Fuyuki, Japan,

Edelfelt Mansion,

"Raikou!" Roman called for his servant, finishing up his breakfast and fixing his suit. He had quite a bit to do today so they had to get going soon.

"Yes?" The Berserker Class servant manifested as soon as her name left his mouth, she'd been paying attention to him from the start, "Ara.... Your suit looks nice on you." She praised with a hand on her cheek.

"You look...nice too?" Roman looked the servant up and down, she was in her usual battle garments and he had no real problem with them with how they stuck to her body, the Magician wasn't one to turn down a pleasant sight.

"Mhm.." Raikou closed her eyes, feeling smug about herself, "It feels as if you're more relaxed today." She smiled cheerfully at her Master, his praise was enough to make the Berserker jovial, "What do you need mo-..me to do?"

"Go check on Caster downstairs, we need to be off soon."

Raikou saluted dutifully before disappearing, was this Caster going to be a problem for her?

"I've noticed an abnormal presence of the Church in the city." Luviagelita voiced out her idle thoughts, wiping her mouth with a tissue, calmly and gracefully. The state of the relationship between Magi and the Church was no secret, they didn't like each other much and she wasn't any different in that.. Those people were weird.

"Well I did bring down a star here so...." Roman shrugged, reaching for his cane, "I suppose I do need to face the music for that?" He questioned no one in particular, standing up with slight difficulty.

"You...what?" Luviagelita looked at her fiance in disbelief, had she heard that right?

"It must be shocking news to someone who sits atop a pedestal." Roman spoke sarcastically, turning to leave the dining hall, "Sakura, good luck with your day."

"Waver, nobody died. You can be awed by the explosion but get the fuck over it." Couldn't people learn from him some? He'd yeeted a star and was completely chill about it.. He also had people he considered friends think of him as a monster but was he depressed?

The purple haired girl looked at him for a moment before giving a small nod, even if her eyes were hollow, a small barely noticeable smile formed on her face, this was nice.

"Can you, of all people, really say that to me?" Luviagelita placed a hand over her mouth, her tone equally or perhaps more sarcastic than his.

"Why of course I can." Roman smiled in an annoying manner, raising his cane a little bit, "You're not blind now are you? I walk with a stick." Not that he actually considered this to be unfair anymore, what he got in exchange was more than sufficient.

"I suppose so." The blonde magus accepted her loss with dignity, standing up to follow him right after, "But still, a star? Are you actually telling the truth?"

"It's actually quite simple if you know the science behind it." Roman answered as he walked, no longer interested in remaining here. They needed to do something about the rogue servants that were summoned before things got hectic... Well, more hectic than they already were. Church Executioners were actively brainfucking the people of Fuyuki at the moment.

"...Then all of this is indeed a mask.." Luviagelita finally had her confirmation... He'd been playing the masses like fools.... The Edelfelt couldn't help but be awed at that, even she couldn't pull off something like it. She admired him for it because she did know just how elaborate his 'playing around' was.

"I see no point in keeping it a secret anymore... Still, how come you knew?" Roman asked rhetorically, magi were all geniuses in their own rights, given appropriate information they could easily piece things together.

"The circuit quality for one."

"Hmm, checks out." That was information the masses weren't exactly privy to, it did however make sense for the Edelfelt to know, with how close they were to the Trambelio.

"That 'gas leak' that wiped out a part of the city was you?" Luviagelita spoke with wide eyes, amazed by his prowess, her grandmother pushing for this marriage didn't seem like a dumb move anymore.

"Hahaha." Roman laughed at her words, "Gas leaks are bloody overrated. It's actually hilarious now." A star fell from the sky and blew a district the size of several, gas leak. The Magician was willing to bet that if Australia somehow magically disappeared in an explosion, it would be something like 'unfortunate series of gas leaks'.

"They do use that excuse far too much." Luviagelita nodded in agreement, it was like everything that went wrong was somehow caused by gas leaks.

"I don't think I like this change in attitude..." Roman mused as he walked through the corridors of the mansion, the last time they talked, she wasn't willing to even converse with him.

