Looking at the lady in the video, Xiang Ning’s mind wandered for a while before he snapped back to reality. He had seen aliens before, like the Shura tribe, but they were a bit ugly. Compared to them, these elf-like aliens were much better.
In the video, the giant incubation pod was situated directly in front of the control panel. The Qiuros within it was the same monster that had attacked him! There was no mistaking it. His guess had been spot on! How could such a large battleship be downed from an external attack? It was clearly an attack originating from within that did it!
Looking at the Qiuros from within the video, he realized that it was much larger than the one he had encountered. A bad feeling came over him. He wasn’t sure if it was the very same individual that had attacked him. For now, he only knew its name.
As the video continued, the people within it were conducting complex experiments.
Looking at the procedures, Xiang Ning grew warier. Whatever they were doing was absolutely impossible for humanity to replicate for now. They would need another hundred years or so before they could begin. And even then, they would need the information and methodology recorded here.
To think that the technology of the aliens surpassed Earth by more than a thousand years. The galaxy was still a dangerous place for humans to live in. If it weren’t for the special location the Earth was situated in, or if Azura and Earth didn’t have sufficient resources, humanity would most likely have gone extinct.
Xiang Ning once again focused back on the present and closely examined the video. He saw that the experiment continued for a long time before the aliens started cheering. It seemed that it was a success. But just as they were celebrating, red lights flashed across the laboratory and sirens blared. Everyone froze in confusion, then panicked. They were initially somewhat calm, but when the sirens had continued for more than ten seconds they started losing their cool.
“Professor! The energy level is exponentially increasing! We’re losing control! Quick, we need to terminate the specimen!!”
“We injected a large amount of venom but it's no use! It won’t die!”
The female scientist walked toward the incubation pod and stared at the sleeping Qiuros. In the next moment, the specimen opened its eyes and met the scientist’s gaze head-on. Before she could even react, the Qiuros had already landed a punch on the incubation pod. Cracks appeared on the pod and the fluid within it started leaking out. Everyone instinctively knew that the next attack would break the pod and free the monster.
“Run! Evacuate the professor!”
“Call security!”
The professor didn’t run away, but instead stood her ground and stared at the Qiuros, almost as if she was admiring it. The specimen threw another punch and the pod finally burst open, fluid splashing everywhere.
One of the scientists saw that the specimen was preparing to attack. He ran and pulled the professor away in the nick of time. It looked like the scientists weren’t pushovers.
Xiang Ning then heard a low voice shouting out orders as the sound of footsteps echoed louder. It sounded like the boots of the security guards. He didn’t even need to see the video and knew that the security guards had already arrived at the lab based on their footsteps.
Bullets started whizzing through the air as the sound of gunfire rang out nonstop.
But the Qiuros wasn’t afraid of the weapons. Even though it was hit many times, Xiang Ning could see that all of them were superficial wounds. The specimen itself was fine.

It dug its claws into the ground and shot toward the security guards. Xiang Ning himself had almost died from that particular attack. The sound of people shouting in fear and pain resonated from the video.… There was no doubt that all of them had been killed.
Xiang Ning sighed. He had originally wanted to check the armory for weapons to kill the monster, but now he felt that would be useless. The video had already demonstrated that. He’d thought the monsters had been captured from another planet to experiment on, but who would have thought that it was a monster that they had created from scratch?
The Qiuros, specimen 03, was a biological weapon grown by the Hairo Empire to be used for war.
The slaughter within the video lasted for minutes before the sound of metal being ripped open was heard. The monster had ripped the metal door apart and the sound of fighting gradually disappeared. It seemed that it was out for blood.
As for why the ship had crashed, that was the most likely reason. The command center was located not far from the lab. The ship had most likely crashed after the monster had killed everyone in the command center.
As for the other locations within the ship, Xiang Ning didn’t know about their situation, nor was there a need to know.
The video was still playing as it had continued recording the now-destroyed lab. He fast-forwarded it and saw nothing noteworthy. It finally ended after the five-hour limit was reached.
He sighed. It looked like there were more secrets on this ship that awaited him. He tried piecing the information he had together and came to the conclusion that the monster he had encountered was most likely its offspring. The original Qiuros had somehow managed to breed and produce offspring for the last 8000 years. As for why there were so few beasts around the area, and their reluctance to approach the ship, it was most likely that the Qiuros had found a way out and killed the surrounding beasts.

He didn’t know if the Qiuros had managed to breed and spread their kind further away, but he was certain that it had allowed them to approach the ship without them knowing. Xiang Ning and the rest were their prey!
The situation had just turned even more dangerous. Should he leave now or forge ahead?
He didn’t know, so he decided to stay in the lab and collect more information. He was hoping to find something he could use, and he also needed Refresh to be available again on the second day before he attempted to leave the place. It was much too dangerous otherwise.
......
Time continued flowing as Nathan and the rest waited anxiously outside.
“It’s been 24 hours. Thirty people have gone in and more than ten of them had perished,” Nathan sighed.
“L… let’s send out the report,” Natalia said.
Nathan nodded and sent out the report to one of the Twelve Prodigies, who would then send the report to Dong Qianyi.
