Chapter 7: Chapter 7: Leaving for Sunspear 2

 

(Lancel POV)

 

That same night news came of the battle of the Bells, in that battle the Stark house, the Tully and the Arryn participated, it is still unknown how Robert Baratheon was wounded who had to hide in the Stone Sept, the battle was won against the forces royalists commanded by Jon Connington, for the rest of the war perhaps I'll make it to King's Landing in time

 

The next morning I woke up early, carrying a sack where I keep my clothes and I put my sword on my right shoulder. My sister is still asleep, I don't want to wake her up and say goodbye to her so as not to see her cry, my mother is in the kitchen while my father is waiting in the dining room, he will take me to Sir Gerald Dayne, a distant relative of Lord Dayne

After lunch I give Mary a hug and tell her to take care of herself, then I go to bed where Lisa is asleep and kiss her forehead and leave the house with Robert towards the port

 

Upon arrival we see a fleet ready to set sail, there we see a young man about 14 years old with white hair and a lock of black hair, sharp face and cruel smile, when he sees us arrive he shows a mocking smile

 

Gerold "This is the bastard I'm waiting for" he says with a cruel smile

 

Robert "This is my son, Lord Dayne sends him to Sunspear to train" said my father with a red face

 

System "The Host must choose at this time to be a friend or an enemy of Gerold Dayne" said the voice

 

Lancel 'Since his history is not clear in the books I am going to take him as my enemy, so I don't bother to put up with his insults'

 

Lance "Enemy"

 

System "First mission: 1) Before the Host turns 20 he must kill Gerold Dayne, if the Host does not complete the mission, the Host will lose a power" said the voice

 

Lancel 'But what? What did I get myself into? This man seems to be good at fighting. I'm going to wait until I'm 19 years old to fulfill this mission.'

 

Gerold throws a sealed document in Robert's face, and gets on the boat that is about to leave.

 

Robert "Take care Lancel" he said as he leaned down to give me a hug, then he hands me the sealed document

 

Lancel "Take care too father, and don't make my mother angry" then I quickly get on the boat

 

Robert was shocked by the recommendation I gave him

 

Lancel "System, why did you give me the mission to kill Gerold after I chose him to be my enemy?"

 

System "Because there is evil in his eyes when he sees the Host, but the Host made the right choice this time, since even being his friend in the end he could betray his friendship"

 

Lancel 'I thought the system would only torture me for the powers, but it seems to protect me now'

 

(third person POV)

 

They have been traveling on the sea for a day, and Lancel has already vomited three times, his body is not used to the movement of the ship on the high seas, since the stability is not the same as what he was used to in his world.

Jonothor and Barristan "At your service my King" they said before leaving his presence towards the Stone Sept to carry out the orders

 

Aerys II Targaryen "Lewyn gathers the 10,000 Dornish soldiers and get together with Prince Rhaegar at the Trident" said the King after thinking about the message Prince Rhaegar sent to ask Tywin Lannister for help

 

Aerys II Targaryen "Jaime, send a letter to your father to gather his army to support the fight on the Trident" gave orders to Jaime

 

Jaime "At your service my King" he said, then went to the Maestre's tower to send the letter

 

(Lancel POV)

 

The next day we arrived at Sunspear, ancestral place of the Martell house, we disembarked at its port, then Gerold took command to enter the city and meet with Doran Martell

 

Arriving at the castle, Gerold asks for an audience with Doran Martell, he is allowed to enter and he sees me again with a disgusted face.

 

Gerold "Come with me" he says gritting his teeth

 

Lancel "Okay"

 

Upon entering we see Doran sitting in a chair, it seems that he already has health problems

 

Gerold and Lancel "Greetings my Lord" greet him, kneeling on the ground

 

Doran "Standing"

 

Gerold "My cousin Lord Dayne sends you his regards, in addition to last year's tax payment" he says handing him a letter

 

Doran reviews the letter, then invites Gerald to lunch.

 

Gerold "Before entering, my cousin sent you a letter asking you to do him the favor of finding a teacher for his bastard son" he says to Doran, apparently he can't stand my presence, I immediately take out the letter and show it to Doran, who takes it and reads it, then smiles

 

Doran "Here he describes that you will be an excellent warrior, your teacher will be Oberyn Martell" he says, then he sends for a guard and gives him the order to take me to where Oberyn is.

 

(Oberyn Martell POV)

 

It's been a while since the Usurper's war began, and my brother has me locked up, what i longs for the most is battle, that's why I've been training in the gardens, from afar I see a guard coming and with him a boy from about 8 years

 

Guard "Lord Oberyn, my Lord has sent this child to be his teacher" said the guard handing me a note with my brother's seal.

 

The boy has violet eyes and hair as black as pitch and whitish skin.

 

Oberyn "Whose son are you, boy?"

 

Lancel "I am Lord Dayne's bastard son" he said without any fear on his face

 

Oberyn "And what's your name?"

 

Lancel "Lancel Sand" said with a strong voice