"I was a fool." Luviagelita didn't change her attitude for his prowess, she could care less, she changed her attitude because she realised she was being a bitch.

"A blind bitch."

Yes, a blind bitch... wait a second.... wh- "How did you..."

"I like to think I'm good at reading people's expressions."

Luviagelita huffed, slightly annoyed by his truthful words, the 'blind' part was there because this was something she could have seen if she didn't judge the book by it's cover, "For one lauded as a genius, I'm far too inexperienced."

"Leave it be, you're 10 or something." Roman didn't hold much against the kid... Still, magus kids were weird as all hell... She was supposed to be like 10 or 9 but talked like a fully grown adult.... The naivety of a child did leak on occasion though, like essentially their whole relationship up to this point....

Roman did however not agree with this marriage at all, the age difference was too much even for him.. Thankfully, he had ways to annul it now.

"I suppose so..." Luviagelita Edelfelt followed her fiance with a lowered gaze.

"Oh my, oh my. Consider me shocked." Roman dramatically placed a hand over his chest, sneering at the sight before him.

The doorbell had rung a few moments ago and he answered it since he was the one closest to it that moment... The one that had rung it though, now that was someone Roman half expected to stay the fuck away from him.

"Do pardon the bland welcome, I'm not quite used to greeting people that have shot at me several times with, and I say again, WITH the intent to kill." The amused smile etched across Roman's face spoke volumes about his thoughts; he never would have expected Kiritsugu to show up at his door.

"Is Irisviel not with you?" He pushed Kiritsugu aside using his cane and peered outside, "Well.... who the hell are you?" He stared at the Magus Killer's companion, a green haired oriental woman in a black suit matching Kiritsugu's, her expression was a dead serious one as she stared up at him.

"This.... is Maiya." Kiritsugu answered after a small pause, he was so done with dealing with people like Roman.... It was like God took all the things that he didn't like and put them in human form.

"Herrlich, it appears the Magus Killer has been engaging in a bit of a uhmmm, what do they call it?" He looked up, a hand on his chin, "Ah yes, a scandalous affair..."

"Good on you." Roman patted Kiritsugu's shoulder and just as the Magus Killer was about to sigh, he felt the Magician's grip increase in force and the next thing he knew, he'd been pushed down to his knees, "How bloody dare you?"

"....." Kiritsugu didn't exactly have a way of defending himself here, but he didn't need to. A gun was clocked and the next moment, Roman felt the cold barrel of a glock against his cheek.

"Oh my.. Feisty are we?" He looked at the green haired woman pleasantly surprised, his eyes glinting in slight excitement, "Go on then, tu es."

"...I suggest you not 'do it' unless you have a death wish."

Thea's monotone voice broke the deadlock, her hand up against Maiya's back. Homunculus weren't exactly weak and Thea, who was optimised to double back as a guard too certainly had more strength than a human woman.

"It's none of your business." Kiritsugu finally spoke, however his words had the wrong effect and Roman's smile froze for a moment.

"...Does she know?"

"...Yes."

"...verdammt." Roman retracted his hand, it wasn't his place to do anything then. Irisviel was this cunt's wife and if she was okay with it, he couldn't outwardly express his distaste for the situation, "We'll talk more about this. Fuck did you come here for?"

"Two servants, I found two servants in the Shinto district... The Executioners are planning to move in on them."

"I guess I have my targets then."

Kiritsugu nodded stoically, he, by no means believed that Roman wasn't dangerous or a threat to the innocent but he understood that Roman was the one who stood the best chance at rectifying the shitty situation... That and he technically hadn't killed all those people Kiritsugu thought he did.

.....He still wanted to put several bullets in Roman's head though, it would be for the greater good for someone so 'chaotic' to stop existing.

"Off with you then."

The door being slammed in his face also reminded him that the man was a complete and utter asshole.

-

"Greetings, Master. I have returned."

Back inside the mansion, a certain pink haired woman with the features of a fox knelt to Roman gracefully, her voice regal and noble,

"Well.... damn.." Roman felt somewhat speechless.

Why?

Well..... Tamamo no Mae had three tails waving about behind her.
