Since I’m already with Amber and Sapphire, I tell them about Myriad Lovers. If they can each pick one of my skills, that would probably be pretty useful. I tell Citrine too, since she’s with my little body in the dungeon. “You have a skill that gives you an extra body right? Wouldn’t that be the best choice?” Sapphire asks, but Amber says “Let’s go over everything, just to make sure we’re making the right choices. This is for all your spouses right? Then we should see what Onyx wants too, I know where she’s staying with her boyfriend.” It’s decided that I’ll tell them my skills once Onyx gets there, so that I don’t have to tell them twice. I’ll still have to tell Ruby and Citrine separately though.

Citrine is the first one I finish telling my list and she almost immediately says “I would want Genuine. Canton obviously has potions like Arhu had, and I never want to have to go through that again. It’s a major weakness that we can get rid of, even if it means we can’t get that cool extra body.” I was actually thinking she’d pick Double the Fun, but she’s right that not getting controlled is probably more important. I look at the two skills again.

Double the Fun:(Passive)

You now have two bodies with doubled max Stamina. Each body has separate pregnancies.

Genuine: (Passive)

Immune to addictive substances and mind altering effects.

I double check with Citrine that she’s sure about her choice, and when she nods I focus on Myriad Lovers. It shows me a list of my skills, and I choose Genuine. Citrine gets that blank screen look, but so do my other wives. Amber says “I thought we were going to go over it? I can’t argue with the choice, but could we go over everything first?” That’s weird, I thought I did it just for my angel daughter, but I see Sapphire nodding, so it must have picked it for everyone. I tell them what happened and Sapphire says “Ah, so the wording meant you can pick just one skill that all of your spouses get. The way a lot of this system stuff is wording is too vague.”

I tell Citrine that the others got it too, so she says “Well see if it can be changed, if it can we’ll do a vote and go with the skill that gets the most.” I get to Ruby at that time, and she already has the skill too. I tell the others Citrine’s idea for a vote, but check if I can change it first. I focus on it, and hear a chime.

Ding!

*Skill cannot be changed in quick succession*

That’s a bit unfortunate, but I tell everyone what it says. I hear a lot of sighs, but Ruby says “Think about it, if you could switch it quickly, we’d basically have all of your skills, not just one.” I think about it, and it takes a while, but I think I understand what she’s saying. If I could switch it quickly, they could use one skill, then switch and use the next in the same fight. So if I got quick enough at it they could just use all my skills in fights by telling me which they wanted. I tell the others Ruby’s thoughts, and they all nod. Ruby then says “It’s the skill I would have picked for myself anyways, I agree with Citrine that it will probably be the most helpful against Canton.”

“I would have picked it too after Sis’s explanation, I really don’t want to deal with another Arhu situation.” My orange haired wife tells me. Sapphire seems to frown a bit, but sighs and says “Yeah, the double body thing would have been fun though, I guess this was the smart choice.” I nod, agreeing that I wouldn’t want any of them to go through that either, and this way they’re all immune to addictions too. Since we were interrupted by the skill going to everyone, we forgot to go get Onyx, but she shows up a few minutes later while we’re talking.

“Thanks for the skill mom, It didn’t say how I got it, just that it came from you.” My succubus daughter says as she walks into the back yard. I give her a hug with one of my bodies and start telling her all about it. Once I’m done she responds “Aww, I would have wanted your cool shadows. They are kind of kick ass.” she then gives me a kiss on the cheek and adds “But this one is better until we deal with the slavers, so I can always hope we can try out the shadow one later. Love you mom.” I wiggle and say to her “I love you too sweetie, did you come by to talk to Cindy about the prison thing?” She nods, and with that, the decision of what skill to pick is over, not like we could have changed it yet anyways. Probably. I was kind of looking forward to having two Ambers to snuggle.

“You’ll have to come with us to the Hounds then, Opal and Sapphire both look like they’re about to burst.” Cindy tells Onyx, and I almost forgot about it again. Onyx replies “Okay, Lyle is already in the dungeon with his brothers and sister, so I have some free time.” I have to remember that her Lyle isn’t the same as Jessica’s. Maybe I can convince one of them to change their name… or would that be rude? I’ll ask Amber about it later, since she probably won’t laugh at me if it is.

My bodies with Citrine and Ruby go back to what they were doing before, and the pregnant ones go with Sapphire, Onyx and Cindy to the new den of the hounds. That leaves two of my bodies with Amber, and we decide to go to the dungeon. She is really close to getting her Special class, and we’re both excited to see what it ends up being. I technically have two more bodies, but they are still babies, and growing slowly like last time. I’m still able to help Sara a little bit with the other babies that show up at her place from time to time. I guess it makes sense that we aren’t the only ones having babies that need to be watched by someone else.

