Chapter 126: Chapter 124: Naoki’s Old Classmate

"Are you really sure about this? I don't really want to deal with them, Tatsuya." Naoki whispered to me because we're on public transportation train on our way to Tokyo. When I pick Naoki from her home, she's becoming antsy as times pass by.

"Why are you so nervous about this? They're just your old classmates. If you're scared of meeting them, I'm here."

"Okay..."

I stroke her head gently. "There we go."

Because of that simple interaction, I could feel the warm gazes of other girls and commuters who are on the same train as us. Well, as usual, we're the center of attraction for other people.

The train went for a while before stopping.

[The next station is...]

While on the trip, Naoki fell asleep in my arms.

"Naoki, Naoki."

"Mmm..."

She wakes up slowly and rubs her eyes before we head out of the station. Afterward, we're looking at the invitation message that states that it is somewhere around Naoki's old school, so we went there. I just followed Naoki throughout that because I have no clue where I am right now. She knows this place more than I do.

However, we came across a group of people dress fashionably which is completely different from what Naoki and I are wearing. I'm just wearing a simple hoodie, jeans, and shoes, nothing more. Naoki was dressed the same as I am and wore one of my hoodies. Because for some reason, she wanted to borrow one. Obviously, it's too big for her, but it suits her. Observing them, I feel out of place because of our current attire.

While walking towards them, one person notices Naoki and waves her hand to us.

"Ikeda~!"

Soon after, all of them shift their gazes toward both of us. One guy specifically looks happy as he turns around, but that was only for a matter of seconds because as soon he notices my arms around Naoki's shoulder; he frowns upon seeing it. I know what he's feeling right now. I would also be pissed if the girl you admire is around some unknown dude. "Ah, he's the guy."

The girl who was called Naoki went straight to us with another girl wearing a cap.

"Ikeda~ Long no time no see~"

"Yeah, I haven't seen you for a long time, Ikeda. We're heartbroken when we didn't see you at the entrance ceremony. We didn't know that you went to Chiba." The girl with a cap said.

"Ah... Sorry, it's just some circumstance." Naoki rubs the back of her awkwardly.

"You went to Chiba because of this guy, right? You're the childhood friend right?" said the girl with the cap.

"Yeah, I'm Okita Tatsuya. Nice to meet you." I extend my hands to her, and she shakes my hand with a smile on her face.

Then I continue. "Thank you for taking care of Naoki. She told me a lot about you guys, and how you helped her before. I can't thank you enough for what you have done to her." I bow my entire upper body to show my gratitude for what they did.

"Ah, no no, no need for that. We didn't really do anything."

"Yeah, yeah. Please, stop bowing to us."

I lift my head and smile a little at them.

"You're finally together with him, Ikeda. I'm quite envious that you found someone~ What's more, he's extremely handsome! You guys even are wearing a matching outfit! I'm so envious!"

"Sora, stop that will you. You're embarrassing yourself... But she's kind of right. You didn't really specify how he look nor how he acts, but you always tell us he's kind. Now taking a closer look at it, you could even be a celebrity. Are you a Japanese?"

"My mother is half-Japanese."

"Oooh, now that makes sense. Well then, we're all here so let's go."

Then we introduces ourselves, the name of the two girls in front of were Itsuki Sora and Akamine Chie. The friendly girl with a cap was Itsuki Sora, and the one with a calm aura was Akamine Chie. They're the girls that Naoki mentioned to me before, the ones with a love triangle with the main person of the circle, Kimura Michi. The man who's kind of similar to Nagasawa, but more a dense person. He's the one with an average-looking appearance, but the aura around him was something else.

We follow the two girls and head to the group of people. Naoki's hand that I was holding was trembling and getting cold, she's getting anxious. So, I squeeze her hand to ease her that everything's going to be fine. Upon meeting Naoki's old classmates, we got bombarded by a series of questions about our relationship mostly by the females, while the males on the other hand are looking sad.

Yeah, she has a lot more admirers than I thought. I would say, it's a privilege to have a girlfriend with a lot of admirers. It fills my heart with superiority, bwahaha.

We went to a restaurant with a few people. When we got inside, Naoki and I got separated because she got dragged by her two classmates and went to a table with only females around it. So naturally, I went with the other guys.

And because of that, I feel out of place and the atmosphere between us all is so awkward that I could feel something dangerous was about to happen. Then one guy breaks the awkward atmosphere by asking me a question.

"Your name is Tatsuya, right?"

"Yeah. Yours?"

"I'm Shin one of Ikeda's classmates, I'm friends with the two girls from earlier."

"Oh, nice to meet you."

"Ikeda finally met her one, huh? You're the reason why the majority of the males in this table are rejected by her. Hahahaha..."

"Oi, Shin, stop laughing. You're digging your own grave here."

Then one handsome guy spoke, smacking the head of Shin. He's correct. After saying that, almost all the people at this table, glared at him earlier upon hearing his remarks about Naoki rejecting them. But despite that, he can't stop laughing which only made his situation worse.

"Hahaha... Sorry, sorry, I just can't help myself to bring that up, but don't you also find that funny Kaito, Kimura?"

"Not at all. You're just adding more fuel in the fire by saying those words."

"..." When it was Kimura's turn to respond, he stays silent.

Upon seeing his reaction, the two handsome smile wryly and try to cheer him up. Observing them, I can confirm that this two are the two guys who have a one-sided love toward the two earlier. I must say, I kind of feel bad for the two, but kind of piss because why are they not doing anything despite having a good-looking appearance.

Afterward, the tense atmosphere vanished and I took the initiative to converse with them, and they seemingly doesn't have any problem with it, especially Kaito and Shin. They're friendly and quite fun people to be friends with.

We converse for a little bit and started ordering our food. Despite hearing Shin's remarks earlier, the other guys don't seem to be bothered by me being Naoki's boyfriend. But instead, they started joking and reminiscing about the past where they got rejected by her, giving me their blessings.

However, during all of that, Kimura stayed silent without uttering a single word but smiles at me whenever I glance at him.

He must've been really hurt.

While we're waiting for the order, I felt a tap on my shoulder and saw Naoki smiling at me. The complexion she had earlier was gone, it looks like she got comfortable around them without any worry.

"Yes?"

"Yuki texted you."

"Really? Thank you."

"Yeah, she's been texting me non-stop because you wouldn't respond." Naoki pouts to me, which I unconsciously kiss her on the lips. Because of that, she stops pouting and went back to the other table with a flustered face. Seeing that sight of her, I chuckle. After my little teasing, I glance over our table and saw the sight of others, gawking at me.

"Wow, I haven't seen Ikeda-san acting that way."

"That must be the power of love, ugh, it's too powerful."

"Yeah... Just watching that sight, pains me. I can't handle it."

After a few remarks, Shin and Kaito butts in.

"Geez, that's probably the rarest expression I've ever seen on Ikeda."

"Yeah... I can't believe it. Even though I'm not really into her, I got struck by her cuteness. Damn, that's powerful."

"Huh? Naoki has always been like that." I confusingly said to them.

All of them look at me dumbfoundedly. Then in the silent corner, there's Kimura who's also thunderstruck by what just happened.
