“Well that was terrifying... what just happened?” A female teacher’s eyes widened because not even she could see how Xiang Ning had struck Zhou Wanfeng down in one move!
The entire audience was equally stunned, though they came back to their senses in a moment, first looking at Xiang Xiaoyu and then quickly back at Xiang Ning. Then, they understood. They had now personally witnessed how Xiang Ning spoiled and indulged his sister to the point of no return, but why had he played Zhou Wanfeng like that? That fight didn’t look like he was acting at all!
“I know, Xiang Ning acted that way so Zhou Wanfeng would put down his guard, then he could knock him out in one strike! Smart!”
“Yeah, that must be it or how else would Zhou Wanfeng lose with his Dragon’s Cry Armor? He must’ve fallen for a trick.”
The crowd could barely make sense of what had happened, since spiritual armor held a special place in their hearts. Even the worst tier one armor cost five hundred thousand dollars, and this was one of the best. It shouldn’t have a problem fending off an early-stage tier two martial artist!
Feng Qi had taken it all in and was currently staring in disbelief and denial. She knew who Zhou Wanfeng was. Furthermore, she understood how a spiritual cultivator in spiritual armor could beat enemies above their rank, let alone peers!
It didn’t matter what anyone else thought, though, but Xiang Xiaoyu was very emotional herself. Xiang Ning returned a loving smile when he saw hers. His smile was so sweet that many girls clutched their chests. They had to admit to themselves that, while Xiang Ning may look disheveled, he was undeniably hot the way he defeated his opponent in one strike just for his sister.
After Xiang Ning became a martial artist, his body had subtly started developing. He used to be a malnourished, average-looking boy who was a little short for his age, but since he had become a martial artist and after the wilderness activity, he not only grew taller but was growing into his features. He now looked much more dignified.
“Xiang Xiaoyu, Senior Xiang Ning treats you well. I don’t want to be your sister-in-law anymore, I just want to be your sister.” Chen Zixin was mesmerized by Xiang Ning’s loving smile.
Xiang Xiaoyu blushed, pinching Chen Zixin’s shoulder and dragging her away.
During this little drama, Zhou Wanfeng had managed to get back on his feet. He was oddly calm, though still unable to accept the reality that he had just been knocked down by Xiang Ning. It must have been a mistake on his part, but he was no idiot. The power in that strike was completely different from Xiang Ning’s previous moves. The bastard has been hiding his true power!
He opened his mouth to speak, but Xiang Ning cut him off. “I’m sorry, I’m not interested in rematches with people I just beat.” Then, Xiang Ning turned to yell at the crowd of students from the special training. “So how long are you weaklings planning to watch from the sidelines? Weren’t you all so bold at the school gates, yelling for a fight before this? Well, now’s your chance!”
Zhou Wanfeng looked at him and everyone thought he would rage, but all he did was remove his armor and said, “You’re strong. I admit defeat.”
Then, he turned and left. He had initially been humiliated and furious, but after receiving a message, he decided to give up. He wasn’t blinded by arrogance. Why would he want to challenge a monster who had killed a tier two beast alone and attained Peak Mastery in a skill? He wasn’t bored enough for that.
The crowd, including Feng Qi and the students from special training, hadn’t expected him to leave. Now they were left to face Xiang Ning without strong backup present.
The world fell silent for a moment; no one dared utter a word. Xiang Ning felt awkward, standing there without receiving a response.
Then the bell rang. It was already six o’clock, which signaled the end of the afternoon classes. He was annoyed, because he should have been home at this hour! Yet, he had to do this because he couldn’t let his dear little sister suffer any longer.
Now he had a moment to vent half his anger... plus he had much more to do—like make dinner for his sister. He’d missed her after half a month and also needed to return to school to collect his prize tonight.
An observant teacher took this moment to speak up. “Xiang Ning, it’s late. Why don’t we call it a day? You’ve just returned from the wilderness, too, you should get some rest.”

He was grateful for the teacher! Taking this opportunity to leave, he hurriedly said, “Alright, I will. Thank you for your concern, Miss.”
Then, he hurried over to Xiang Xiaoyu and looked at Chen Zixin, who had stars in her eyes, “Junior Zixin, thank you for taking such good care of her.”
Eyes sparkling, she replied, “It’s nothing, it’s nothing! We’re great friends, after all. Your sister has suffered much this month.… I’m glad you’re back.”
Xiang Ning’s eyes narrowed when he heard that his sister had suffered, but he smiled and thanked Chen Zixin before hurriedly bringing his sister away. He didn’t even take one look at Feng Qi or his classmates, which was a completely different turn from the arrogant, condescending Xiang Ning they had seen during the fight. They were ignored as if they didn’t exist.
“Wow, he doesn’t take them seriously at all!”
“That’s Senior Xiang Ning for you. Whoever lays a finger on his sister will have a bad day.”
When Xiang Ning left, Feng Qi brought her younger sister away too, then the students looked at each other and dispersed. They had all embarrassed themselves today, and all of them left in sour moods.
…...
The Xiang siblings, soon after exiting the school gates.
“Brother, I’d like to buy some fruits and pay brother Wang Zhe a visit,” Xiang Xiaoyu guiltily said.
Xiang Ning’s brows furrowed. “What happened?” He then realized something odd. With Fatty Wang’s temper, he should have been there when the fight happened today, too.
“It’s all my fault. Today isn’t the first time those people came for me, and brother Wang Zhe has been the one leading me out of school to the bus. Yesterday, some students from the First School came looking for trouble.…”
Xiang Ning understood after hearing her story. Although Fatty Wang didn’t like students from the First School, since he had to protect Xiaoyu, he didn’t want to escalate the situation and tried to lay low. Unfortunately, those people recognized both him and Xiang Xiaoyu.
In the end, Wang Zhe was beaten up. Xiang Xiaoyu was unscathed because he was protecting her.
“I understand now. Don’t worry, this won’t happen again.” Xiang Ning smiled, ruffling her hair.
She nodded. “I’ll go pick out some fruits,” she said, then hurried over to the fruit stall.
The fruit seller enthusiastically welcomed his patrons, but after seeing Xiang Ning, who had just walked over with a stiff smile on his face, the fruit seller’s face froze. Why was that teenager’s glare so terrifying?
Xiang Xiaoyu looked up and chuckled, “Uncle, how much are these apples?”
The fruit seller hurriedly replied, “We’re having a sale today! 20% off!”
