Chapter 7: Ch7 Ascending with food

Elias walked down the street where the shop he wanted to visit was. The old granny from the Commerce Guild told him the location. 

It had to be this building but the intel he got wasn't like what he saw. Where a little backery should have been was a shoo with a board saying General Store with a Restaurant.

"Well, if its not the right shop I can just look for it. I could grab some food too. It's almost noon."

As Elias walked in he saw the girl and the man he saw in the guild. Jackpot was his thought but why a General Store? What would be selled here?

He walked up to the girl and asked her.

"Hello girl, can I ask what you sell here? I see shelfs but no ware? Also is the food good here?"

Lara was on a mental breakfown, she didn't think that as soon as they opend a customer would come.

"We have anything you ask for, as for the food. Our chef said this was the best resteraunt in all three realms."

Lara didn't even look up while answering. She was still in her thoughts about those two with her were from the Upper Realm.

Elias eyes twitched. Was this some kind of joke? Let alone her explanation, she herself looked like she was a prisoner here.

"Oj girl, I don't pay you for being a melancholic tree in the shop. Get to work!"

Tal yelled from behind the counter which made Lara jump up and shout.

"I don't get payed what do you even mean!"

"You can train under me and eat food served by Alejandro, hows that no pay? I'm sorry costumer, she is new. With what can I help you?"

If Elias didn't knew that the shop owner was not a normal person he would have walked out without a second thought.

"As you say you sell everything here. I want a Thundersword imbued with a Soul and a Armor which can withstand attacks from Void realm experts. Also something light to eat. It doesn't matter what."

Tal looked at Elias and pondered.

"If you want to eat here you need to be at least two people and talking with each other during the meal. As for the items. This is a Viperhide Lightarmor. As for the sword, what kind do you want? One handed or two handed? Be more specific"

Elias was taken aback when he saw the armor. He may be only in the Union realm but he would dare to say that he couldn't leave a scratch on it! But what about that rule of eating only with two people?!

"Ehm a one handed if possible, also what is this about the rule for eating? Especially the payment?"

" Because you only want low leveled items the payment is payd by memories. As for the rule? I just made it. Lara put on a sign for that!"

One could hear a grunt from the kitchen but soon a girl with a board walked out and hang it beside the entrance.

"Come back here after you have someone to eat with and I will give you these two things for free!"

Tal took out a sword in a red and yellow sheath. Sparks began to emit as he unsheathed it for a moment.

"This sword has a Thunderbird Soul in the Ascencion stage. I don't have any lower leveled sword with thundersouls."

Elias almost wanted to jump and grab the sword but still had some rationality in himself. He knew what an Ascencion reaml expert was like. People called them sages but in reality they were one step away from going into the middle realm. 

The protector of the kingdom was one such expert! As he thought about the protector a wicked idea came to his mind. He knew who to have dinner with!

"I will be back shortly shop owner!" Elias bowed hastily and left in full sprint.

Hours went by, soon before the shop was closing did a pair of adults walk towards the shop.

"Protector Faith, i swear on my name that what I told you was the truth! Its not far anymore!"

"Hmpf, If you lied it won't only be your titeld that will be stripped. You better weren't scammed!"

It was Elias in accompany of an mature women. She didn't look old but time left her some souvenirs.

"This is it! Please come in."

Elias pushed the door open and instantly said to the girl he saw sitting "A meal for two! Also if possible I would like to request the shopkeeper to hand me my reward in advance! If he is not content I will gladly come here again with other people!"

Lara looked up and vanished in the kitchen to tell Alejandro. Tal put away his book and walked towards the duo before looking the newcomer up and down.

"Here, this is yours. Better be save and talk with her good. She doesn't have long to life with that mind devil and before the first ascencion tribulation."

Tal put the armor and the sword on the table and left behind a happy person and a not so happy one.

Protector Faith used her aura to scan Tal but immediately regreted it. She was flying high above the capital with a scared look on her face. Tal didn't punch her as hard to kill her, he just wanted to give her an example.

"See foryourself Protector Fait-?" Elias was confused, where did she go? Wasn't she just sitting here with him? What would happen to the meal?

"Tell her that this will be my last and final warning, next time she will not die by the tribulation but from my hands" a cold voice woke up Elias and he could somehow guess what happend.

Holy lord, why would the calm protector do something so stupid?! 

After a solid minute of waiting did the door open and the missing person walked inside. Her head was lowered as if not do make any unecessary movements.

Elias looked at her with some scorn in his eyes as she sat down at the table. "Protector Faith, I warned you that the shopkeeper probably wasn't someone from the lower realm! He told me to tell you that this will be your first and final warning. Please don't let me die for nothing."

She wasn't so stupid to not understand that the saving grace was the shopkeeper holding back. 

Suddenly a fresh aroma tingled their noses. Even she, the protector of a kingdom, didn't smell something so good yet.

Lara walked out with two tablets of food. The duo didn't know what was inside but she knew. That was why she  didn't want to carry it. She didn't know which realm an emperor beast was or what kind of plant the Fruit of Ascendence.

But alone the names made her shiver, if this tray were to drop she wouldn't be able to pay for it! Wait a minute, she didn't get payd for this! 

The duo sitting at the table saw how the girl carrying their food suddenly increased in speed and self esteem. Was the food so good that she grew up from being shy to a clothing model?

"Here is your food, two portion of emperor Taurus meat with a sauce made of the Fruit of Ascendence. For the side dish it will be the choice of the chef, Twisted Dragon Cabbage. Also please remember to talk about your daily life during the meal. We all don't want a certain person to be grumpy.."

As Lara removed the cover of the trays an aroma many times stronger than before waved through the shop. Lara almost backfliped after taking a sniff of it before getting caught by an invincible hand by Tal. The duo on the other hand was sweating bullets.

Elias had some achievments in cultivation but he almost broke through the Soul Union realm after a sniff. What would happen if he eats it?

Protector Faith on the other hand almost saw her tribulation coming. What was this food?

Tal teleported Lara upstairs and walked into the kitchen. Maybe he had to tell Alejandro that he shouldn't make food to let people directly ascend to the middle realm...