Opal’s body with Amber

As we enter the dungeon, my other body goes to keep an eye out at the gate. If it’s just two of us in the dungeon, she’ll get experience faster. Maybe. That’s how they told me it works anyways, I guess I hadn’t been paying attention. “Yes my silly wife, that would be a rude thing to ask.” She tells me. I guess they can keep their names. I’ll just have to try harder to remember, maybe I can call them Lyle-son and Lyle-grandson. Would that be confusing because the grandson is the son’s father? I shake my head. I’ll just ignore it for now, all I’m doing is confusing myself more.

“Thanks wife, I’m glad I can ask you stuff. People are weird sometimes.” I tell Amber and she gives me a hug, so I wiggle. As we work our way through the floors, we talk about a few things. I tell her about Ruby adding Penny to their relationship and Amber stops to think… Yup, that’s her thinking face, it’s cute like the rest of her faces. She then tells me to wait so we can talk about something, so I sit on the ground with her. “How would you feel if Ruby decided to marry someone else like Tasha?” My orange haired wife asks me, so I think about it.

I respond “I guess I’d probably feel happy for her, she’s liked Tasha for a really long time.” Amber sighs and asks “You wouldn’t be jealous, or sad that she wouldn’t be married to you anymore?” I shake my head, but then stop and answer “I would miss being able to find her with the arrow, but even if we aren’t married she’s still my Ruby. It’s not like you’re asking how I’d feel if I couldn’t see her anymore right?” Amber shakes her head and says “No of course not, I just figured you might want to keep her as your wife. I guess you don’t need that particular attachment with her…” Amber pauses and fidgets a bit before asking “How would you feel if I married someone else?”

I find myself immediately answering “Sad, maybe angry… probably. Are you going to marry someone else?” I can feel my eyes starting to water, but Amber kisses me quickly and says “No! Of course not… I was just worried you’d be okay without me too.” I rub my eyes and smile. I don’t know why I’d be sad about Amber but not Ruby, but I give her a hug and ask “Is that weird? It feels weird, why do I feel like that when it’s you?” Amber pulls back and wipes her eyes too, but she has a big smile and says “That means we just have a different kind of relationship than you and Ruby. There are different types of romantic feelings, and that’s okay.” I still feel a little upset by the thought of Amber leaving me, but she says she won’t. So it starts to feel better slowly.

“Would Ruby be sad if she knew I’d be okay with her marrying someone else? Am I being a bad wife to my baby?” I ask Amber after a little while of hugging. She laughs and says “I can’t tell you that, it’s a secret. I can say, you won’t be a bad wife if you answer honestly when she asks.” I nod, glad that Ruby probably won’t be upset if she finds out. Hopefully Amber is right, but she’s better with this relationship stuff than me. We soon start fighting our way through the dungeon again, and Amber seems happier than before.

Opal’s bodies with Sapphire, Onyx and Cindy

We just finished giving birth with the pack watching, and we only ended up with 3 female Hound babies. There are about 70 of the regular male hound puppies though, between my 3 bodies and Sapphire. The pack leader expresses that he is happy with his choice of loyalty, but I can’t tell if it’s the amount of puppies or the pig he’s eating. We remembered to bring pigs along with us, and even had a few of my grandbabies help by bringing some too. The den isn’t too far from Opal’s Home, and they were happy to help us.

Cindy is talking to Sapphire about how she’ll be able to follow the pack around for corpses. “I don’t have infinite stamina like Opal, I’m not sure I could keep up.” My friend says. I don’t know how much infinite is, is that how much stamina I have? It is a pretty big number right now because of all my bodies. Even my little baby bodies are contributing to the total. Sapphire responds “It would take a while to just have them bring the corpses to you, and they might get damaged. I remember you telling us about how the condition of the body is important.” I nod too, since I remember her talking about that before we passed out from rabbit sex. We had a lot of time in the dungeon before that, and got to know each other much better.

Onyx chimes in asking “Can’t you two just ride the big one? It sounds like it would be fun.” That does sound like fun, well at least Citrine can fly around my Eidolon body. I don’t think the hound would want me on his back. Sapphire says “That might actually be a good idea. Hey cutie, is it okay if Cindy and I ride on your back as you hunt?” I hear the massive Hound growl, but he’s wagging his tail and it’s an accepting growl, not an angry one. He indicates that he wouldn’t be okay with me though, which is fine, since I was expecting it. Maybe if I had more of those rings that make the wearer lighter. Oh well, I can just run alongside them. Running is fun anyways.

I decide to run one of the three bodies from here over to help Citrine. One more body will increase our production of statues, and I can use it to finally see what rewards I can get from the dungeon egg room. Citrine says it would be weird to have my Eidolon body doing it, but she won’t say why. Well I have enough bodies to spare another one for her, so I will. The statues do look pretty cool now that we are getting a lot of them.
