Chapter 33: Chapter 31: Hating

"Nishery, how's Hero? Is he okay now?" Jack asked as he saw Nishery descending the stairs.

"Yeah. I already talk to him."

"Oh, about how you can make him accept Rozkarl?"

"Wh..at?! What are you saying?! How can it relate to Rozkarl?"

"Nishery, you can't fool me, okay? After all, your boyfriend is Rozkarl."

"Dad! Why are you so interested in my life?"

"Of course, you're my daughter, so how can I not be interested?"

"But I'm already 17! And besides, you're never been like this toward Hero."

"Well, it's because you're a girl, so we're much interested in your love life, especially now that you are with Rozkarl. The person you HATE the most, isn't it?"

"Dad! I.. I hate you!" 

Nishery's mood in going downstairs was ruined as she saw Rozkarl who came out of the kitchen with her mother, hearing what Jack had said.

"Honey, don't tease our daughter too much, look, she's angry at you."

"Well, I didn't know that Rozkarl will hear what I'm saying, so it's not my fault, isn't it, Rozkarl?"

"Ye..yes!"

"Hahaha, you don't need to be so nervous. Hero will accept you too, and just treat our home as your home too, since we might be one family in the future." 

Jack just can't help but teased, as he finds it interesting.

This boy is too cute to tease, no wonder the two daughters will fight for him.

"Uncl..e.. it's.. too"

"What?! You don't want to be with my daughter?!"

"No.. I.. I want to be with your daughter!"

"Then that's good." 

"Honey, don't tease him too much as well! He might get scared of you and break up with Nishery."

"No.. Auntie. I will not break up with her."

"See. He will not break up with our lovely daughter, because if he did... He will see what will happen to him."

"Honey, stop that! You're pressuring him."

"Hahaha, fine."

"Then, Auntie Shane, I'll just go upstairs."

"Yeah, and don't do such a thing again, okay?"

"..."

"Hahaha, he's just kidding you. You can go upstairs, just ignore your Uncle Jack."

Then, Rozkarl goes upstairs being uncomfortable, as Jack had been teasing him too much.

He wants to go towards Hero's room to apologize and to talk to him, but he stops himself as he was sure that the two of them will just get into another fight, so he just goes towards Nishery's room.

"Nishery, can.. I come in?"

A moment passed before an answer came, "Ye..yes."

Rozkarl enter Nishery's room being uncomfortable and sat on the bed while looking at, who's been occupied with her phone.

"So... How.. did it go?" Rozkarl, trying to break the awkward atmosphere and tension, asked.

"Well, it.. didn't go well."

"Is.. he still.. angry at me? Did he not like me?" 

"Don't worry about him. He will accept you soon." Nishery said as she move closer to Rozkarl before shyly holding his hand.

Rozkarl became shy as well, but didn't avoid it and just let Nishery lean on his shoulder.

"And anyway, my.. brother, he said he will accept you on one condition."

"Really, then what condition?"

"If you prove to him that you're better than him."

"What? Uhm.. how could I do that? Will he really accept us?"

"Yeah, he's not the type that goes back on his word."

"So, how.. how could I prove that... I'm better than him? I.. don't feel... confident enough to be.. better than him, though."

"But I believe you. You'll beat him for me, right?"

"Uhm... If.. it's you, then.. I will." Rozkarl said embarrassedly, making Nishery stick herself more closely to his arm.

As the two still remain in that romantic position and Nishery was about to fall asleep, the door suddenly opened as Hero enters.

Rozkarl was surprised and almost pushed Nishery away from him, but Nishery just tighten her grip around his arm.

Hero, seeing such a sweet position he had been dying to do as well, was infuriated and looked at Rozkarl even more frightening.

"You! How.. how could you do that to her?!" Hero said angrily as he was about to pounce at Rozkarl but was stopped by Nishery.

"Brother, stop! So what if we're in that position? We're already together, so what's wrong about that?!"

"Uhm.. Hero.. I.. I really like her, so don't.. be angry.. at me." 

"Shut up! I never said you could talk to me?! How dare you act like that in front of me?! If.. if not for my sister.. I.. I would have kill..." Hero was having trouble controlling his anger and was about to punch Rozkarl again when Nishery butt in.

