Chapter 5: Chapter 4

She looked around and found out that she was still standing in front of that small cave opening, she thought for a while and then started to walk toward the southeast direction. After walking until the sky turns dark, Feng Zhi Jiu takes a rest at a small stone boulder below the huge tree. She sits there while messaging her tired legs and calves.

Feng Zhi Jiu : This forest is so vast. I walked for a whole day and I still can’t find the way out of this forest. I better go inside the space and fill my stomach first.

She then flashes into her space and appears at the bamboo house yard. She breathes in the fresh air and feels her tired body get better. Walking inside the yard, she pauses and looks at her clothes. 

Feng Zhi Jiu : En? Why do my clothes still look clean? The ground I walk in the forest is damp and dirty. But even the shoes are still clean? Hm.. so weird.

She brushed off the clothes issue and went to the orchard and picked up two peaches. She then goes to the kitchen, takes a bamboo cup and scoops up spring water in front of the bamboo house. She drinks the water and suddenly her whole body feels like she just woke up. So fresh and full of energy. Her eyes light up and her face shows a joyful expression.

Feng Zhi Jiu : Is this the spring of life water? It tastes so sweet and my body feels so comfortable after drinking it. All the tiredness is gone.

She happily finishes a whole cup of spring water and then walks to the bamboo house and sits down on the lounge beside the front door. She looks up to the sky and she can see the vast sky full of stars. It looks so beautiful and solemn. The moon hanging in the sky looks so round and big with pale blue color. She sits there and eats her peaches, drinks another cup of spring water and enjoys the magnificent view.

Feng Zhi Jiu : The atmosphere here is so nice. I can live here and never go out forever. Maybe I can finish reading all the books before I go out again? The forest is so huge and it’s too tiring to walk everyday.

She thinks for a while and decides that she will go out of the space only after she finishes reading all the books and mastering all the skills inside this space.

Feng Zhi Jiu : Let’s start then. I better go out only after everything is perfectly mastered. If not, who knows how I will die. My life is hard to come by.

And just like that, she spent more than twenty years inside her space reading all the bamboo scrolls and another fifty years mastering all the skills from the space’s last owner. Unknowingly that there is some Lord already on the brink of madness trying to find his wife.

Inside the space Feng Zhi Jiu finally mastered the last skill the space’s last owner left behind. She put down the weapon she just finished and with the wave of her hand, that weapon joined the countless weapons inside the weapons room. She walks out from the blacksmith room and takes a bath at a hot spring pond. This hot spring pond is the new pond she made for bathing purposes. Even though she dont need bathing, as a former patient she still feels that bathing is a must for a healthy body.

She enjoys her hot bath and then changes into a blue hanfu dress with a blue set of buyao hair accessories. She combed her hair into a simple young maiden hair style. Wear a light blue waist jade pendant with a butterfly motif and a long tassel below the jade. Living inside the space for seventy years, Feng Zhi Jiu found out that her body is like those people cultivating the Dao. She doesn’t need to eat or sleep and she only needs to cultivate and absorb the spiritual qi inside her body.

Another thing she found out is, anything inside this space contains a very dense spiritual qi. Even a stalk of grass can be used to refine high level immortal pills or a stone at the roadside can be used to smelt spiritual weapons or talismans. The air inside this space is also very thick with spiritual qi. Her seventy years cultivating inside the space is more than what normal people can achieve spending thousands of years cultivating outside.

This space contains billions of types of materials. Herbs, gems, metals, anything recorded on the bamboo scrolls and things that didn’t record inside also here in the space. Feng Zhi Jiu only goes out from space and finds herbs or spirit beasts at the Dark Forest and brings them inside the space and lets them grow. Any beast that she brings inside will happily stay inside the space’s vast forest. Whenever she wants to eat some meat, she will go catch a spiritual rabbit or some spiritual chicken. Life inside the space is very enjoyable and peaceful.

Now it’s time to go out and find out about this world. She believes this world is very vast and huge. She spent seventy years and only finished looking around the center and middle area of this Dark Forest. Too bad she never meets any humans at all and only can see some big and small spirit beast. Strange thing is whenever she meets a dangerous spirit beast, those beast will run away after intimidating her. And not long after that, she can feel a very scary aura coming very fast towards her. Without choice, she will always come back inside the space and hide.

After the last time she was almost caught by the owner of that terrifying aura, she never goes out of her space anymore. Until today.

Feng Zhi Jiu : I hope whatever that thing is will leave this Dark Forest now. It’s already been more than sixty years since I last went out. If that terrifying aura’s owner is still here then I don’t have any choice but to confront it. Worst come worst, I can always hide back inside this space.

After making her plans, she braces herself and goes out from her space. Luckily, this time she didn’t feel anything around her. And that aura she is scared of is also not around. She patted her chest and breathed a sigh of relief.

Feng Zhi Jiu : So lucky. I don’t need to live inside my space until I die.

She then walked toward the southeast direction and walked out of the middle area.
