From inside the house, the man who had talked to the guards passed through several rooms in the last corridor. He bumped into one of his guards around the house, he had green clothes and a hat indicating a thief, that scene would typically start a fight. However the The thief apologized hurriedly, and so continued his way to the end of the hall. Andias opened a smile laughing at the situation, but ignored it and went to a room in the same corridor that had the door closed. Underneath it was possible to see a little of the light that escaped, slamming the door, soon after Andias entered, the noise of something falling outside was heard, however, looking back he saw nothing, and from inside the room an adult voice came out.
"How is Andias out there?" He turned around to hear, seeing his boss, a man with brown hair with a few strands of gray, in addition to a clean beard and beautiful purple clothes, revealing a noble who was writing a letter while asking, Andias closed the door entered the room square where there was only the table and two windows with curtains, and after entering he stood in front of the table opening a wide, sharp smile. "All right, master Dorbal, there are no people on the streets and there are only a few hours left for the sun to rise, this night will be quiet, unfortunately without deaths"
As he spoke the door creaked and Dorbal lowered his eyebrows at the man's attitude, but placed a hand on his chin.
"Maybe I was wrong, but many bourgeois may want my post and would do anything to kill me, some letters are not reaching their goals and that worries me. In a few weeks they may find this location, I think it's time to change locations and continue with the research outside hostile territory." The door continued to creak and hearing those words, Andias nodded in agreement. "Next time find a decent place Chief, a place where the doors creak and there are rats is not a good place for a noble, much less for me"
Dorbal would raise an eyebrow after his contractor's sentence, and look at the half-open door, and speak.
"It doesn't creak normally, you must have closed it wrong." He said it in a carefree way, but hearing those words Andias was alerted and thought. "I'm sure I closed that door..."
The chief was startled to see Andias pulling one of his daggers, but his bodyguard calmed him down and asked him to be silent, walking towards the door the calm mood quickly changed to a tense one, the guard felt a cold wind on his back , and as he approached, Andias heard the creak of the door, noticing that, Dorbal pulled a short dagger from under his desk, and wielded it trembling.
Andias raised the dagger ready to attack, and took his hand to the doorknob, a knocking sound was heard and made the man back away from the door, but then he screamed. "Who's there?"
His tone was aggressive and the lights illuminated a body panting and dripping with blood, with the same green robes as before, Andias saw the guard he had found in the hallway, he had a sword stuck in his shoulder and blood spilling all over his face.
"S-sir... We've been invaded..." Andias felt his body freeze for a few moments, until he hurriedly turned towards his boss but as soon as he turned his eyes, he heard a cutting noise and watched his boss with a knife stuck in his chest, the noble looked in disbelief at the dagger that had passed through him, and Andias was unresponsive, until he again felt the cold wind against his back, and turning he saw the open window with the curtains blowing in the wind, and sitting in it was a hooded presence. appearing to be a young man with a dagger in his lowered hand and the other pointed at his boss in throwing position.
My... Chest..." The noble tried to move but his body didn't respond, a yellowish liquid dripped along with the drops of blood, and the wounded and enraged thief screamed.
"DAMN YOU." The thief advanced with his sword towards the window, seeing that the hooded man left the window and threw his other dagger, towards the thief, who with a fright and quick reaction managed to block, causing the dagger to be ricocheted and go up, the man felt something strong grab his shirt and without realizing he was thrown towards the window by the assassin, breaking the glass on the closed side of the window.
Before the hooded man caught his dagger in the air he saw Andias advancing towards him with a dagger with an inward curved blade aimed at his eyes, Andias was fast and the hooded man didn't have time, managing to dodge throwing his face back, the dagger passed barely opening the tip of his hood, for a fraction of a second, Andias saw silver eyes behind the hood, the hooded man balanced himself putting both his hands behind his back and with a kick he went towards the face of Andias, the bodyguard saw a shiny part on the hooded's shoe, realizing it was a blade, forcing him to retreat and during the retreat, he took his opponent's dagger that was in the air, giving space for the hooded man to stand up.
Both faced each other, and with the light of the place it was possible to see that the hooded man had black bands covering his face leaving only his silver eyes visible, Andias wielded both daggers and spoke with a smile on his face.
"A distraction with the door and left one alive to buy time... You from the beginning planned to go through the window... Damn smartass... let's see how you do it unarmed." Andias spoke and looked at his boss from the corner of his eye, seeing that he was still breathing, and hearing that phrase, the hooded man seemed to breathe a little harder, and moving his cloak, he took out another dagger identical to the previous one. And with an even bigger smile, Andias threw the enemy's dagger near his boss, digging into the wall and scaring the man who was still alive.
"You'll have to go get it." Andias assumed a lower stance wielding his dagger, and the hooded one seemed to mock even with the mask, thus placing his dagger at the height of his chin representing that he had accepted the challenge.
