive tree, where large creatures were unable to pass through due to the root walls, leaving only a few narrow paths as entrances. As the sun slowly set, there was little light coming through, along with the sound of the wind and the gentle song of birds above. A small space with humid soil as a floor, where the inhabitant of the small room left behind leftovers of various fruits, such as seeds, dried fruit skins, and small branches.

As a green fruit the size of a tennis ball was repeatedly pushed into the small room, the sound of something soft tugging on the hard roots echoed. The green circular fruit finally made it inside the hidden sanctuary after a few repeated pushes. Eon followed it, crawling toward the fruit he had picked up and pushed all the way to this room. A place where he could feed without fear of being jumped by any of the forest's predators, of which there were plenty.

His circular mouth opened and he began to chew on the fruit's skin. He paused for a few seconds after a few bites and pushed the fruit toward a small opening in the corner of his humid room. The fruit was right at the entrance to the opening that was also acting as a window. Eon stood next to the fruit and continued eating while his eyes were drawn to the setting sun.

One of his peculiar habits, of which he had no recollection. Like his unusual wisdom for a newborn child, let alone a monster, he would remain perplexed as to how he had such behaviors. He had no recollection of how or why he got them, but they were deeply ingrained in his subconscious. Some of the things that remained and were not, or could not, be completely removed by Kialtare.

As darkness gradually took over, the place became silent, with only the gentle sound of night wind as the lullaby echoed throughout. As the breeze blew through Eon's small window and touched him, his retractable eyes softened and his mouth opened, taking in the soothing surroundings. It was a brief respite inside the dangerous Kegali forest.

As the night grew darker, the full moon rose above the starry night sky, casting rays of light across the pitch-black wilderness. Then the sound of the night dwellers began to pervade the area. The hunt began as howling echoed in every corner of the forest, and the dangerous monsters of this forest ran around looking for prey.

Moving faster than Eon and with terrifying viciousness, killing anything in their path, but not only to gain level, but to feed and survive for another day.

A young majestic wolf appeared in front of Eon's tree. Wandering around the dark place, covered in gray fur and with eyes as red as blood. Behind it was a pack of Diviar wolves that Eon couldn't see. Standing half a meter tall, with sharp white fangs protruding from its rumbling mouth, capable of piercing skin and destroying flesh.

The Pup Diviar Wolf growled as its gaze darted to the Slug hiding among the strong roots. The wolf could smell him, but it would not bother attacking him because it disliked his bitter-tasting meat, fortunately for Eon. Wolf packs were on the hunt for wild boars, deer, and even an entire bear. But they would certainly kill Eon if they found him out in the open, because this was the Diviar wolves' territory at night.

Eon crawled away from the window, pulling the fruit with his mouth, not even making eye contact with his unexpected visitor outside. This was not his first encounter with one, or even an entire pack of them; he had been seeing them since he was a motionless crystal ball. He was aware of the disparity in abilities between his and the Pup Diviar Wolf outside, and his instinct told him not to test their might, at least not yet.

The distant howling of Diviar wolves echoed. As a response, the Pup Diviar Wolf raised its head and howled, activating its racial exclusive skill, Howling Call, which was their primary mode of communication. And, without wasting time, the Pup Diviar Wolf dashed away, followed by a pack that it was leading. A young alpha wolf who was expected to succeed the entire tribe's leadership and someday lead the Diviar wolves of this territory.

Eon rolled the half-finished fruit to the far corner of the room. Then he used it as a pillow and rested his head on it. He closed his eyes and let the gentle lullaby of the wind lull him to sleep, replenishing all of his energy before embarking on his next journey as another morning arrived.

A ray of sunlight from above passed through Eon's sleeping quarters. His retractable eyes poked out of his head as the gentle touch of the morning sun caressed his slimy body. His body began to move, and his circular mouth began to feed on the half-eaten fruit that he had used as a pillow the night before. He finished the other half in a matter of seconds and crawled toward the exit of his safe room.

His gooey eyes poked out from the roots that covered his room, scanning the area for any signs of danger. In comparison to the dangerous night's scenery, where monsters hunting for prey were everywhere, the location was more serene. The soothing sound of the river's running water and the chirping of birds greeting the new morning dominated the scene. The tall grasses and the high leaves of the trees that surrounded the little haven were dancing in unison.

Although the area appeared to be peaceful at this time of day, this did not mean that there was no danger. In Eon's still-fragile existence, everything around him could be considered dangerous.

Eon emerged from the cover of the tangled roots and crept inside the tall grasses to begin his own hunt. With the intention of becoming stronger...

However, the dangers of this forest were only beginning to emerge. And, like Eon, they were merciless and aggressive.

Sometimes it was not a species' individual abilities that made it dangerous.

Sometimes... It was a large number, an overwhelming number.
