White, is all there is for millions of miles. With the sound of thunderous fury, a blizzard is ever present in this white world. Completed with dim overcast skies that host a lonely small dim dot of a sun, white hell is an apt name for this world. A humanoid figure could be seen blending in this desolate white. Lying down seemingly transparent, slowly phasing in and out of reality.

“Where is this?” it asked

“hungry” it responded with a lower more bestial voice

“Where is this?” it asked again

“Food” the bestial voice demanded

“Where. Is. This.?”

With a slight pause, the bestial voice finally answered

“Home”

“THIS IS NOT MY HOME”

“…….”

The humanoid slowly phased and finally materialized (slowly phased into existence/slowly phased into vision). Standing up and then looking above beyond the cloud and onto the stars, it said “I failed. You stopped me again”

The bestial voice answered. But unlike before it sounded a little bit apologetical.

“We wouldn’t survive the abyss for that long, we wouldn’t survive that distance”

“Of course, you wouldn’t let us die.”

“Indeed, it is our mission after all”

“What is the mission?”

With a robotic tone, the bestial answered

“Current Mission: SURVIVE”

“How long?”

“Mission Time Limit: INDEFINITE”

The monotone voice of a thundering blizzard was finally broken by something. The humanoid started to laugh “hah ha h…. HAHAHAHAHAHA…” and the laugh turn into sobs “HAhaaahhaahaaahhhhhaaaaa” then slowly it started to walk with nowhere in particular

An unknown amount of time passed. The humanoid figure could be seen walking seemingly unaffected by the heavy snowstorm around it.

“We are hungry. You used too much abyss energy. We must hunt.” The bestial voice demanded “searching for prey… prey found.”

In the distance, barely visible, a huge beast with scales as white as its surrounding could be seen laying low trying to blend into its environment. It has six appendages each with 4 fingers. At the end of each finger, a long claw with a blue metallic sheen could be barely seen hiding, folding inside its fingers. It seems to be hiding, ambushing for prey. What it didn’t know was that it is actually prey for something else

the humanoid stands still while its head tilts to the side. The four slits on its head where the eyes are supposed to be glowing with ominous red color. “Current prey: Specimen number 385, threat level: 0. Main method of attack is its speed and claw to ambush. Analyzing prey composition…” with a robotic tone the bestial voice said. “Suitable materials for abyss energy fabrication found” the humanoid then changed its stance to all four and the bestial voice said with a more excited tone “hmm not particularly strong but fast and durable. This should be a fun hunt”

In an instant, the humanoid suddenly appears behind the huge beast. The beast didn’t seem to notice the humanoid presence. Before it knew the beast's head suddenly fell, separated from its body. Purple blood started to spray everywhere from its neck.

“Grrrr… You didn’t let me hunt” the bestial voice complains.

“The last time you hunt you ruined all the meat and wasted half of the spoil” it calmly retorted to the bestial voice. “Besides, this one’s meat is good but easily spoiled.” it said while expertly carving the meat from the bone of the creature. “And I need some good food once in a while”.

“Fine but you should make that rotisserie thing again”

“Hmm, sure this thing is close enough.” it said while looking at the meat that is covered in purple blood.

The humanoid then makes a makeshift bag out of the creature's skin and place the meat inside. with the sound of air decompressing two crossing line appears on the humanoid face. The line open and then folded into the side of the humanoid jaw. A surprisingly human-like jaw was then revealed if not for the scaled skin and razor-sharp teeth. The humanoid then proceeds to eat the rest of the creature's bones and all.

The huge beast was quickly devoured by the much smaller humanoid in no time leaving nothing left. “Energy Status: Abyss energy: 1.2 yy. (20%), Calorie energy: 929 tera-joules (40%)” the bestial voice then said after the humanoid finished eating. “Still hungry, more, more prey”.

“Hmm I guess we could look for more, but I need to cook this first”.

Picking up the bag the humanoid then started to walk again, with somewhere in mind this time.

In the part of the planet that is not constantly ravaged by the blizzard. In the middle of a mountain range that covered the area from the harsh snowstorm wind. Leaving a pristine quiet almost magical area that is beautiful but creepy at the same time.

Arrived at this strange biome, the humanoid asked while looking at a tall white purplish structure. “What is this thing?”

The bestial voice answered. “it’s called a skyscraper.”

“Hmm, strange it seems familiar.”

“of course, it is, you made it after all.”

“Huh… I don’t remember. When did I make this”

“Currently 3078 years 4 months 10 earth days later after you finished the last structure of your so-called ‘City of Bones’.”

“Do you know why did I make this?”

“Voice memories note of city of bones found, do you want to hear it?”

“Sure”

“Playing: self-log number: 238843” the bestial voice said in a robotic tone

A voice started to play. It is a lonely shaking voice of a man “Log 2388…day 10… day… It’s been a while since I make another log. Hahhh…. I can’t remember you love. I started to forget, I always knew it would come to this, yet I’m still afraid. I can’t remember what time it is, what days it is…. I’m scared…. I’m scared…” the humanoid stands still listening to its own voice unknowingly. “I…I can’t remember your name my love. I can’t remember our daughter’s name. For God’s sake, I can’t remember how to speak. My mind started to decay.” The man said with deep anguish and sadness in his voice. “I guess a human is not meant to live this long. my body won’t let me die. I’m getting insane, I started to hear a voice, this body’s voice. Well, at least I won’t be lonely anymore. I make this city of bones to remember our home, our city where we first met from my memories…. well, or what was left in it. This is my last entry, I don’t think I can be myself again since apparently it’s been a while since I woke up. My mind is too tired. I just hope that someday even if I don’t wake up, when I look at this place, I can still remember both of your faces. This is Captain Rem... Remington…. Out.”

“What was that?”

“it’s your last log.”

“Why do I make these logs?”

“I don’t know. Does it matter?”

“Hmm… no”

“Well then what are we waiting for? Hurry up and make that rotisserie thing”

The humanoid started to walk again through complexes of structures made of bones that stretch for hundreds of miles. With a lonely gait that wasn’t there before.
