A soothing, angelic, melodic voice, singing in the train. Her feet were swinging in delight, as we’re on our way to the Zoological Park in our prefecture. I’m left alone on taking care of Asuka because Aunt Ayaka has her own plan and left me with Asuka, bringing along Nee-san with her. As for Naoki, she and her parents went somewhere, perhaps a family bonding of some sort. Lastly, Yuki, after giving me my phone earlier in the morning she went to her grandfather.

Basically, it’s only Asuka and me who are going to the zoo. I was left with my own accord to take care of Asuka. Anyway, Asuka is sitting on my lap as usual singing the cat song. Although it may be bothering the other passengers on the train, they didn’t get bothered by it instead they’re watching the little Asuka with amusement on their faces. Since it’s the weekend, there are only a few people riding the train at this hour, as to why we easily got a vacant seat in here.

Not only because of her adorable personality but also because of her appearance, since Asuka took her appearance from her mother who’s an incredible beauty despite her age, wearing a jean jumpsuit overall carrying a cute bag with her hair tied in a twintails-style matching it with her bright personality.

In addition, I’m the one who’s taking care of her which meant... We're too eye-catching. I’m currently wearing a more casual shirt that Yuki and Naoki bought me the other day, pairing it with slim jeans, and wore the wristwatch from yesterday.

We garnered a ton of attention from other people nearby. Even on the way here, some women approached me which is honestly bothering me. I’m wearing plain clothes, but I still stood out. Plus, I need to be extra careful from today onwards. However, I need to change my priority to this child; I can’t let my eyes leave her for a second. It’s making me nervous. After buying the tickets, we went inside the entrance of the zoo park. I’m quite surprised that there are only a number of people visiting the zoo. I thought there’ll be more people since it’s the weekend. Perhaps because the school year just started. But still, it’s still quite surprising.

When was the last time I visited the zoo? It’s been a long time...

Suddenly, the child in my arms got frisky and wanted me to put her on the ground. I complied, but I held his hand and said. “No matter what, don’t leave my side while in here, okay?”

There are some families in here, having some quality time with each other. And, the parents are looking at me with warm gazes.

We went around the zoo, holding hands, but after a few walks we ended up in a glassy cage where a lion could be seen wandering around it. Upon seeing that, Asuka’s eyes twinkled with excitement, and started shouting.

“Neko! Neko! Neko! Neko! Nii, look Neko!”

Asuka immediately went to the glass touching it and exclaiming, started jumping up and down, for a while instead of looking at the cage, people around us watched the adorable Asuka. I went closer to take a closer look at the ‘Neko’ lion. Well, they’re just big cats...

“Nii, Nii...” tugging at my pants

“Hm, yes?”

“Neko’s are big.”

“Yes, they sure do.” Stroking her hair.

We then started visiting other animals. What’s bothering me, Asuka kept calling the bear, pandas, and even the gorillas—’Neko’s’. Every single one of them. She would shout the name cutely while pointing to that animal. I started doubting if she’s deliberately thought that those were all cats or something. Because she knew some animals, like the bird or penguin. But, other than that, she kept calling them ‘Neko’. It’s worrisome.

After a while, Asuka finally got tired, or probably just her feet hurting because she’s still frisky even in my arms, pointing to various animals as we walk around. For quite some time, she finally felt hungry from all the energy she had spent earlier. We went to a simple food stall, ordering whatever we could get interested in. Well, on these kinds of trips it would be often have packed lunches since the food here is expensive. I only thought about those just now.

As we’re eating, I noticed some familiar faces near me, a girl and a boy who seem to be on a date, both of them are holding hands. They’re both senpais in our clubroom. Yep, it was Kanemoto-senpai and Maeda-senpai being lovey-dovey with each other besides our table.

Upon seeing them, I called them out unconsciously. “Kanemoto-senpai? Maeda-senpai?”

When they heard my voice, the two glanced at me exclaimed in shock. That it made Maeda-senpai spit all the food in her mouth to Kanemoto-senpai’s face. The two immediately released their hands. Maeda-senpai’s trembling mouth started speaking.

He even called Maeda-senpai by her first name, which totally confirmed their relationship.

“I-I...” Maeda-senpai stumbled on her own words, as her face was beet-red.

Upon realizing her reaction, a thought emerged in my head. “Are you two by chance... Hiding your relationship against Oishi-senpai?”

Maeda-senpai kept her mouth shut and let Kanemoto-senpai do all the talking to me. “Evidently, yes… As you can see, Fumiko and I are dating...”

“Since when?”

“Last year, we’ve been together with each other ever since. We haven’t told a single soul about our relationship with each other. That’s why, I would really appreciate Okita-kun not tell anyone about, please.”

“I don’t really pry to other people’s life nor do I tell other people about it, so rest assured. It only took me by surprise because in the clubroom you two looked like you have knives on each other’s throat, at how verbally you insult each other.”
