Chapter 1: the start (pro)

I have died. Now, now, don’t panic. I’ve been isekai’ed. now, as one might expect from a world of differing time and history this world is strange. It’s the fact that I’m not on Europe but in fact in north America. But there are still knights, and kings, and princesses. Let’s start at the beginning. How I got here. I know its cliché, but it’s fun to say.

Jack’s POV

“I’ll go take out the trash,” I said as I walked down the driveway to the garbage bin at the side of the street.

I then noticed a man. He was wearing a ski mask and hold a baseball bat. It was dark outside, but I could see him. I don’t think he could see me. He had just hopped out of a white car with a busted up front end.

The house he was walking towards just so happened to house my good friend and neighbor. She was about my age but had gone through teen pregnancy. That was about five years ago and now she and her kids had a stable life. It looked like he wanted to rob the place. I then called out to him as I placed the bags in the can.

“You better not do anything to that place, or I’ll break your nose!”

He then looked at me. He looked spooked and ran back to his car. Then he got in and drove onto the curb and hit me. I rolled over his car and tumbled behind it. He then drove over me in reverse.

That was my death.
