“This blade is impossible to fix.”

A stern muscular man talked to Violet, as he glazed over the cracked katana through the goggles on his bald head.

Hearing such, Mauve, who is beside Violet, stands up in indignation.

“What do you mean, you can’t fix Big Sister’s sword!? Aren’t you the best blacksmith of our kingdom, who can craft even divine blades?”

“When I said I can’t do it, I can’t do it... Or do I have to personally smash your head open with my hammer and drill it in, Third Brother?”

“Why you...there are still a few procedures left to be done, but I am technically already the king you know, Fourth Brother?”

“And until that “few procedure” is done, you’re still the same dumbass Third Brother, with a sister complex so big they can’t listen to reason, unless through a lobotomy. Don’t think you’re any better than that incompetence father of our just because you replace him, you hopeless siscon.”

“You dare...I am proud to be a siscon for my Big Sister, you-”

“Quiet, both of you.”

Hearing her voice, cold as ice, both of them shut up immediately. Despite already having her title as the sixth princess stripped, her authority and majesty still present so strongly.

After the incident in which Mauve forcefully took over the throne (due to siscon tendency), and forcefully stripped her title away to protect her (due to siscon tendency), Violet is now on the process of packing her remaining belonging still exist within the castle, when they noticed a crack on the sword.

Panicked, Mauve immediately wrapped it up in multiple layers of insulation fabric, before shipping it delicately toward the 4th Prince, who is the head of the Victoris Kingdom’s R&D department, and asking for help.

Looking over the blade with her violet eyes, she then looked directly at the 4th Prince again, and asked with a cool demeanor.

“4th Prince, can you tell me the details? Surely it’s not because it’s beyond your capability?”

“Hmph, of course not. It’s not that I can’t fix the blade, the blade itself doesn’t want to be fixed.”

“…???”

“Judging by that dopey face of the Third Brother, he doesn’t know a thing about this blade at all, does he? I said it many times before, but are you sure he is your twin brother?”

“I can assure you he is. Hence why I have been trying hard to righting him up, with...mixed results so far.”

“Hey!? Not like I’m not trying my best to follow Big Sister’s example, you know!?”

Hearing the brother trying to bark back that unconvincingly, seeing his eyes wavering and his leg shaking, the 4th Prince take a deep audible sigh inward,

“If that was “your best” so far, then this kingdom is already doomed.”

“Don’t worry, I made sure that even in the absolute worst case, this country will still stand strong for a hundred years.”

“So no matter how much he messed up, I would still have leeway of milking this country for all it’s worth before hightailing it huh...great job, former Sixth Sister.”

“It’s just what I have to do, former Fourth Brother.”

“Hey!? Not like I will mess up that badly!?”

“So you don’t even deny it...Anyway, to answer your question, do you know what this blade is?”

Showing the blade toward the twin brother, Mauve confidently answered, showering praise everywhere as light seemingly came down from heaven.

“Of course, it’s our mother’s heirloom blade, which she uses dearly to go through many battles, as I personally saw her slashing through even the toughest enemy to shred with a mighty slash of her blade, which can rend heaven and earth apart! I am sure that the blade itself is made from the finest material, crafted with the highest degree of expertise by her trusty-”

“Fuck no, this is a bargain bin blade, picked out randomly from a random no-name blacksmith at best.”

“...Huh?”

As the light flickering around him, Mauve slowly creaked his head toward him, his body still frozen in the midst of praising the sun.

“Exactly so. Mother used to tell us that she took this blade as a gift, after she helped him promote his shop via false advertisement, as she used this common blade to cut up impossibly hard objects into sculpture to impress the buyer.”

“Huh?? I thought she was joking, and that the blade is actually from a divine blacksmith, famed for creating blades both sublime and deathly, fooling people with its simplicity, and slashing them to pieces before they even find out. I even personally check if the story is true, and find out his name is Horthos, a very famous blacksmith in the north of our kingdom!”

“Oh, is that from him? I do see traces of his work embedded within this blade, clearly of an early work...I can assure you though, back when he made this blade, he was nowhere near as good as he is now.”

“Yeah. I confirmed it later, but later on, inspired by her performance, he worked as hard as he could, remembering as much of her advice as possible while also adding his own experience, to reach where he is now. If he can give it to her again, there is no way he would give that crummy blade to his Master.”

As if lightning struck over his head, he lay down stunned by the revelation, as he scream toward the sky.

“...No Way!? So is it true, that there is nothing special about this blade? That this is just a common blade you can find anywhere?”

“Dumbass, if that was so, I wouldn’t have that hard of a time fixing it. Like hell an ordinary blade has such an overpowering will hidden inside it.”

“???”

“Look at that dopey face again. Does he know anything at all about his own family heirloom?”

“To be fair, after our mother passed away, I have been keeping it by my side this whole time, so he doesn’t have much chance of seeing it.”

“Hey!? No matter how bad I am, there is no way I wouldn’t notice a blade’s will in our mother’s blad-!!!?”

Looking deeply over, just to prove him wrong, he suddenly notices a terrifyingly powerful aura, leaking through the crack of the blade as a pitch black aura, as he falls over in shock. Seeing such, the 4th Prince once again exasperatedly chastised him.

“You only noticed it now? Either the blade has been hiding its intent for that long, or you truly didn’t have eyes…”

“It’s the former, I personally check. It took me a long time before I even noticed the will within this blade, and only when it personally showed itself.”

“Even you takes a long time for it to reveal itself? I’ll be damned, a rare case of Third Brother not being incompetence…”

He then tried to strike his hammer over to the blade, only for the aura itself to stop it, before flinging it back through the layered steel wall behind him, and coming to the other side, frightening the researcher as they scream.

“Either through your mother’s ignorantly absurd talent, her slobberingly great handling of the blade, or her stupidly immaculate maintenance of it, this blade end up with a very unique personality on it own, to said the least. A personality so stupidly prideful, that it wouldn’t allow anyone else to touch it, let alone trying to change it… ‘I would rather die, than to be fixed by anyone else’, I can clearly felt it’s heart saying such.”

“So as I expected…”

It doesn’t allow anyone else, aside from its owner, to fixed it...And considering how it doesn’t even recognize you, only the original owner of it can do so.

“!! Is it true, Big Sister? The blade Mother personally handed to you...it doesn’t recognize you?”

Hearing such, Violet then turned toward him, and look at him in the eyes, with a straight cold face.

“...Tell me truthfully, Mauve. Between me and Mother, who would win in a sword fight?

“...Ku!!”

“Your expression is all the answer you need.”

As he looked down in frustration, Violet calmly looked over the cracked blade, her reflection showing on the body of the blade, still shining proudly and immaculately.

“Even when Mother passed away...Even after 13 years trying to surpass Mother’s talent, I haven’t been able to make it recognize me once, no matter how many trillions upon trillions of time I swing it. Even now, the gap between Mother and I is that of heaven and earth.”

“...This is why I said that it’s impossible to fix this blade, it’s pained me to say. I’m sorry, let me at least make you something that could-”

“No other choice then.”

“...Huh?”

As she swiftly sheathed it back into its purple scabbard, she then turned around, before picking up Mauve with her hand.

“Come on, let us meet her.”

“Ku...Do we have to, Big Sister? Wouldn’t we disturb her, and I haven’t prepared myself…”

“She wouldn’t mind, and you have to prepare yourself a long time ago anyway. Make sure to properly prepare a gift for her, and get going.”

“I already know that, Big Sister!”

As they swiftly move away, the 4th Prince asks them in surprise.

“Wait, where are you going?”

“...Isn’t it obvious?”

“We’re going to meet the original owner of this blade, in the flesh.”
