Mashiko followed her snowy wind in many sections of the building.
"You can't hide" Mashiko announced. "It's only a matter of time before I find you"
She followed her ice around a corner as it shot up the stairs that led to another floor of the building.
"He actually managed to get up these stairs despite his injury?" Mashiko thought as she quickly followed up the stairs.
Once on the second floor, she looked around and saw her wind hovering stationary on a door. She developed a bad feeling and was hesitant to open it. Instead, she walked up to the door and put her ear to it. After focusing and tuning in to whatever sound she could hear, she heard the boy she was following struggling. And a woman shushing him. She couldn't directly make it out, but it seemed like the boy wasn't alone. She wanted to listen for as long as she could but her suspicion was confirmed when she heard a peculiar sound.
"AWWWW"
When she heard this, she jumped back a bit. But, she rushed forwards instantly and busted through the door. She saw the boy on the ground with a crow over his injured leg, as he scooted away from what was in front of her. Mashiko followed the crow that flew around the lady she saw.
*MEANWHILE*
The remaining crows hovered above Shira. But, they weren't attacking nor did they seem like they were defending.
"Hmm, they don't seem interested in me at all" Shira mumbled.
Shira glanced to the left, towards the building. Then back towards the crows.
"They're not even focused on attacking me...?" Shira thought.
Shira then decided to slam his hands into the ground. He ripped chunks of the street and raised them in the air. After flexing his arms back a bit, Shira launched the chunks at the birds. However, he didn't stick around to see if it would hit them or to even launch a follow-up attack. As soon as he throw them, he darted to the left towards the building. When he was a few feet away from the entrance, the crows swiftly flew in front of him.
"I knew it" he thought. " They were just a distraction"
Just as he was about to leap within he heard an "AWWW" from inside the building.
Most of his body was within the building, when something grabbed his foot and his momentum was lost. He fell to the ground before looking back. When he looked back, he saw many crows forming the outline of a woman who matched him in size.
The woman was tugging on him to come outside. She built her shallow aura and she began to pull Shira out of the building. Shira responded by building his aura as well.
"Not too many can match Kintaro's power" Shira said shocked. "But, this is just the tip of the iceberg"
"Kintaro, fifteen percent!" Shira stated. His muscle definition grew by alot more as his hair turned into a darker shade of green.
Kintaro flipped on his back and tucked his legs close to his body just before extending them back out, kicking the lady backwards. The crows just broke apart and then reformed.
"Still can manage?" Shira stated as he rose to his feet. "Alright, I'll give you the tip top of the first barrier."
"Kintaro, twenty percen-"
*BOOM*
The face of the building blew off as Mashiko came flying out of it. Shira turned around just in time to catch her.
"Mashiko, what happened?" Shira stated as he looked down at her.
Mashiko rushed to her feet and turned around to look up at the building. Shira looked up too. A woman with crow wings attached to her back soared out of the building with the body in her hands.
"Karasu, catch" the women said and she tossed the boy.
The crows that resembled the woman all flew together and formed around the boy, keeping him the air.
"Take him" the woman said.
"AWWWW" the crows replied as they began to fly away.
"Damn it" Shira stated as he turned and rushed forwards to follow it.
The woman quickly appeared in front of him and kicked him back.
"Focus on your main issue" the woman stated.

After falling to the ground, Shira looked up.
"Who are you?" He asked.
"I'm the Night Crow" the lady replied.
"What do you want with that boy?" Mashiko asked.
"Absolutely nothing" the night crow answered. "But we know why you guys wanted him, so we had to take him"
"We?" Mashiko said.
"It's obvious, isn't it?" The night crow replied.
"She's with the drowning fist. Somehow, they knew about what we planned." Shira stated.
The night crow slowly levitated to the ground as her wings stopped flapping.
"One hit was enough to stop both of you?" The night crow asked. "I don't know why boss was so antsy about stopping you"
"Tabuke" Mashiko stated.
"He's quite popular around here" The night crow stated. "Too bad you guys are on the opposing side"
The Night Crow picked both Mashiko and Kintaro up by their necks.
Cshkshkkkcskkk" Shira uttered as he was strangled.
"Let's not all speak at once" the Night Crow stated as her grip tightened.
Mashiko grabbed the Night Crow's arms as she built her aura of shallow. Ice began to form on the Night Crow's arms. The Night Crow smiled.
"Ckkssksksk...Kinta....ro" Shira stated as he grabbed the Night Crow's hand around his neck. "thirty per.....cent"
*SWOOSH* *CRACK*
The ice on the Night Crow's arms cracked into many pieces as her arm did as well. Upon activating thirty percent, Shira gained the power to rip the Night Crow's arm completely off and he did. Black feathers gushed into the air. The torn-off arm Shira had turned into many crows, who flew apart. The same happened to the Night Crow's body. The crows from her body and her arm flew into the air until flocking together and reforming the woman. But, she only retained one arm when reforming together. The arm Mashiko froze did not reform.
"Hmph" The lady thought as she inspected this. "Something about that ice leaves permanent damage. I'll probably need Karasu to be able to restore it."
As the lady stayed stationary in the air, Shira glanced at Mashiko.
"I guess that was enough to make her rethink this fight" Shira stated.
"I'm not sure if we should let her go or not" Mashiko stated. "She could've killed the both of us as soon as she had us. But it seems, that was just a bluff."
"There's no telling how long those crows have been gathering information on us" Shira stated. "I think we end it now"
"I don't know, Shira" Mashiko replied.
"I believe I can finish her with the third barrier" Shira stated. "With that amount of power and your assistance from a distance, we can end this. That arm that came into contact with your ice didn't reform, Mashiko. She couldn't regenerate it. Imagine if you used your staff."
Mashiko studied the missing arm on the lady. And then looked down at her hand as frost starting forming on it.
"We can do this" Mashiko stated as she cliched her fist.
"I know we can" Shira stated. "Now. Kintaro, let's go fifty perce-"
"AWWWW" another crow sounded as it swooped in.
It started flowing beside the lady.
"Karasu, that was quick" the lady stated. "You're becoming faster every day"
"AWWWW" the crow replied as it turnt it's attention to Mashiko and Shira, who were looking up at it.
"No, we'll leave them be for now." The lady stated as she too looked at Mashiko and Shira while smiling. "But next time Karasu, I'll let you make me proud."
The lady then turned into many crows and flew away. As soon as she did, Mashiko dropped to her knees with slight sweats while panting.
"Are you okay?" Shira asked concerned.
"Yeah, I'm fine" Mashiko stated. "It's nothing, it's just -"
"Oh yeah" Shira stated with a light chuckle. "I forgot. You're afraid big groups of animals aren't you?"
"Ah, shut up!" Mashiko stated. "It's much deeper than that"
