Chapter 4: MISUNDERSTANDING

Evans saw a bright flash of light as the teleporter activated, and when he opened his eyes, he found himself standing in a ruined world. Everything was burning around him, and the sky was covered in black clouds. The first thing he did was examine his body.

"Oh! Everything is good so far," His body was exactly like when he was on earth, except for some added muscles. He was wearing a basic set of ninja clothes from Naruto's world, "Is this real?!" He pinched his cheek, "Oouch! Yup! It looks real."

Evans imagined that he would be teleported into a cartoon world, but everything around him was real. He looked around to find someone, but there wasn't anyone.

"What the heck happened here? Which era am I in?" He wondered.

[Booom!!!] A loud explosion occurred. A massive dome of blue energy appeared in the sky. It lasted for a few seconds before disappearing. Then a stream of red light crashed down on the ground.

"What the hell was that?" Evans was astonished to see the colorful blast. It was like a laser light show he once saw in a show. To fulfill his curiosity, he dashed toward the direction where the red flash crashed.

"Hahaha!!! I am running... Hohooo!!! This is fun," He was running and yelling in excitement. It was the first time he felt so free, strong, and healthy. But he stopped on his way. His happy expression became grim.

A bleeding woman was lying on the scorching ground before his feet. Evans shivered. He nearly forgot that he was alive. And he was standing in a place filled with danger. The destruction around him can mean only one thing, a great war or some really dangerous enemies have appeared, and none of those options are a good sign for him or anyone else.

Evans slowly bent down and extended his hand toward her. He wanted to see her face since she was lying on her stomach. Her left arm was missing, and there were three stab injuries on her back.

"Tsuna... No! Sakura!!!" He stuttered, "Oi! Sakura, shit!! Her wounds look critical, and I don't have a f*cking healing power." He was cursing himself for wasting his chance in the lucky draw.

Evans identified her from the faded diamond sign of Byakugo no Jutsu on her forehead. He mistook her for Tsunade, but he noticed that even though her hair was white like snow, her face wasn't like an old woman's. And he clearly remembers that Tsunade reverts back to her original look after using up her chakra.

"Damn it!!! Her breathing is too shallow. What can I do? Think, Evans... Think... Wait a minute!!! I can try and use a Jutsu, can't I? Or maybe I can help her regain her chakra. Yeah, that's the safest way. Let's give it a try... Hold on, girl. Don't you dare die on me..."

Evans touched Sakura's belly and closed his eyes to concentrate. He wasn't sure how to use chakra or energy in his case. Surprisingly, he felt something warm around his naval area.

He could see a cluster of green mass which seemed to be inside his stomach area, and streams of green light in his veins, "So, these are chakra points..." He opened his eyes and looked toward Sakura.

Evans has completely forgotten that he chose two different eyes during the character creation to give him an edge in the ninja world. And, right now, he was using his ocular power on his own without any knowledge. He was able to see the chakra points in his and Sakura's body.

"I can do it," He tried to pull a portion from the chakra cluster, and surprisingly, it responded to his will. He felt like he was controlling a part of his body, just like breathing.

[Sizzzle] He carefully measured Sakura's chakra reserve and started to transfer his energy directly into her reserve.

[Approx 5 minutes later]

Evans slowly severed his energy connection and sighed in relief. He could tell that Sakura's body had begun to react to his energy. She was healing her own wounds even in her unconscious condition. Her bleeding stopped from her severed arm, and the wounds on her back disappeared with a sizzle of hot air.

"Hey! Are you alright?" Evans inquired as Sakura opened her eyes.

"Thank you," Sakura tried to stand up, "I have to help Naruto... Arggg!!!" She groaned in pain.

"Wooow!!! Don't move too much," Evans helped her up, "What the hell happened here?" He inquired.

"What do you mean what happened? You... Those eyes! Who are you?" Sakura jumped back and took out her kunai. Even in her condition, she was able to escape from Evans, creating a distance between them, "Are you with them?" She yelled.

Evans could see the rage and anger in her eyes. She might attack, depending on his answer, 'How should I explain this?'

He put his hands up, "If I was an enemy, you would already be dead by now. Put down your weapon and tell me what's going on here?" He said with a smile.

"Ninja Art: Giant Sand Coffin..."

[Wooosh] Suddenly, sands appeared around Evans out of nowhere and began to bind him.

"Are you ok, Sakura? Hufff!!! We were late..."

"Gaara!!!" Evans caught a glimpse of the ninja before sands clustered around him, and a giant pyramid appeared in his position.
