Really, what a ridiculous outcome.

When Aurora first met Princess Estelle, she remembered her ill-fated past as the Crown Princess.

It gave her a bitter aftertaste seeing the Princess trying her best to get along with everyone. This made Aurora do something unlike herself.

So, Aurora decided to use Crown Princess Estelle to achieve her goal of catching Lillian off guard. But who knew Lillian didn’t have any patience and tried to get rid of Aurora first in front of a large audience at the archery field?

Well, it is thanks to that Aurora witnessed Lillian's strange mana firsthand. She also collected a sample of the black blood and sent it to Lucius. After testing the blood sample, Lucius found out it was the same blood on Princess Estelle when she used herself as bait to draw out the person who killed her other Knight.

With that, she no longer needed to use the Princess to get to Lillian…but…

What is with this situation?

Wearing a white and black maid outfit, Aurora stood on the stage in front of the large, packed theater with all eyes turned to her.

So, how did it get to this point?

Going back a few hours, after Aurora finally remembered how she set up the Princess as bait, she found herself no longer able to undo the damage she had done.

As the Crown Princess of a foreign nation, if something happened to Princess Estelle while she was here, the Neutral Kingdoms would hold the Epheria Empire responsible. For Aurora, this was a good chance to destroy the lives of the royal family sitting comfortably in the palace.

While the people she hated were no longer alive, seeing the aristocrat factions fall to misery would only bring her delight. However…

“Lucius, as the Duke of Rizar, will get caught in the crossfire.”

To remedy the situation, the best bet was to cancel the play. But…

“What? What are you talking about?” The instructor stared at Aurora with a deadly glare.

“As I said, the students are in danger. Cancel the play.”

The students looked on baffled, including Princess Estelle and Griselda.

“With what evidence?”

“Intuition.”

“!!! Look here! All top classes are required to put on a play. This is a tradition passed down since the founding of the Carlisle Academy. Unless there is a situation that calls for it…”

“And this is one of those situations.” Aurora interrupted her. “Or will you take responsibility if a student dies? Do you think you can handle it?”

Princess Estelle put a hand on her forehead. She didn’t know what was going on, but that is not how you ask for a favor.

Aurora didn’t consider the Princess’ reaction and continued. “I don’t think someone of your position as a first-year instructor of 2 years has such authority.”

Aurora’s “advice”, however, was not taken very well.

“Hah!!!” The instructor crossed her arms. “Who do you think you are? You think being engaged to the Duke gives you the right to say and do anything you want? You are not the Duchess yet!” The instructor smirked. “And who is to say you will be?”

The other students near them at that time laughed at this while whispering.

“Isn’t she saying that it's only a matter of time until His Grace breaks the engagement?”

“He probably fell for her beauty at first, but when the magic wears off, His Grace will come to his senses and realizes there is no merit in marrying her.”

They glanced at Aurora, thinking she would get angry and throw a tantrum, but Aurora barely heard them as she was thinking about something.

“Tsk. She’s only pretending.” The students were annoyed at her blatantly ignoring them.

Aurora turned around and walked towards Griselda and the Princess.

She was at a loss. ‘Maybe nothing will happen?’

Just as she thought this, her foresight ability gave her a warning.

Lillian Lancaster smiling, with a horrendous expression, as though she was pleased with her handiwork.

“…I don't have a choice.”

When she approached Princess Estelle, she leaned forward and whispered something in her ear before leaving.

The instructor scoffed but didn’t bother calling her back. She did not need her for the play anyways. “Alright, alright.” She clapped her hands. “Let’s start changing our outfits and get ready!”

The students started hustling about, while Lady Yulia and her two friends approached the instructor.

“Teacher, are you not worried?”

“Yes?” The instructor blinked her eyes at Yulia.

“Did you forget about the rumors? I fear for your safety if His Grace finds out what was said today.”

Hearing Yulia, the color drained from her face.

Yulia and her two friends left, leaving the instructor panicking about what she said to Aurora.

Griselda looked at Yulia, wondering why she said that to the teacher. She shook her head. ‘I shouldn’t concern myself with her. I am no longer part of their group.” After meeting Aurora and getting closer to Princess Estelle, Griselda learned to stand up for herself. Furthermore, her Father reassured her that the Nolbeia family needed the Enlil family just as much as they needed them. Neither could conduct business without the other.

“What did Lady Aurora say?” Griselda asked the Princess. She had a feeling it had something to do with wanting to cancel the play.

Estelle looked perplexed as she recalled Aurora’s warning from word to word.

“Have your Knight stay close by your side today, even when you are on stage. If you can, it is better if you do not participate. If you must, make sure you put up a strong shield when I tell you to. Without hesitation. And..."

“Princess?...Princess Estelle?”

The Princess smiled at Griselda. “It’s nothing. She only told me to keep my Knight close to me.”

Griselda seemed confused. “Why would she say that?”

“Indeed…I was wondering the same.”
