Chapter 83: Celestial punishment

The ship glided through the water as a huge mangrove forest towered into the sky on the horizon. this was the sea drake that had finally made it to sabaody after being built a few years ago by bob the builder. alastair stood at the helm with an excited smile at finally making it to such an important place in this world. the ship dock on district thirteen on purpose as alastair knew that he could get a proper coating on his ship there. no one seemed to notice however that the clouds above the archipelago grew thicker and darker with faint rumblings.

This was caused by alastair on purpose so that on the off chance he comes across a walking pile of trash he can erase it without consequence. this sounds odd at first glance but anyone really familiar with one piece know what this meant. alastairs wives noticed the magic weaved high above them but shrugged it off as one of alastairs whims. there was only a single other person aware of the fact that this weather was unnatural but didn't know what to make of it. this person wore a green hood that covered a tattooed face and black hair.

Finding someone to coat the ship wasn't that difficult once alastair stopped by shaky's ripoff bar where he got a recommendation from rayleigh. the man was amazed at the progress alastair had made with his haki but not surprised since he had personally seen alastairs talent with it. the group had to wait three days for the ships coating to be finished during which they played tourist using the bubble bikes as well as trying the local delicacies. spider managed to get his hands on a wide variety of rare spices and seasonings with his share of the loot in the treasure vault.

The citizens of the archipelago noticed the unnatural weather since it remained overhead for the entire time the group was here. on the final day when the group was making their way to the ship to depart alastairs fears were realized as they came across a celestial noble. this noble looked through the crowds but when his gaze landed on the trio of alastairs wives alastair wasted no time targeting him with the magic overhead. before the noble could even speak a bright flash of light fell from the sky followed by a deafening crash.

When everyone recovered from the sudden lightning strike they all grew pale since all that remained of the noble was a scorched black mark on the ground. chaos erupted as the crowd which had several pirates in it fled in all directions in fear. an act that would result in mass casualties had occurred , a celestial dragon was killed! attacking a noble was bad enough but someone went even further and murdered one. the world governments response was to send out four whole fleets along with all of the four admirals for the largest buster call in history.

Alastairs groups got away without any problems thanks to the ship being fully coated already. however the entire island of district thirteen was sunk by the navy erasing it entirely yet no one knew who had caused this nightmare. from the witness's description of the events the noble had apparently seen something in the crowd before immediately getting struck by lightning like he had offended the heavens drawing celestial punishment upon himself. the world government knew that whatever that noble had seen was the cause but simply couldn't get details of exactly what that was, forcing the official paper to say it was still under investigation.

Meanwhile alastairs group was sailing under the surface of the sea towards fishman island with little care for the mess they left behind. marina was in her true form swimming alongside the ship in a scene that would terrify anyone who saw it as there were dozens of seakings swimming with her. the seakings went their own ways once they started to get closer to fishman island but a couple of the more care free fish men had seen this scene of a mermaid swimming next to a ship with a horde of seakings.
