Chapter 13: Chapter 13: Return to starfall

(POV Third Person)

At the top of the Tower of Joy, the son of Prince Rhaegar Targaryen and Lyanna Stark has just been born, Eddard watches this scene with anguish, as he sees his sister in her bed with blood stains

Lady Lyanna "Ned, come closer" she says with a broken and weak voice.

Lord Eddard "Lya" said kneeling near the bed and taking Lady Lyanna's hand.

Lady Lyanna "This is my son, Ned" she says beckoning the matron to show Lord Eddard her son

Lord Eddard takes the child in his arms, while Lady Lyanna gives her last words to Lord Eddard

Lady Lyanna "Take care of my son Ned" she said between tears

"His name is Aegon Targaryen"

Lord Eddard, upon hearing, remained silent, with the child in his arms and a Lady Lyanna squeezing his forearm upon receiving no response from him.

Lady Lyanna "Promise me" she said pleadingly "Promise me, Ned"

Lady Lyanna "Lord Eddard!" I scream to get him out of trance

Lord Eddard "I promise" he said again "I promise, Lya..." before she breathed his last

When Lord Eddard did not come down after a long time, Howland went up to the Tower, and found Lord Eddard embracing the inert body of his sister, with one hand intertwined, still and mute from the pain of the separation he was experiencing.

Lancel "Lancel Sand, illegitimate son of Lord Dayne" says approaching Lord Eddard

Lord Eddard "Take it" says handing over the sword and giving an order "Don't tell anyone what you saw here pointing to the baby"

Lancel "So I will Lord Eddard" he says as he swears an oath to the weirwood (heart tree) faith, then leaves for Starfall with Princess Rhaenys and Ser Arthur Dayne.

(Lancel POV)

Hours of travel later, we arrived at mount black, we sailed by boat and I bought the silence of the captain with the last 6 gold coins that I had left in my pocket

Ser Arthur was still in a coma, unconscious in the cabin, while I was sitting near the bed and Little Princess was exhausted from the trip, so she slept with her head in my lap until we reached Starfall.

At the gates of Starfall, the guards, seeing me arrive with Ser Arthur Dayne, help me carry his body to Lord Dayne's castle.

Later in the presence of Lord Dayne...

Lord Dayne "What happened?" he asks me seeing his brother lying in bed unconscious

Lord Dayne "Princess" says as he greets her with a nod.

Lancel "So that they don't notice her, I want to take her to my house, and in a few days travel to Sunspear to meet her uncle Lord Oberyn" I say after reflecting I continue saying "You must also announce that Ser Arthur is dead so as not to bring him problems while recovering"

Lord Dayne "So we will" he says, after analyzing what I told him

Lord Dayne "What do you want as a reward?" asks me

Lancel "When Ser Arthur gets better, I want him to train me," I say, remembering the magnificent fight he was putting up when he was outnumbered.

Lord Dayne "You have my word" he says and continues "you can withdraw"

Lancel "At your service my Lord" I say bowing

I leave the castle taking the hand of the Princess in the direction of my parents' house

 (Lisa POV)

With this day it is eleven days since my brother left for the Martell house lands, every day I spend training and studying to try not to miss him, which has been torture for me
