Chapter 19: WHITE ZETSU

"You?!" Minato stuttered. His eyes were on those unknown white creatures lying on the ground. He had never seen such disgusting creatures in his life.

As a Hokage, he failed to keep his composure even though he knew about the oncoming threat. However, he couldn't help but get emotional and slightly careless after seeing his newborn baby. It was the happiest moment of his life.

Minato thought the barrier would fend off any outsiders, but he never thought that the enemy might have a way to infiltrate inside by evading all those high-class Ninjas. And that slight carelessness nearly got everyone killed if not for Evans' timely arrival. Moreover, no one sensed or heard anything. There was no fluctuation in the chakra at all.

'So, white Zetsu... The events changed slightly. F*cking worms. Die!' Evans summoned a Susanoo arm. He grabbed those two white Zetsus and squashed them like watermelons. He was expecting an explosion or some kind of resistance, but they melted and became a puddle of white watery substance.

"What are those things?" Minato asked after quickly using the sealing Jutsu on Kushina. Taji and Biwako stumbled back in surprise. Everyone's eyes were fixed on Evans and the white puddle on the ground.

"White Zetsu. That's all you need to know for now..." answered Evans while looking around the room. He was scanning everyone and every corner around him with his Rinnegan. He knows the nasty abilities of those freaking White Zetsus'.

White Zetsu claimed to have the best transformation technique. They can freely alter his form and chakra signature. Doing so allowed them to become or create a completely indistinguishable substitute of another individual, even becoming suited with their tools.

By manipulating the nature of his chakra, the White Zetsu was also able to emulate techniques of which is known to the target. Because White Zetsu was typically weaker than the one he was imitating, he mainly used this technique through his clones to serve as decoys or for infiltration and assassination. Even after suffering tremendous damage or even death, the technique would not cancel until he chose to release it.

Despite not being suited for prolonged battles, White Zetsu showed considerable skill in emulating the personalities and battle tactics of his target. It was because of this characteristic that the entire Allied Ninja Force was forced to be in constant paranoia and sometimes turned on one another. Though with keen analysis, one could exploit his lack of knowledge on certain subjects. Those who could sense negative emotions could also take advantage of his true intentions.

Some of the guard Ninjas tried to move in within Minato and Kushina's radius.

"Don't make unnecessary movements unless you want unnecessary deaths," Evans said with an arrogant expression as he summoned a small violet ball of energy on his fingertip and pointed it at Kushina.

"Don't!!!" Minato walked in front of Kushina. He wanted to subdue the man before him, but there was a weird sense of oppression around him. It was like an invisible force preventing him from making unnecessary movements.

Minato wanted to get his wife and child out, but he knew how Evans disappeared earlier during the meeting. Now he appeared inside the barrier without anyone's notice and took down two unknown enemies in an instant. He knows that Evans wasn't bluffing and any resistance might get his family killed.

"These freaks, you see... They can replicate another Ninja along with their chakra nature and abilities. And there are so many Ninjas around here. We don't know who is real or fake," explained Evans.

Evans knows everything about those Zetsus. That's why he concluded that there was a great possibility that they might be hiding among the Ninjas around him. He wanted to use his Stigma eye to end things fast, but he had already overused it, and pushing the Stigma anymore might start its Crystallization.

Since Evans doesn't know the Ninjas around him or what type of chakra and personality they have. It became slightly difficult for him to identify them with Rinnegan's prowess. He couldn't detect any abnormalities within anyone. However, he noticed dark shadows around three Ninjas on the left and one on Taji.

'I see. Let's have some fun, shall we?' Evans smirked. Since White Zetsu was originally pulled out from the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path, no matter what form they take, they can not hide from Rinnegan's vision.

Evans thought that since their original plan was to unleash the Nine Tails Fox, they would aim for either Kushina or little Naruto in Biwako's arms to threaten Minato.

After hearing Evans' explanation, Minato and Taji took out their kunai and prepared for a surprise attack. Kushina was exhausted and needed rest. Her eyes were fixed on her child in Biwako'a arms. And Biwako was closely holding Naruto. There was a glint of doubt and fear in everyone's eyes.

Everyone was standing in their places without any movements. The Ninjas didn't want to believe the words of an outsider, but after seeing Minato's expression, and those two dead humanoid creatures, they understood that there was some truth in Evans' explanation. Then, it began, the episode of doubt. Slowly and steadily, the Ninjas created distance among them. They looked weary of each other.

"What's your plan?" Minato asked.

"Plan? Well, that's simple. Kill those three on the left, or I will kill your family. Simple, right?" said Evans with a reassuring smile and a calm face.

"Wait!!! Lord Fourth... Don't listen to the outsider... He is..." Before they could resist, Minato's kunai slit their throats. Taking that brief moment of Minato's absence into account, Taji blinked beside Kushina. Her pale white palm was almost on the seal on Kushina's stomach.

[Zooom] A beam of violet energy pierced through Taji's head before she could touch the seal. She fell to the ground.

"Che. Such a beauty... What a waste," Evans clicked his tongue in disappointment as he hoped to recruit her as the first member of his army. He continued, "Anyway... There ain't anymore Zetsus in here."

"She was... All this time..." Kushina stuttered. She couldn't believe her eyes.

"She was... I never imagined..." Biwako shook her head. There was a glint of sadness in her eyes.

Evans' mission was to stop the Nine-Tails rampage, but Naruto had to become the Jinchuriki. He noticed that he got only 15 more minutes on the Mission Timer. He hurriedly used his genjutsu to put everyone to sleep except for Minato, Kushina, and Biwako.

"Shit!!!" Evans was about to explain the situation, but he suddenly remembered something crucial, "Don't tell me... This reality..."

'Naruto's parents alive... I can change Obito's mind by telling him the truth... And my next plan was to save the Uchiha clan... Don't tell me this world...' Evans thought.

Evans remembered that Naruto movie where Naruto and Sakura were teleported into an alternate reality. In that reality, unlike Naruto, the events of the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox's Attack didn't result in his parents' deaths, and Naruto's name was Menma.

Menma has his parents in that reality. He had a stable and loving childhood with his parents. He enrolled in the Academy and became a genin and then a chūnin. At some point, the Black Nine-Tails was safely removed from Kushina without her death and soon after sealed inside Menma, who later mastered its power.

For unknown reasons, Menma became a missing Ninja. Though this was notably something fairly recent since both Menma's parents and his friends were unaware that he had left the village and that Naruto had taken Menma's place in Konoha.

In addition, Menma began kidnapping shinobi with rare Kekkei Genkai, which attracted attention from the other villages and deemed him as an S-ranked criminal. He soon met Tobi who tells him all about his Eye of the Moon Plan and agreed to help him. From there, targeting the jinchūriki of his world, Menma defeated his reality's Yugito Nii.

"Before I continue... Let me ask a question. Have you thought of a name for your kid?" asked Evans. The answer to his question will reveal everything.

Biwako carefully laid the child beside Kushina.

"Menma..." answered Kushina with a happy smile as she touched her son's cheek.
