[Third person POV]
Entering the Arena, Lancel headed towards the Gates of Fate, waiting for the recent fighting to end, while the others went to sit in the blue middle-class tiers of Meereen society.
In the arena there were two slave warriors fighting to the death, one had a spear in his hand, while the other had a sword and a shield, the bets were in favor of the warrior with a spear. Since he managed the distance very well against his previous opponents.
"I'm going to bet on the spear warrior" Oberyn tells a person who is one of the bet collectors
"I think the one with the sword and shield will win" Arthur tells Oberyn, who stops and looks at him strangely
"Are you sure?" Oberyn asks with doubts in his eyes.
"I am" Arthur answers looking towards the sand
"Good, for the warrior with the sword" Oberyn tells the betting person
In the halls of the fighting pits, Lancel enters and they stare at him surprised that a young man enters well dressed, and with noble characteristics
"Are you going to fight?" Midas asks with a frown, he is the guardian of the slaves
"Yes, I'll fight any beast you have" Lancel replied with a serious look.
"Do you want to become famous, or are you willing to die?" Midas asks doubtfully
"I want to fight the best beasts you have, and you can bet on me, I'll beat them all" Lancel replies with a serious look.
"I doubt it" Midas tells him looking at his height, and how thin he looks
"Say that I have a low chance of winning, and bet on me, you will win and I will win," Lancel tells him with a confident smile.
"We'll see in your first fight" Midas tells him looking towards the arena, where the fight was decided with the victory of the warrior with a sword
"Cheer up the atmosphere, I want to go out now" Lancel tells him with a taciturn look
"Okay, go ahead" Midas tells him opening the doors for him to get out, while following close behind. "This warrior will fight against the best monsters I have at my disposal, you can place your bets, but let me tell you that this young man has little chance of winning" he tells them and listens to their booing for Lancel
"You're great" Lancel tells Midas with a thumbs up.
"Don't let me down" Midas tells him leaving the combat arena
Two huge lions come out of other doors, and they look at Lancel with anger. Lancel draws his sword over his shoulder and prepares to fight. In the seats, Oberyn bets everything he has on Lancel, the collector of bets is surprised to see Oberyn asking for more money from those who are with him to bet everything on Lancel
"Uncle, I don't have a lot of money with me," Rhaenys tells him with a elusive look.
"I only have two coins with me" Arthur tells him showing his two coins
"What a pity" Oberyn says, snatching it from him hands and passing them to the collector of bets
"I only have a gold coin that Lancel gave me" Lisa said, passing the coin to him.
"I don't bring anything with me" Aegon says embarrassed.
"I bring three with me" Daenerys tells him passing the coins to Oberyn
"With this we complete fifty gold coins, and the bets are five to one, we will win two hundred and fifty easy coins" Oberyn tells them with a smirk
"Bet on him fifty gold coins" Midas tells a slave servant
Lancel keeps dodging the attacks of the Lions, he does not want to win easily, so that the bets are against him in each fight and to be able to win gold coins with the bets
The crowd boos as they watch a warrior fleeing from the lions, suddenly see him stumble at an opportune moment when the lion attacks him, and them watch as he plunges his sword into the lion's stomach. Lancel gets up quickly and continues running from the other lion, the crowd sighs for the luck of this warrior, because later they saw how he sliped and saw how his sword is sank directly against the lion. Burying themselves his sword in the lion's skull
"Yes, I did it" Lancel tells them in a haughty voice, and the angry crowd boos at the smug laugh this shameless warrior has.

"Hahaha, way to go" Oberyn tells the others upon seeing the gold coins in a box
"You should hide it, and let others bet on you" Lisa gives him advice, seeing the face of the collector of bets in the blue zone
"Hey you, come here, I have a lucrative business for you" Oberyn tells the collector of bets with a dark smile
"I'm Amir, what do you want?" Amir tells him with a spiteful look
"Go bet with these coins against the high society in the orange zone, and I'll give you a tenth of our profit" Oberyn tells him with a smile, remembering that Lancel told him that he should make a lot of profit in the bets
"I can't go to that level" Amir tells him with a sad look, looking at the coins in the box next to Oberyn.
"Go and say that your master sent you to bet against them, and that he bets two hundred and fifty gold coins that that young man will win against anyone" Rhaenys tells him with a look full of confidence
"It's not a bad idea" Amir tells him going to the lower levels
In the fighting pits...
"As he survived the confrontation, the master Paki Zhak can tell us what monster he wants this warrior to fight against" Midas tells one of the masters present in the Arena
"Against a Basilisk" Paki tells him with a sneer looking at Lancel
"You are wise master" Midas tells him with a smile, then approaches Lancel and asks if he can win.
"I can" Lancel answers with a goofy smile.
"When you smile like that, it makes me want to slap you" Midas says, shaking his head and leaving in the fighting pits
Throughout the arena it is announced that the bets are against the warrior of fifteen to one. To Oberyn can be seen in the seats with a winning smile
In the fighting pits a chained monster comes out, it has six legs with sharp claws, in addition to the elongated neck with a lizard snout with sharp teeth, its tail extends eight meters in length behind it, its size is three meters in height and its extension is ten meters without putting the tail in the calculations
'I imagined it smaller' Lancel thinks with a twitching face
"Bet two hundred gold coins" Midas tells his servant, thinking of betting only his money won on today's bet.
Lancel puts away his sword and asks for a spear, as the Basilisk has very thick skin, and his sword can get caught in its flesh.
Although he does not show it in the fighting pits, he is nervous at the moment, since he has not fought against a beast in this world and he has to face a dangerous beast
"Should I change my bet?" Oberyn questions the others as he sees the beast Lancel is up against.
"He can beat him," Rhaenys confidently tells Oberyn.
"A Dragon can, it's hard for a human to beat him, but Lancel has to do it, otherwise I'll enter in the fighting pit" Lisa tells them with a serious look on her face
When the Basilisk attacks they see the speed with which it moves forward, even with chains that restrict its movement. Lancel sees him approaching quickly, and decides to run around him, but watches as the beast's tail approaches his face.
Lancel ducks and dodges the attack, standing up and watching as the beast stops and charges at him again. The crowd makes a noise to annoy the beast more and make it attack him with more cruelty.
Lancel waits until the last moment when the beast is about to bite him, then he lunges diagonally at the Basilisk and plunges his spear into its neck. The beast is angered by the sting it feels and lashes out at Lancel with its tail. Lancel observes that the wound on the neck is not deep, and when he sees the Basilisk's tail, he covers himself with the spear, due to the force of the blow it goes up into the air and falls five meters away from the animal.
"That spear doesn't have much of a sharp edge" Oberyn tells the others when he sees the wound on the beast.
Lancel stands up and dusts off his shirt, scowling at the beast. The Basilisk looks at the human who gets up as if nothing had happened to him and gets angrier, he attacks him angrily, rising up on his four hind legs and attacking Lancel from top to bottom. Lancel waits for the attack and takes a step forward, then he crouches down and the moment he feels that there is contact between his spear against the animal's skin, he moves to the side and see as the spear is buried between the Basilisk's jaw.
The Basilisk is still alive, but remains in pain lying on the sand, Lancel draws his sword and cuts the Basilisk's neck in several cuts, ripping off the animal's head. From the seats they look at a young man bathed in blood near the body of the Basilisk and with a cheerful smile
"Hahaha, I'm the best" Lancel tells them with an annoying laugh for the listeners, the crowd boos again, but they look at him with respect for surviving the fight.
