Chapter 4: [S1] Ch3: Catto #3

"Hahh... Hahhh.... Hahhh.. Haackkk.... Heukkk..." I couldn't breathe well. I unconsciously put my hands on my neck. I felt like there was a rope strangling me. I tried removing that rope I felt. I couldn't. It was still there.

[Please take this, Yui-sama. It's medicine that can help ease you.] Rui-chan said as she handed me a floating glass of water and a medicine that appeared out of nowhere.

I took it. My hands were shaking. Some of the water got spilled. I hurriedly drank it. I threw the glass on the floor. It broke into shards. I lay down. A few moments later, I calmed down.

[Does Yui-sama feel better now?] 

"... Yeah... Thanks..." 

[If that's the case, then how about we take a short tour to ease your mind a bit?]

"... Sure."

I agreeded. We headed out. We're on the hallways. I looked at the window for a second. I looked away. I didn't dare to look outside anymore. We continued walking. 

There was no one. Other than Rui-chan and me, there was no one. Other than Rui-chan and me, it was so quiet. It was dark. It was dim. 

[Do you want me to open the lights, Yui-sama?] 

"You won't mind?"

[Of course I won't. Something as simple as opening the lights isn't much of a work. It will only take me a second.] 

After she said that, all the lights on the hallway started turning on. It was suddenly so bright. It was bright. It made my eyes squint a bit. 

[How do you like that, Yui-sama?] 

"Cool, how did you do it?"

[I am an AI, so I naturally have a bit of control over some technology. They are my same kind, after all.] 

"I see. You're such a useful robot maid."

[I appreciate the compliments. Still, I wouldn't be able to do this without Yui-sama. Yui-sama is the one who invented me from the future, so all the credits are all to you.] 

"Really?" 

[Yes, and I am very grateful to Yui-sama.]

"Ok, that's cool. Anyways, let's take a rest there." I said. I pointed at a bench on the side. 

[That's fine by me. Humans need to take a break every minute.] 

We headed there and sat down. Actually, I'm the only one who's sitting down since Rui-chan is flying. You know, she's a flying TV.

"Hey, you said that you're from the future, right?" 

[Indeed. I came from the future and time travelled back through time in order to serve Yui-sama once again.]

"What was it like in the future?" 

[... Chaos. Just pure chaos.] 

"Can you describe what do you mean by chaos?"

[In the past, humanity believed that they are the ones who's destroying the planet. But in truth, the world can never maintain by itself without the help of humanity. The god made humans to be ruling the world, just like him. Without the rulers, earth collapsed.] 

"... Right, you mentioned many times that everyone turned into dust. How did it happen though?"

[Does Yui-sama in this timeline believe in aliens?] 

"Aliens? Of course I do! I have many of them in our house!" 

[Well, it was all caused by the invasion of the aliens. That's all I can tell for now.] 

"Eh? Why?"

[I don't want to give Yui-sama an information overload. Don't worry though, I will tell more stories about the future to Yui-sama little by little.]  

"Stories? I'm looking forward to it!" 

 [Is Yui-sama thirsty?] 

"Well, kinda."

[Then, would you like a fresh bottle of cold mineral water?]

"No no no, I want juice."

"I want some fresh and cold pineapple juice!" 

[Haha, seems like Yui-sama is still the same even in the past.] 

"So I still like pineapple juice on the future?"

[Yep.] 

After that, Rui-chan made another something appear out of nowhere. It was a can of pineapple juice. I took it. It was cold. I opened it. I drank it. It was cold. It was refreshing. It tasted good.

"Say, Rui-chan."

[Is something troubling your mind?] 

"If ever I'm truly the only human in this world, then I guess I'll be alone."

[I'm here for you, though.]

"Ahh, sorry about that." 

[It's fine. I'm just an AI, I can't be truly considered as a live companion.] 

I took a sip once more. I stared at Rui-chan. She stared at me too. We stared at each other. I felt like smiling. I smiled. I then patted Rui-chan's head. 

[What is it, Yui-sama?]

"Nothing, I'm just happy to have someone to talk to." 

[I see. You flatter me.] 

Well, it's not like I'm really patting her head. Touching Rui-chan feels like I'm just touching a TV, seriously. Though, for a robot, this isn't bad. 

Also, for some reason, an animation of blushing appeared on her screen.

"Can I consider us as friends now?" 

[I have always been Yui-sama's friend.] 

"Then, can you stop adding the -sama? Friends doesn't respect each other to that extent."

[I can't. This is how I'm programmed.] 

"Programmed?" 

[In simple terms, I am unable to change the way I speak.] 

"Eh? Are you serious?"

[Yes. I wouldn't dare lie to Yui-sama.] 

"Hey! I told you to stop calling me -sama!" 

[Please pardon me, but I can't.] 

"Please?" 

[I can't.]

"Please?"

[I can't?] 

"Please?"

[I am unable to can.] 

"Forget it! Just go f*ck yourself!" I shouted as I made a middle finger. I started running away. 

[Please wait for me, Yui-sama!] 

I was running with my full speed. Tears came out from my eyes. I was crying. I couldn't stop them. I was crying. I was sad. My heart hurts for some reasons. I was mad. I was angry. I was annoyed. 

I was running. I run, and run, and run. I didn't look back. I couldn't hear Rui-chan anymore. I stopped. 

"... Rui-chan?" I asked. I looked back. My voice just echoed. I couldn't see any floating blue screen anymore. I looked around. She wasn't there. She wasn't anywhere. 

I turned my face to a window. I walked towards a window. I opened the window. I climbed up on the window. I spread my arms, thinking I'm a bird. I jumped. I landed on the ground. I was swimming in blood. I died.