"And why are you even here, brother?! To bother us?! Please, stop it already. You're getting annoying now!"

Nishery was getting hopeless, and the romantic atmosphere earlier that she tried to build was destroyed in an instant.

Hero, being able to enter the room again after being sent away, sat beside Rozkarl to prevent the two from being close, and look provokingly at the latter.

"Uhm.. Her-o, so.. what do you... want me to do to prove myself that I'm... better than you?" 

"Hmmph.. I will reluctantly give up and approved you, once you beat me at sports." Hero said grinningly, as he was confident about sports, especially table tennis.

"Brother, you're being unfair!"

"Don't worry about it, Nishery. I'll do my best, so Hero can accept me." 

"Hmmp.. don't get too cocky, damn you!" 

"Hero.. wh- when.. will we have a challenge?"

"Now! Let's go to the sports complex. I'll definitely beat you up!"

"Now? O..okay." Rozkarl was a bit reluctant but agreed as well since this is his chance to make Hero not hate him anymore.

"I'll come as well."

"Why? You don't need to come." 

"No way. I don't even know what you might do to him!"

"Nishery, I'll be fine. Trust me, okay."

"But still, I want to go as well!"

"Okay, fine." Hero still gives up in the end.

Hero then leaves the room in a gloomy mood and leaves the two.

After a few moments, the three met up downstairs and were ready to leave.

"Hey, Hero, Nishery, Rozkarl, where will the three of you go?" Jack, who was reading the newspaper on the couch, asked as he saw the three in sporty outfits.

"We'll just go outside, dad."

"Where? Will you go outside to have fun?" Shane, who was still busy in the kitchen, asked.

"Yeah, mom." 

"Really? Can we come as well?" 

"No. It's just for the three of us, so just go on your own, mom."

"Oh, Hero, don't be like that. You only come home too seldom, and we didn't even have the chance to get a family bonding, so won't this day make the right time for us to have the family bonding?" Jack said, as he also wants to go outside since he seldom has the time to relax and have fun outside the office and house.

"Your dad was right, son."

"Uhm.. no way! This is not the right time! We can do that another day, just not today, okay, mom, dad?" 

"Brother, I think mom and dad were right. Let's just let them go with us. The more, the merrier." Nishery said as she would feel a bit at ease if her parents would come as well.

"Oh, Nishery, please, don't do this, okay. They can't come with us." 

"Oh, son, don't be so heartless, okay?" 

Hero, who's being ganged up, has no choice but to give in in the end and let his parents come as well, totally destroying all his plans.

The family of Dela Cruz, with Rozkarl, leave the house together.

"Well, he and I will go in my own car." Nishery said as he pulled Rozkarl, who's being surprised.

"You.. have your own car?" 

"Yeah. I fooled my father to buy it a long time ago, and I didn't think I finally can ride it, and with you." 

"No! We will just use my own car!" Hero was totally opposing and stopped Nishery and Rozkarl.

"Don't be like that, Hero. Let them use her own car." Jack stop Hero and felt hopeless seeing his son act like this.

"Hero, they're already old enough to be alone. Let them have their own time." 

"And that's more the reason why they can't ride another car! They will get too close to each other and I can't let that happen!"

"Ah, Hero! Just wake up already, okay! She's your sister!"

"Brother, you're getting scary, now, you know that?" 

"Why do I look like I'm the bad person?! Then.. uhm.. she can't drive the car, can she?" Hero, seeing that he can't stop the two from riding another car, think of a possible solution to stop them.

"Well, now that you said it, I still didn't teach her how to drive. So, that's why you oppose Nishery, I see. Well, it seems you two can't ride that car being alone together." Jack said with a meaningful smile, making Rozkarl bow his head.

"Uhm.. I.. I can drive." Rozkarl, weakly said, afraid of angering Hero.

Jack and Shane can't help but look at each other with a smirk on their face, making Nishery and Rozkarl shy while Hero was angry.

"Oh, looks like you still want to be with my daughter after all." 

Rozkarl and Nishery then walk towards the magnificent red car before riding it together.

"Damn it!" 

"Hero... don't act like that."
