Genesis: Para Bellum

Two hundred years ago, humanity changed after coming into contact with a divine race that called themselves the Empyreans. With the presence of these beings also came the appearance of gargantuan portals– known as the Origins – that unleashed fearsome monsters into the world. To assist mankind’s struggle with the beasts, the Empyreans created the Champion Contracts. With it, certain humans –who came to be known as Champions– were granted the immense powers and skills of offering Empyreans, or Patrons as they also came to be called. Only the strongest and smartest of humans, those most compatible with having a Patron garnered attention from the Empyreans. These individuals that came to embody the finest of both species became the elites of human society, awarded and considered to be the saviors and defenders of mankind.

Living in a world that praised and privileged strength, cunning, and identity was a difficult task for someone considered average in everything except his height and kindness. After going through a traumatic incident caused by his bullies and an Origin, Genesis Roa, geek extraordinaire and ostracized loser, unknowingly catches the attention of a mysterious and long-lost Empyrean.
