Ever since I secured some provision for myself, the life became a bit more interesting. All thanks to the bad people who were saving so much food.

I found a place for myself to settle down in the farthest tunnels, and was stuffing myself with food during the frequent visits to the plundered bandit camp.

It has been one week since I ended up here and I grew from a pipsqueak into a freaking machine of death. I was no longer able to fit into those small holes and tunnels, and instead started openly roaming the tunnels.

I grew so large that I had to stop walking like a human and return to crawling on all fours, or I would be hitting the tunnels’ ceiling every time I step out of the living chamber.

As for the captives – I was barely spending time in the lair, since I was too disgusted by the sight of them being ovomorphed. They already stopped moving and even sobbing, and were just waiting for the inevitable.

After I get myself the eggs, I will have to ‘invite’ a couple of new co-habitants. Even if I am going to be even more of a b*, I came to terms with the fact that without more xenos I myself will die soon enough.

Between the option of dying, but being a ‘good’ monster, I decided to be the bad guy, but alive.

In the beginning of the new week, I creeped out of the inhabited part of the moist tunnels, and climbed out to the dry parts.

It was the time to search for the hosts.

The potential candidates were found very soon. A couple of patrolling bandits were bad enough so as not to feel sorry for ‘impregnating’ them.

I hid in a side tunnel, and waited until they were close.

Since I was now a huge creepy monster, it was impossible not to notice that something was wrong. Perhaps they noticed me getting into the side tunnel, or they were just very observant, but they became alert.

The bandits cautiously continued walking, and when they were near my ambush, something weird happened to me.

I clearly felt that I became smaller, and that I was seeing better.

Since a while the bandits were feeling that something is wrong.

One of them cautiously peeked around a corner with the torch in hand, and he immediately saw that there was something.

There was a girl, around the same age as his daughter was.

“Relax, it’s just a vagrant.” He laughed after his tension was relieved.

Hey, sweety, what are you doing here~?” He took a piece of bread out of a bag, and lured the girl closer.

The girl was standing on her knees, and behaved almost like an animal. Her naked body also suggested that she was not used to humans.

But it did not concern the bandit.

“ ‘Whistle’ Come here, little girl, Uncle has a yummy~!” The girl frowned, but cautiously approached.

The bandit stretched out his hand as far as he could, and gave the girl the bread.

She immediately snatched it, and started eating.

What in the Gods’ name are you doing…? Are you a charity? I thought you had so many children because you loved the process, not the outcome.”

Bite your tongue, Phil! Like it’s a bad deed feeding the poor thing?

Oh, yeah, ‘mommy’? And what are you going to do if she follows you?

Feed and nurture, damn it. Look at her, she’s skin and bones.” All this time the girl was curiously looking at how the bandits bickered, but they both understood that she had absolutely no idea what exactly they talked about.

“ ‘Whistle’ Come here, yes, come closer~! Uncle will feed you some more bread~! Here, here, take this, and this jerky~!

The girl was clearly stupefied by what was going on.

While she was distracted by the food, the bandit picked her up and sat her on his arm.

“Just look at her, she is such a cute creature!” He couldn’t help smiling as he looked at her devouring the food.

You know that she’d be r* by the entire gang, should you take her with us? I ain’t gonna save your a*s.” The other bandit was struggling not to pet the little hamster.

Then… What do you think, how about we keep her here, and look after her?” The other bandit immediately facepalmed.

You’re joking, right?

“Look at this little face. Just look at it!”

No, no, no!” The other bandit turned away and started shaking his head.

Ummya, mya-mya!” The girl started saying something, and that was enough to finish breaking the bandits’ resolve.

Just like this, ‘Nadia’ suddenly got herself a cozy corner in the tunnels.
