—- On a chilly day —-

My name is Hizumaru Kitaro, I am a third-year student at Sunset Highschool.

“Hey Kitaro!! Help me! Yusa is after me still!”

That’s my best friend, Yazakamo Hiro, he’s very popular with the girls. Takamora Yusa, she is also popular among the girls and boys.

Some say her presence can make you fall head over heels for her.

I was never really interested into that romance stuff though.

“Eh…”

I shrugged, not having a slight care about it.

“C’mon Kitaro-“

The door slams open before Hiro can even finish his sentence.

“Hi-ro~! Please accept my chocolates and love for you!”

She smiles, closing in on Hiro.

“GAHH! I already told you no!”

Hm, Yusa, huh? Silver hair, blue eyes and has a figure like those models in the magazines, every dream girl a boy would want.

Hiro manages to dodge her hugs and kisses, he quickly runs out of the classroom.

“Hiro come back~!”

She sighs, Yusa quickly turns around and looks to my direction.

“Hey! Your Hiro’s best friend, right?”

She crosses her arms, looking down on me.

“Hm? What about it?”

I said irritated.

“Tell me everything about Hiro, I need to know the foods he likes so that when I become his wife I can cook him those dinners everyday.”

She flatters herself.

“Why don’t you go ask him yourself?”

I mumbled as I put my head down on the desk.

“You see, I would but he keeps running away from me!”

Yeah no sh*t, you keep scaring him with your lovey dovey acts.

She assuredly says.

That’s actually the opposite.

“Hiro~! Wait for me~!”

She storms out the classroom.

After some time, last bell rang and it was time to head home.

“K-Kitaro, i-is she gone..?”

Hiro anxiously says, checking his surroundings.

“Would you stop tugging on my shirt!”

I said as I gave him a knucklehead.

“Hey Hiro, why don’t you like that girl? She’s pretty, smart and confident, I mean any boy our age would want her.”

I curiously asked.

“Why do you wanna know? I thought you weren’t into that romance stuff.”

He smirks.

“Wait..did you just describe her? Could it be that you..like her!”

He exclaims.

“No, I’m just curious on why you don’t like her?”

I sigh.

We stopped by a vending machine to grab a snack.

“Well, you see, our parents made an agreement when we were little. As soon as we turn eighteen, we would get married. But I don’t wanna marry a girl that I don’t love, I always thought of Yusa as my little sister and not as a woman. I want to make my own decisions.”

He deeply says.

“Ehh..”

I stare at the sky.

“Hey Hiro, what does love feel like?”

I asked.

“Hm? Oh well, how do I explain it? When you truly love someone your heart gets a tingle, I guess? Anyway, we should really go home now before it gets late, see ya!”

He walks away.
