Fuyuki, Japan,
Shinto District,
"Kiritsugu.... I knew you had a hard-on for exploding shit but damn."
Both Artoria and Kagetora raised a hand to their faces in a bid to protect their eyes from the bits of debris that had erupted outwards from the skyscraper... not that it could be called as such after completely collapsing downwards, releasing a wave of dust that went unnoticed due to the dense mist covering the area.
Kiritsugu too stopped running and turned to face the ire of the Magician he'd just tried to murder... He lightly smiled, noticing the massive prana fluctuations all around himself.... Truth was, he didn't really mind dying for his ideals....
The Magus Killer's gaze fell on the unconscious green haired woman in his arms and he sighed... He supposed Maiya didn't deserve to die for his brashness...., "I'd hoped a skyscraper crashing down on you would at least injure you..." He spoke calmly, without any emotion in his voice as he carefully rested Maiya on the ground before eying the golems that had begun to surround him.
Roman's coat flapped in the wind, the cold rain slid down his face wetting his raven hair.... The weather didn't seem to bother the Magician much though, "Oh did you now?"
With one hand on his cane, Roman leaned a bit forward, grinning and pointing a finger at his own head,
"What, pray tell, gave you that retarded idea? It's like you didn't even see what happened with that other Saber.."
"I... should have predicted it I suppose." Kiritsugu stood up to his full height, reaching for something inside his clothes... His tone didn't quite suggest that he'd played all his cards yet and that much, wasn't a bluff at all. Everything was going the way it needed to, even if Maiya's injuries from the golem presence weren't part of the plan.
"Mmmhm....gut one. Makellos! Mind if dumb old me takes a gander at what you planned?" Roman placed a hand on his chin, smiling calmly even as Kiritsugu, for the nth time since the war started, pointed a revolver directly at his forehead.
"..." Kiritsugu remained silent, reaching for his pockets again.
"A falling building meant to harm a barrier you predicted I would have, ja?" Roman Trambelio dramatically placed a hand over his chest, "I commend that conventional and inconclusive attempt on my life…"
"Next, you'll pull out a mystic code made solely to waste prana from the atmosphere." Roman pointed a finger at the now, somewhat surprised, Kiritsugu, "Another amazing attempt based on what you know."
The Magus Killer found himself slightly taken aback, but refused to let it hamper his proceedings and threw down a strangely vibrant piece of metal. As soon as it made contact with the ground, it emitted a brilliant light and rapidly sucked in the magical energy all around, even some of the mist.
....It wasn't quite as amazing a creation as one might think according to Kiritsugu himself. Magical energy in the atmosphere was already sparse and scarce in places away from leylines. Nearly all Mystic Codes used it and what the one he had just thrown down was a flimsy attempt at one that would make any magi spit in disgust.
Where such creations prioritised efficiency, focusing on smaller input for bigger output, all he had to do was make a trashy one that did the exact opposite. Using immense amounts of prana for something as simple as emitting light. The Magus Killer wasn't quite good at conventional magecraft or even Mystic Code creation but in this one special instance, it served to benefit him..
Though... the fact that prana was already scarcely found made Roman only that much more of a threat, Kiritsugu himself had seen him create a star from nothing... The man was a monster... but then again, that much was to be expected of a Magician.
Roman slightly squirmed, smiling even wider, "Mm, my genius terrifies me sometimes..."
Kiritsugu and Artoria both felt that the man was too narcissistic.
"Now then, what made Kiritsugu, of the kill people I love club, come up with such a basic plan?"
Roman tilted his head slightly, putting on a blank expression, "You couldn't possibly have thought I wouldn't notice such a glaring weakness,..... Ja? It is a good plan, deprive me of my abilities and kill me while your servant distracts mine, ...but.... Aren't you underestimating Magi a little bit too much?..." The Magician dramatically placed a hand over his chest, "Nein! It can not be!"
Instead of answering the question, Kiritsugu only fired multiple shots aimed at Roman's head, deeming chit chat unnecessary.
Metal clanged and sliced bullets fell to the ground. In that same moment, Kagetora also smashed apart the Mystic Code before Artoria could even move to stop her.
"My Master, can I kill the idiot?" Kagetora smiled wickedly, putting the hilt of her golden katana near her mouth, he was a stupid man if he just chose to be conventional with Roman of all people.
Kiritsugu, thinking quickly, threw a smoke grenade at Roman and retreated to the unconscious Maiya's side, "....." He couldn't quite come up with words at the moment, this is why him and chaotic people weren't a good match....
