Chapter 568: Infiltration of an Owl

Charles, Jessie, and Marvin got stunned by her words and soon looked at the owl in shock and amazement.

At that moment, the girl child gave the unique golden card to Jessie and started running in the corridor.

"How does that child know we are staying here?" Charles was the first to wake up from the shock and looked suspiciously at that sleeping owl.

At that moment, he suspected that this owl might have the ability to possess someone forcefully and do all of its work without alerting anyone!

A few seconds later, Arayn slowly opened its owl eyes and tilted its head.

"Why are you staring at me?" It grumbled slowly and soon shifted its gaze toward Jessie.

"Give me that card, little girl. I'll go and start playing with the mortals for a while."

Saying so, it flapped its wings and flew toward Jessie at an incredible speed.

Once it approached her hand, it grabbed the Access Card using its claw-like legs and started flying outside through the corridor.

As Arayn disappeared from the hall, they couldn't help but look at each other.

"So, should I also go and start my stealth work?" Sylvia asked.

"You can. But you have to be more careful around Professor. Try not to make eye contact with or get close to him. When everyone gathers to pay the last tribute for Elder Seer at the Graveyard, he will take out that mysterious blue stone and give it to someone." Charles paused as he replicated some of those memories and sent them to Sylvia's mind.

A moment later, a look of astonishment appeared on Sylvia's face.

"These memories look more like reality!" Saying so, she also moved away from the circular table and quietly walked out of the VIP hall.

Now, only Charles, Jessie, and Marvin stood in silence.

After a short silence, Charles looked at the ceiling and spoke solemnly.

"It's not an easy matter to kill a Legendary Rank powerhouse alone. I need to rank up now."

"You mean?" Jessie tilted her head in confusion and asked.

"I've been comprehending my spell models during the past five years non-stop and realized that I've reached a bottleneck. That's the reason I desperately wanted to obtain the potion. Now, my soul had already mutated to Demi-God level and even my wisdom power has reached the legendary realm. All I need to do is to drink the potion and rank up smoothly."

Jessie's eyes widened as she heard those words.

'How is his progression going so steady and fast?' She was stunned inside.

Meanwhile, Charles turned his gaze towards Marvin and spoke.

"Stay here. Once Arayn returns from her mission, tell her to wait here for us. We'll be back in an hour." Saying so, Charles turned towards the wooden door and started walking towards it.

Meanwhile, Jessie followed after Charles, and soon both disappeared from the VIP hall, leaving Marvin alone.

95A Dew Street, Underground District, Miracle City.

At that moment, a strange black owl flew above a particular four-storied mansion building and started circling it from above.

After a few circles, it slowly descended from the sky and tried to get inside but was stopped by an invisible force.

"A xenon array?" Arayn made a cold snort, suddenly turned illusionary, and passed through the defensive array like nothing!

Then, the owl flew towards the mansion terrace and slowly sat on the water tank. After that, the owl closed its eyes, scanned the whole building, and soon noticed a strange energy coming from the second floor.

"The void pillar is on the second floor, huh?" Arayn nodded its head, continued to search for a new target, and soon found one.

That person stood outside a particular room on the second floor and appeared to be guarding it.

The target was a 30-year-old man with long brown hair, a rough-looking face, azure eyes, and a sharp nose. At that moment, he only wore a regular linen shirt and pants and held a long spear.

He was none other than Winston Grey, the gatekeeper!

After Charles massacred most of the divine order members, he became responsible for protecting a particular room inside the mansion.

"Tch! I thought they would at least give me some mission, but why do I have to guard a room?" He couldn't help but grumble inside.

Although he didn't have to stand in the sunlight all day, he was still dissatisfied.

"Oh? You don't like this job?" A seductive female voice echoed in his head, causing his whole body to go stiff.

Before he could understand the situation, sudden darkness appeared out of nowhere, knocking out his consciousness.

A moment later, Arayn opened her eyes, moved her right hand, and took a golden card out of thin air. (A/N: I will call Arayn' Her' instead of 'It.')

Simultaneously, she slowly placed the long spear on the ground and made an illusionary image of Winston.

She grinned widely, turned towards the metal double door, and touched it.

Simultaneously, Winston's body turned illusionary and passed through the defense array enchanted door!

Within seconds, she appeared inside the secret room and quietly looked around.

"Statue of Eternal Dawn Goblin, Statue of the Bizzard Void Dragon, Statue Prime Kobalt, Statue Black Eye, and Statue of a Nightmare Devil... They are borrowing power from different void beings and recharging this pillar continuously. No wonder my pawns didn't notice any anomaly." She muttered while moving towards the Statue of Eternal Dawn Goblin and soon made a sly smile.

"It's been more than 500,000 years since I met you. Let me borrow a bit more of your power, My friend." Saying so, she suddenly moved her finger, drew a strange rune word, and sent it to the Dawn Goblin statue's forehead area.

A moment later, the black statue turned dark reddish and released strange nullifying power.

"Oh? You've already reached the pinnacle of your kind? Good for you!" A trace of sorrow appeared in her tone as she said those words and started walking toward the next statue. After that, she made similar runes and sent them to all the statues.

Once she did that, she slowly shifted her attention toward the magic arrays engraved all over the hall.

"Hmm, this is going to take some time." While speaking, she moved her hand and started writing many rune words in the air before sending them in different directions.

Simultaneously, she used the 'Master Access Card' and got access to the Defensive Array Mechanism.

She stayed in the room for the next 45 minutes while altering the array formations in the hall and finally shifted her gaze toward the black pillar.

"Divine Order Organization is indeed full of surprises. Thankfully, I made some preparation in advance." After looking at the void pillar, she turned around and walked towards the metal double door.

Like before, she suddenly arrived closer to the door, turned illusionary, and soon appeared on the other side.

After that, she picked the long spear from the floor and dismissed the illusion.

Then, she withdrew her consciousness from Winston's body and soon reappeared in the owl's body.

"Well, that ended pretty smoothly." The owl let out a strange hoot and started flapping its wings.

Before long, it ascended towards the sky without minding the defensive array and flew away.
