“Oh, that’s probably why he wants to talk to me. Anyway, we probably should get you some clothes. You should come with us, there is someone else watching us from afar,” said Laetitia.

          “What? I was not told of this! The mighty Kevin Maximus was not told of this; what are they doing?” he asked, shocked.

          “They are peaking at us through the woods. On the other side of the river. They seem to be hiding pretty well. But the thing is, they are using magic to hide the noise they’re making, so I can see them,” stated Laetitia.

          “Ok so, what are we to do?” I asked.

          “What does it look like? We ask them why they are watching us and if they attack we fight back,” as she said that she raised both hands in the air as if praising the sun and a blade made of clear crystal appeared in her hands.

          It was simple. And yet it was the most beautiful sword I had ever seen. It was completely clear. The blade itself had serrations along the edge. But said serrations were more like waves than anything else. It was wide at the base but tapered to a point. It had central fuller that waved like the edge. The handle was not circular, but instead octangular the guard had what looked like sword breaker spikes on the top to catch enemy blades. The pummel was the only thig not clear as it looked to be made of brass.

          It was a hand-and-a-half sword.

          She passed it to Kevin and took it with a gentle hand. And up and down the blade.

          “How did you makes this?” he asked reasonably.

          “I simply took the carbon dioxide in the air and condensed it while removing any impurities. Then I took all the dead skin cells in the air and removed everything that wasn’t zinc or copper and made brass. I then smooched it al together,” she stated as if it were the clearest thing in the world.

          I gawked at her and simply said:

          “That’s not easy for anyone to do. The most anyone can do with magic is start a small fire.”

          “I once froze my father’s toilet when I couldn’t get to mine in time, and he yelled at me. From then on, I have practiced magic to the best of my ability,” she said.

          At that time, we all blankly stared at her she squirmed nervously. Then a group of people ran out of the woods and leveled their swords at us from our side of the river. They were the people that Laetitia noticed beforehand.

          “We are the Grand Inquisition! Prepare to be taken as POWs,” said what looked like the leader.

          They were wearing black and white armor. Said armor looked to be rather light. They were wearing chain mail and caring kite shields.

“Why are you here?” asked Kevin.

          “We heard someone good at magic would arrive here and be followed by the great Kevin the Insane. So, we thought it was worth checking out.”

          Wow, they just explained the whole thing. They seem to be inexperienced judging on their postures.

          “Just kill them. It will be easier to explain if we leave one alive though. I don’t know anything about this so if we get info out of them we can probably find their base and tell the king,” said Laetitia to Kevin.

          “Jesus Christ, your more insane than me kid!”
