Chapter 6: Ch: 6 [Nick Fury]

I had a talk with my family. I told them the truth. Yup. I finally did it. Got it all out of my heart. Now, I am feeling good, you know, that feeling you get when you finally confess you know you have done wrong. It's like a stone has been lifted from my chest. Although I know my mom and sister must be feeling down. They might blame me, but I deserve it. After all, I blew up everything.

To tell you the truth... I did love that girl with all my heart. Maybe I still love her even though I said those things about revenge. You know that one person whom you have loved with all your heart... You really can't get them out of your head that easily. Especially the ones who betrayed you after receiving your love.

My time for crying and drinking is over. But let me assure you all, I will find her. I will take everything away from her. I will humiliate her in public. Then, I will ask her a simple question, "Alica... How does it feel to stand on the other end of the dagger?"

Haaa. I won't annoy you all anymore with my broken love story, which is very common in this rotten world. Let's come back to my family's reaction.

After hearing my explanation, my mom and sister sat in their places with sad expressions on their faces. I can tell I have disappointed them. Now I am waiting for them to vent their anger on my head.

"Bro... It's not your fault. I am sure that gold digger will get her dues," said my sister with a sweet smile. Her vibrant blue eyes don't have a shred of anger.

"Yeah. She will... I will make sure of that. Ah! I got some good news too... I have awakened. I am going to register tomorrow... Mom," I said as I looked toward my mom, and continued, "You and sis are going to live with me in this house. I still have some savings. So, you don't have to work anymore. Sis is going to go to the best high school in the city... I will make sure to take care of that tomorrow. It's time for me to step up..."

My sister jumped up from the sofa, rushed over to me with shining eyes, and showered me with torrents of questions, "What power did you awaken? Tell me... Tell me... Did you get something cool like Superman's strength? Don't tell me it's something like super speed like Flash. Or are you going to shout something like Shazam and transform?"

Ahh!!! How the heck do I tell the truth to her? It's kinda weird and awkward. I can't possibly tell her that I awakened Eroge power.

However, before we could continue our family conversation... the calling bell rang. Huh? Who is it? There isn't anyone supposed to come today. I can the humming sound of car engines stopping on the street before my house. I can guess that there are five to six cars outside my house. And there is also that sound of an aircraft.

Fuck!!! I just want a peaceful life with my family and my upcoming harem. I don't want to get involved with those hero organizations and get entangled in their politics. Well, let's see which fucker is disturbing us this late. It's already past 10 PM. So, they better give me a reason for their intrusion.

I quickly took out my phone and put the Daily Bugle's number on the dialer. You never know... Unknown people, cars, aircraft... This is just a little insurance. "Alex Wilson... I heard about you from Natasha... We need your help," said Nick Fury in a commanding tone, without any formal introduction.

Really man... He disturbed me when I was reconnecting with my family. Now, he is asking for my help in that tone. I am not sure if he is requesting me or ordering me. I can guess it's the latter one. These arrogant bastards... Who do they think they are?

Nick Fury is the head of the meta-human regulation organization known as S.H.I.E.L.D. and often a go-between for the Avengers. But after the reality merge, things changed. Although S.H.I.E.L.D. and Avengers became two different organizations, they maintained a friendly relationship.

Natasha Romanova, aka Black Widow, works for both organizations. She acts as a bridge between S.H.I.E.L.D. and Avengers. They came asking for my help... This means Natasha must have told him something about me. Moreover, how can I help them?

"Are you requesting or ordering?" I ask with a smirk.

Oh, Fury, I don't fear you. I can destroy you without lifting my finger. I can see a few lady officials and men officials surrounding the area. It's like a lockdown.

"Cat Woman has been poisoned, and she is in critical condition... Her survival rate is below 10%. And Black Widow's been poisoned. It's something that even her genetically altered body can't repel... I don't like that expression on his face, nor his tone. It's like he isn't even worried. But, then again, he did come here for help.

Even though Natasha gave me all those expensive things. I am really grateful, but I am sure she only wanted to know the secret behind my power so that she could use it for her own gain. I got already scammed by a girl. I ain't falling for this shit again.

Moreover, I don't have any medical power. I am not even sure how I can help them. But if there is a way for me to help them, then I ain't gonna do it for free. I am gonna suck their wealth and increase my bank account.

"I think you didn't hear my question properly... I said... Are you requesting or ordering?" I say while maintaining my poker face.

A yellow tint appeared on Nick Fury's right eye. He flinched. I am not so sure what happened, but I can see sweat drops on his forehead. Humm... Now that I think of it... I remember there was a rumor a few years ago stating that Nick Fury is an awakener.
