Chapter 2: CHARACTER CREATION

"I see... I... Eeehhh!!! A new life of my choosing!!!" for a moment, Evans thought that he was hearing things, but before he could say anything further, a strong force pulled him from the back.

The world turned upside down for him, and he fell through a black hole, "Aaaaaa!!!" He screamed. It was so sudden that he nearly pissed his pants. He was drowning in the endless abyss of water, yet he didn't feel pain.

'When was the last time I felt this much... peace and calmness? If this is a dream, I don't want to wake up from it,' wondered Evans.

Most of his life was spent in the hospital and at home. He never had any friends. He envied it whenever he saw kids playing in the park with their friends. He wanted to run and jump, but his cancer was in the way. Sadness, envy, pain, and anger filled his heart.

Finally, after learning about his death, Evans wanted to sleep or at least take a rest. He is tired. It's been too long since he rested without pain and worries.

[Drip!] Evans heard a sharp sound of a water drop. He opened his eyes and found himself unable to move or see anything except for a gigantic screen before his eyes glowing with a tint green hue.

'The heck?!' He tried to move and speak, but it was futile.

'Character creation! Like an RPG game?!' Evans wanted to say that, but he couldn't since he was just a wisp of his consciousness.

<If you may, you can think of it like that. And since you were a gamer, I guess it's going to be easier for you.>

<Now, the main point. You can customize from your hair to your toenail. There are limitless possibilities. Or, you can choose any pre-made character.>

<Take your time and choose carefully. And there you go...>

"This is?!" Evans could feel his right arm. It was like his arm popped out of nowhere, and yes, it was just his arm without his body that was moving under his control. He saw a PC mouse near his hand, "Ok! Here I go..." He grabbed the mouse and began to move.

A cursor appeared on the screen before him after little statics. Then a white icon with character creation written under it. He moved the cursor on the icon and clicked on it.

"Freaking hell!!! There are so many... I want to click on Naruto, but I also want that Bankai from Bleach... Arggg!!! All are my favorite, f*ck! Then there is DBz Super Saiyan God; if I choose that, I will miss JoJo's Star Platinum. Damn it!!! What to choose? Should I go for Overlord and become that freaking OP Undead? No! That's not a good idea... I will become all bony then..."

"Wait!!! Since they are offering this selection... Do I retain the pre-made character's powers and the promised reward?" Evans wondered.

He was facing a crisis after seeing the name of the world. He wanted to choose but couldn't decide which one to pick. And he wanted to know if he would get all the power of the selected character and the four power that was promised to him.

<Yes, you will retail your character's powers. Or, you can create a custom one and add various attributes to your character.>

<The four powers reward will be given to you after character creation.>

Evans heard the unknown voice of a woman, but he wasn't sure if he heard it or if the voice was directly projected into his remnants. But he could care less at this point.

Evans wanted to see the pre-made characters before creating a custom one. So, he clicked on the first option, Naruto, "Let's see what it looks like before moving on. It would be a waste not to explore the world roster."

Evans was scrolling through the character roster in excitement. It was like those in Mortal Kombat or Naruto games. After viewing for more than twenty minutes, he finally closed the pre-made character roster. He was itching to click the choose button but prevented himself from doing so because he didn't want to live someone's life for them.

"Phew!!! I was greedy. I want to create a new character, better than everyone. The most overpowered character I can imagine. Kekekek!!! It's going to be fun," Evans thought as he clicked on the custom creation option.

Evans was deep in thought after seeing his race choices. There were too many to choose from. After thinking for a bit, he narrowed it down to three races. It's either human, dragon blood, or Saiyan.

"Humm! They say human has limitless potential, just like Saitama from One Punch Man, but I don't want to become bald and human life is too short. If I choose Saiyan, I will retain my youth and continue to evolve forever... Then there is dragon blood... It must be like those dragon slayers thing from Fairy Tail..."

"Humm!!! Who would win if I pit the strongest dragon, like Acnologia or Bahamut, against Ten tails? Man, it would be fun to watch. But then again, I can just choose them from my rewards and combine them with my Saiyan character..."

"Ok, it's decided... Saiyan, it is..."

Evans clicked on Saiyan.

Evans decided to go with his original look without any unnecessary customization, but he changed two things, his eyes and the capacity of the energy reserve/Chakra/Ki.
