'You are now entering the Adagross Dungeon. There are emergency exits, however, you will not receive your completion reward if you use them.'
I heard a voice coming from the sky before I was transported to another location. I looked around and saw stone on all sides except the front. It was a cold and damp place that was just slightly lit up by some torches stuck into the wall. There was water dripping from the roof of the cave.
I guess this was the dungeon.
I began walking forwards and carefully observed the area around me. The stone was rough and uneven, like the inside of a mine. There seemed to be a large room straight ahead.
Eventually, I found a dagger on the ground, as I bent down to pick it up, I heard the screech of a bat. I turned around to see a bat violently attacking me. In response, I summoned [Blood Blade] and tried to swing at it. However, it managed to dodge my attacks and actually landed on my shoulder.
I tried to swat it away but it managed to get a bite of my shoulder, however, unexpectedly, it suddenly stopped and dropped to the ground. I looked down at it and saw that it was still alive but it no longer showed hostility to me. I poked it and it still did not respond.
What the hell? Maybe it was something to do with my Vampire System.
I decided to just keep walking and see what I could find. I looked around and saw a few other random things on the ground. I seemed to be able to put them into my inventory so I didn't have to carry them around which was convenient. The bat was also following behind me for some reason.
Around the corner, a slime suddenly jumped out at me. It was made of a sticky green liquid and seemed to be digesting some random scraps in it's stomach. I jumped back and just barely dodged it. I moved and slashed at it with my [Blood Blade] but all it did was spray some of it's liquid into the wall. Before long, the slime regenerated back to it's original size.
How am I meant to kill this thing.
I slashed at it a few more times to no avail. Every time, the liquid would return to its body and it would reform back to full size. With nothing else left to do, I shot a [Freeze Bolt] at it. The slime suddenly froze and I quickly swung at the slimy icicle that formed. The ice shattered and spread its body all over the ground, littering the ground with shards of ice and green slime.
Suddenly, something appeared above it.
{+50 x 2 experience (DOUBLED)}
So it looked like I receive experience whenever I killed something in the dungeon, that would certainly help me grind more experience to level up.
I decided to quickly check my experience menu.

At this rate I was going to level up in no time. However, I remembered that the mission was ranked E+, which was significantly higher than any mission I'd done up to now.
I kept my guard up as I continued my way through. It was almost completely silent aside from the occasional water droplet and my own footsteps. I ventured further in and picked up some more loot from the ground. I didn't have anything I could use them for but I assumed that I could sell them at the Haven shop.
I picked up more loot for almost ten minutes without any resistance. However, as I made my way around another corner, I was ambushed by a group of extremely large spiders. They were all around the size of a horse and had liquid dripping out of massive fangs at the front of their face. Fur covered their bodies from head to toe and they all stared at me with eight eyes.
I was stuck in a wide open cave area and the spiders surrounded me.
Crap.
I raised [Blood Blade] and prepared to fight them. None of them rushed straight at me and instead, they all slowly crawled towards me. It was a terrifying feeling, their hairy legs made practically no noise as they creeped along the ground.
I was stuck, there was nothing I could do except face them all head on. I counted approximately five of them as they slowly and steadily closed the distance between us. I sensed that this was going to be extremely difficult.
I decided to cut my left hand again and feed my blood to [Blood Blade], simultaneously activating [Blood Strength]. My bright red blood dripped onto the blade, changing its colour to a darker and deeper crimson tone. My left hand hadn't even healed fully and now I was cutting it again, it was painful, but no more painful then anything else I've experienced in my life.
I raised [Blood Blade] again and looked around at the spiders which were still slowly crawling towards me. They were less than two metres away from me at the point and yet they still hadn't pounced.
The next few seconds went by without any movement. Then suddenly, they all jumped at me at the same time.
In response, I swung my [Blood Blade] and tried to hit as many of them as I could. The blade slashed into their thick hair and drew out blue blood, spurting all of the ground. I moved around as the spiders attempted to stick their fangs into my skin. All of a sudden, I felt the hair of a spider tickling the back of my leg. I quickly turned around and swung at it.
It was mere centimetres from sticking its poison-covered fangs into my leg. The blade cleanly sliced off its head as it poofed into nothingness, spurting blue blood everywhere. I tried to regain my composure and balance to fight off the rest of them, however, I felt the tickling sensation of another on the back of my neck. A shiver went down my spine as I realised the peril that I was in.
Within the dark, cold cave, there was no one who could possibly save me.
