Cassis and his group also left after apologizing and praising Aurora's archery skills.

Aurora glanced at Keegan, who smiled in return.

“I didn’t kill anyone though.” Well, at least not since she was sent a thousand years into the future...

Keegan shrugged his shoulders. “I know.”

“Then…”

“You didn’t kill anyone directly, but it is not an exaggeration to say that your kidnapper was at death’s door and that you saved the Duke’s life.”

“You sure know a lot even though you weren’t there.” She heard Lucius tell Vale and Sia not to talk too much about what happened there, including the mysterious man they met.

Keegan blinked his eyes.

He noticed the caution in her tone. She had become wary of him.

The corner of his lips stretched into a grin. “I heard it directly from the Vice Cap, including how you "comforted" His Grace.” He said the last part with a low tone.

Sia…

Aurora pressed her lips together and turned around. “You’re wrong about one thing.”

“Yes?”

“I did use outside assistance,” Aurora confessed as she walked away.

What did Aurora mean by that?

Before she prepared to use her third arrow, she figured out what was wrong during the first two times. She realized that the problem was either in her posture or the length of time she used to release the arrow.

She used her foresight twice.

The first was to make sure Christopher would not hit her.

And then the second to see what would happen if she fixed her posture. If she missed, then that meant she was releasing the arrow too early. If she didn’t miss, then all she needed to do was fix her posture. With that, she was able to win.

But what Aurora did not know was what she did in itself was amazing. The fact that she was able to comprehend what she did wrong and what she needed to do to fix it in a few seconds, which took other martial arts users a few years to learn, was not something just anyone can do.

It was a gamble.

Because with this, Aurora confirmed two important points about her foresight.

One, the length of her vision increased from 30 seconds to one minute. And second, the cooldown decreased from 15 minutes to 10 minutes.

Arora noticed this change appeared after she received her sigil, which caught her off guard. This was the first time she has ever heard of a Witch's ability changing without going through an 'awakening'. Then again, it was the first time she ever heard of magic being able to travel in time. Maybe...

Maybe, this was a sign that something will change on her Coming of Age day?

Keegan followed Aurora as she left. He didn't ask her what he meant because he still believed that what Aurora did required skill more than anything. He saw the will of a warrior from his people in her.

“Hey, wait for me! Don’t leave me behind!” Bea ran to catch up to them.

Speaking of being left behind, the Knight who first escalated the situation with Aurora was left lying on the ground.

Christopher lifted his head and opened his eyes, only to notice that everyone had forgotten about him.

In the first place, as someone recently assigned to the Rizar Knights, how could he dare cause trouble without the incentive from a one envious and rash brat?

Vale approached Christopher a few days ago and whispered deceiving words in his ears about the Duke's fiancee, who looks down on the Knights from the Aristocrat Faction.

“If it wasn’t for that kid, I wouldn’t be in this situation…” Christopher mumbled to himself, dreading the outlook of his upcoming future.

Lucius Rizar and Raya, who watched the whole thing unfold from the very beginning, left the spot at the window. The Duke sat in his chair in silence while the Captain anxiously waited.

“Send everyone from the Aristocrat Faction involved in this incident to the Red Night District and let them stay there for three nights. As for the rest, besides her two Knights, make them run 20 laps around the City without a break. If even one Knight stops for any reason, restart the count.”

Hearing this, Raya uncontrollably shivered. “T-the Red Night District?”

“Yes,” Lucius answered without pause.

The Red Light District is famous for where every man can go to satisfy their sexual desires and spend the night living in a sweet dream.

But then…there was the Red Night District…

Where every man who goes there risk losing their pride and virtue in just a single night.

In other words, it's a place filled with beautiful men…

Raya cleared his throat. “Are you sure? They might leave even if it means becoming a deserter."

He raised his eyebrows. "Even better."

In the first place, those branded with the 'deserter' title will not have a good future.

"...It will stir the aristocrats and cause trouble in the future. Should I at least contact the Vice Commander to expl…” Raya stopped talking when he noticed the Duke’s penetrating glare.

“No need. My arrangement with him concludes here. The punishment of my Knights is my business, not his or theirs.” Lucius leaned on his arm and slowly smiled. “If he comes complaining, tell him he can take their place if he wants. I might then reconsider.”

Raya. “…….”

'Ah...It's one thing to punish the newbies, but letting the Vice Commander take a three nights trip to the Red Night District...only Lucius Rizar, the Monster of the North would say this....'

Raya can imagine how horrified, to the point of turning pale, the Vice Commander would be if he heard what the Duke said.

Lucius waved his hands. “Let’s change the subject. What you reported before, is it true? Have you looked into it closely?”

The Captain nodded his head and sighed as his expression turned into one of worry.

The Duke leaned back against the chair and put his hand on his forehead. “Why?”

“…I can only say that she was probably an easy target for them. She fits their conditions quite clearly. Should I capture her?”

Lucius didn’t say anything.

In the past, before he met Aurora, this situation would not have made him hesitate. He would not have felt that the change in her occurred due to him. Or that he could have stopped it from happening.

It used to be easy to prioritize the Dukedom over his emotions, but it was no longer as easy since Aurora pried open the 20 years of emotions he kept locked away.

Lucius narrowed his eyes.

This time, he will make it so that those bastards don't have a way out. And this time, he will not fail to protect the person who gave him this warmth.

“Just keep an eye on her for now. Ask Aurora to come and see me in my office.”

The Captain placed his hand over his chest and bowed respectfully. “Yes, Your Grace.”
