Chapter 8: Ch8 A storm was brewing

Inside the castel of the Eniro Kingdom a heated disscusion was going on between the crown prince and the king.

"Father! Why would you allow fifth brother to meet the protector?! That good for nothing does only lunger with commoners and doesn't see the bigger picture of our future!"

The crown prince Flo was furious after learning that his fifth brother took the protector somewhere. Even dared to say to her that it was worth going out!

"Hmpf, you don't even sit on this ones seat and are already such a big nuisace. What would happen after you sit on this? Plunge the kingdom in another war? Don't feign ignorance before me! You are scared that Protector Faith would choose Elias to inhert the throne! As for why I did allow him to see her? He swore on his name that if she didn't find it worthwhile he would abondon his name and live without our support."

After hearing his father, the kings, words did Flo calm down. No, he was even more sure that something was fishy! 

"What if he lured her out to be ambushe-"

"ENOUGH!!" The guards beside the king and the maids immediately trembled. A shadow appeared beside the king and said in a hoarse voice.

"Young crown prince, you shall better leave now. Your tongue is as toxic as your mind. You should go and reflect on your behaviour towards your father."

As soon as the shadow ended his line it dissapeard. The crown prince knew that that was the right-hand of the king. Every royality will have a newborn child trained for them. They will live as long as the person which they are tasked to protect. Do things which shouldn't be talked about.

Flo bowed ane left in anger. They would see that once the protector didn't come back that he was right!

The crown prince wasn't a bad person himself, his mind was just too occupied with the throne and the safety of it. What would happen if he gets crowned but no protector was in the kingdom? He would be a king of a lost land!

The king waved his hands and the guards and maids left the room.

"What should I do about this son of mine, Henry? He would be the best to inhert the throne but his mind is somewhat twisted. Did Protector Faith say where they where headed?"

The shadow manifested itself again and said.

"He is occupied wirh the throne and power. He could truly lead this kingdom to the top but at what cost? Faith didn't send any news anymore since several minutes. Something about meeting a higher being."

The king nodded and fell into thought. He knew almost everything about his six children. His fifth child Elias wasn't one to just randomly do something stupid. Elias knew the throne couldn't be his but he was content with researching artifacts and helping out the kingdom. Thats why he was in the Commerce guild day in day out.

The shadow beside the king suddenly spasmed and looked intot the sky.

"Ascencion Tribulation? Why is the a hint of Soul Union Tribulation in it? Could it be?!"

The king beside Henry was also shocked. His fifth son was a step away from the Soul Union realm and Protector Faith already said she would ascend soon. Didn't she say though she would stay until someone else reached the Ascencion stage?

"Henry come with me now!"

The king immediately jumped up and flew outside the castle in the direction where the tribulation was centered.the whole city was in an upriar when they saw a storm brewing out of nowhere in the capital. Did their doomsday arrive?

In the kitchen was Alejandro with his head hanging low, listening to Tal berating him.

"As a King realm expert you should very well know that until someone enters the First-Step realm, they would can cultivate by eating meat and ingridients of that level. Do you want to make everyone become an cultivator?"

Alejandro was a little bit sour, he didn't gwt any ingridients so he had to use his own. He only cooked for Emperor and Sovereign realm experts. How the hell should he have normal ingridients?

"Your E-..Mister Tal, i don't have any ingridients for mortals. Even this meat and fruit are the lowest ingridients I have."

Tal almost facepalmed, it seemd that getting memories from mortals didn't make him more social. If he just asked Alejandro before he could have avoided the event which was about to unfold..

"Ok, that's my fault. I don't have any such ingridients either. Go out and fetch some. We will close the resteraunt for today. Forget about them talking either. One will ascend and the other has an emphatie."

Tal left the kitchen towards the duo which were in their own world, inside the kitchen did Alejandro heave a sigh of relief. It seemed that the person who was equal to Death really did change a bit.

"Lara, go and put on the 'We're closed'  sign. Also wait outside, we have two guest coming here in a minute.."

Lara did as she was told while Tal looked at Faith first, he waved his hand and a silvery light entered her body. Seconds later the connection she had to the Middle Realm was cut off. She angrily opend her eyes and swept the room with them.

Her eyes stoped at Tal and she instantly had no more anger within her. How would she dare to!

"Sir, can I be so rude and ask you why you did that?" Legends told that once one failed at connecting to the upper realms they wouldn't be able to ascend anymore.

"Asking for permission and doing it anyway before I can answer, rude girl. Anyway you should be happy, the thing you call Ascending Tribulation is only a test from some third tier sects in the middle realm. If you prove yourself they will relay an ascencion order. If not you have to break the barrier yourself. The first is a backdoor and the second is for true cultivators."

Faith was stunnend. The tribulation was only something a third tier faction was in charge of? A simple test of cultivators not from heaven itself?

"I see you confusion, no hard feelings but both ascenciin tribulation to the middle and upper realm are made by a faction."

"I thank you sir for explaining that to me and helping me correct my path, just why would you do that?"

Faith wasn't so naive to believe that there wasn't any catch.

"Oh nothing, I already gor my payment, read some of your memories but your life was as boring as it could be. Even if you and the brat there talked, nothing interesting would have come out."

Tal looked at Eliad and had a thought, well, he did help to find out the conter productive aspect of the meals.

He took out a yellow shining orb and played with it for some seconds before flickering it into the body of Elias.

"You will not get the weapon and armor but because you helped me out to find some errors here..well let's just say its a little compensation."

Faith on the side was perplexed, what did he flick into the fifth princes body? She only felt the some thunder aura, no, it was more like a tribulation aura?

At the same time all this was happening inside the store. Outside did the tribulation look like a lost child, no one knew that in the middle realm an elder of a third rate sect was puzzled. What just happend?

Henry and the king did arrive before the shop and saw an angry girl tipping her foot before the entrance.

"About time! Come in." 

Both of the newcomer were stunnend. Rude! A quick scan let them know that she had no cultivation. So how was she waiting for them? It seemed the message Faith send Henry really was true, well they would know soon!