Magus were pompous pricks focused solely on one or a few things, so much so that they often ignored that they could be slain by ordinary means that they considered unconventional. But then again, the thought of this happening had indeed crossed his mind... Just, he'd hoped that it didn't because otherwise...., "There's no way..." The Magus Killer admitted he was outmatched, completely.
With Roman and Kagetora, the two individuals only stared down at the smoke coming from the piece of modern technology, "Really?".... Roman deadpanned, "You bloody retard, do you not see the mist?"
Curious, he picked the grenade up and inhaled a bit of smoke before coughing lightly, "Motherf-" What made him think that was a good idea? "Never been much of a smoker sooo meh." The Magician shrugged, completely fine.
"Master, was that truly your plan?" Artoria couldn't help but feel slightly disappointed, was it the Magician's fault? Or was it her own master's fault for not being able to think completely rationally when faced with such an adversary? To be honest, she didn't know.

Kiritsugu didn't meet her gaze, seemingly 'out of options'.
"Ehem.." Roman cleared his throat to bring attention to himself and raised his cane before lightly tapping it against the ground. In an instant, the mist enveloping the Shinto district cleared away, leaving behind only raging winds and heavy rain.... Something felt off about Kiritsugu, Roman didn't quite believe that was all there was to it... Maybe a tra-
"The hubris and arrogance of you magi is always what causes your downfall. Saber, engage Lancer."
Kiritsugu stared into Roman's eyes, calm and collected, gone were his earlier expressions of losing control.. Light exploded from under the ground, erecting a relatively small dome-like barrier just enough to cage Roman inside it.
The Magus Killer lit up a cigarette, puffing out smoke as lance met sword, leaving the ground shaking in the wake of the clash..... He'd had Irisviel help him with the spell that now bound Roman.
"Ooooh..." Roman smiled brightly, much like someone who didn't seem to think they were in danger, "With the prana sapped, I'm left with nothing to use to let me out..." He raised both hands, clapping for the Magus Killer with his ever so annoying smile plastered on his face, "Wonderful. I must admit I... saw this coming a mile away." Roman suddenly deadpanned near the end of his sentence.
"But... my dear Magus Killer....."
Placing a hand on his cane, Roman reached for the barrier 'trapping' him.
"This is quite well made.... You get your wife to help?" He asked casually, inspecting it with mild curiosity in his eyes, "Did you make it yourself? Nahhhh, it's you we're talking about."
".....:" Kiritsugu had to admit that Roman's ability to remain calm... Well as calm as he usually was, in the face of danger wasn't flimsy... It seemed as if he wasn't in danger at all.... The Magus Killer raised his gun, cigarette in the other hand, and emptied his clip. The barrier didn't seem to hinder them at all and in the next moment, the magician's chest was riddled with holes.
Oh of course he knew Roman seemed to be able to regenerate from mortal wounds. That was precisely why he'd filled his gun with his own Origin Bullets, bullets that ruptured the very thing that made a Magus a Magus, their magic circuits.
Roman coughed blood, staggering back, a bloody smile on his face, "Kiritsugu, Kiritsugu, why are you going about this as if I'm a magus?"
The clash around them was drowned out by thunder.
Well, up until Kagetora noticed her injured Master and jabbed her lance into Artoria's chest before ripping it out as she kicked the British King in the stomach, sending her crashing into a building behind.
"Master!" The War God of Echigo manifested her short sword, aiming to cut apart the barrier to aid him.
"What do you mean?" Kiritsugu narrowed his eyes, noticing that Roman shouldn't even have been capable of remaining standing after the sheer amount of bullets inside him. Magician he may be, truly defying logic and conventionality didn't exactly seem to be his forte.
"Du hast es nicht mit einem Magus zu tun.."
The Sixth True Magician sneered, running a hand over his chest to reveal himself completely uninjured.
"Hahaha, I should've brought a camera."
Roman removed a number of bags from inside his clothes, a number of bags filled with a strange red substance.
"Sooooo, what's the plan now?" He asked idly, snapping his fingers before putting his hands together, "Is it to offer me Irisviel? ... That is what you seem to be intent on doing lately.. BUT, I must say no. Unlike you, I refuse to forget the girl is 9... Fucking pedo."
Roman sneered.
Kiritsugu... was completely done with this bullshit... He looked at Bob helplessly and the dragon growled in response.
