Chapter 84: Commotion at the gate

These fish men all sought out the king to warn him of such a dangerous group of people alarming the entirety of fishman island. alastair was surprised to meet a literal army of merfolk and fish men when he reached to gate leading to fishman island. dashing out of the air bubble around the ship alastair darted through the water rapidly approaching the army which made them nervous. alastair stopped about twenty yards from the army "something i can help you folks with?" he asked casually. the order of the army collapsed as everyone there heard a human speak clearly underwater without any problems.

The entire army was in a state of disbelief at the lack of care this human showed despite doing something thought impossible. "SILENCE!" a loud male voice commanded causing the army to quiet down and look at the source. a huge red haired merman many times larger than a normal merman swims through the water as the members of the army separate to allow him through. "how do you not drown jamon?" the merman asked curiously. alastair shook his head "it's best if you don't know , though if it helps only me and my wives can do it." he said honestly.

"I see jamon , and what of the many seakings you were seen with jamon?" the red hair merman who alastair knew as neptune asked. alastair turned back to the ship waiting a good distance away "marina , neptune wants to talk to you!" he shout calmly. neptune frowned when he heard his name since he hadn't introduced himself yet. marina swam over from the ship in her mermaid form and neptune felt the aura of nobility rolling off of her in waves. alastair whistled at her with a grin as she blushes and punches him lightly in the shoulder before calling him a flirt.

Alastair shrugged "i'm married not dead." he said shamelessly. neptune clears his throat to get the twos attention which worked as they both looked at him awkwardly. "as much as i am happy to see a human and a mermaid so obviously in love with each other i would like to get back to the topic at hand jamon." he said calmly. alastair filled marina in on what neptune was talking about and she giggled at how funny she found it. marina then explained that it was part of her abilities but also informed neptune that alastair was far from human.

Neptune looked skeptical at this so alastair changed into his dragon form sending shivers down the spines of the entire army including neptune. "ah , right that reminds me for whatever reason but i'm sure whitebeard is expecting." alastair said calmly. neptune's face became stern "are you enemies of whitebeard?" he asked seriously. alastair laughed confusing neptune "if we were enemies we wouldn't have healed the man much less given him some of our best booze." alastair said honestly with a huge grin at the expression neptune made when he said this.

"I must apologize for the terrible greeting you benefactors of whitebeard have received." neptune said before bowing his head in sincerity. alastair waved it off as no big deal and wanted to know if they could come in the city to look for whitebeard. neptune had no problems with this but hoped that they didn't summon any seakings while they were here which they agreed to. the group entered fishman island without any trouble as the army dispersed and neptune went back to his palace to spend time with his young daughter who was just learning how to swim freely.

Whitebeards crew were in one of the dry areas of fishman island that had been prepared just for them away from the rest of the citizens of fishman island. pirates didn't like following unspoken or even spoken rules however and more often then not mingled with the mermaids specifically. this didn't usually bring any results but there were one or two half human bastards running about. whitebeard was playing with a handful of children himself with a wide smile on his face proving alastairs choice as a correct one once again.
