D-d-d-did you hear that?" Calir looked at her husband. Chris on the other hand stiffened while looking at the little baby hugging a ball of light.

Victor looked at their expression and couldn't help but think that they still have much to look forward to.

Suddenly Chris' eyes sharpened as he looked at his wife. "Did you manage to capture it?"

'Wha- what is it now?' Thought Victor as he felt the severity in Chris' voice.

"Hmp of course." Calir said as she took out a palm sized crystal.

"A Recording Crystal?" Victor pondered why Calir would suddenly bring out such an item. Then it dawned on him…

Victor just sighed. 'Seriously, I never thought the day would come when the one hailed as The Crimson Veil, The bloodbath Princess would act like this. Even the Sword of Nirvahnna, The Holy Paladin, the embodiment of calmness would be shaken by things like this.' Victor thought as he also remembered the day his son said his first word 'shiny'

Calir carefully activated the crystal and a small hologram of the living room they were in appeared. And in that hologram the events that happened during the last few seconds began playing.

Calir zoomed the hologram to focus on Lu and there she saw it. A vivid image of a baby struggling to escape and saying his first word. Her eyes began to water as she felt happiness in her heart. 'Mama' a simple word uttered many times in the lifetime of a child yet it carries such an impact when said for the first time.

Lu, who was struggling from his mother's hug suddenly stopped and looked up at her mother. Seeing her moistened eyes, Little Lu stopped struggling and hugged her mother back.

"M-hma?" Asked Little Lu.

"Uwaaa!" Calir couldn't control her emotions anymore and sobbed like a little girl.

"Ha~ I wish Lu could also call me Papa."

Said Chris as he stroked Lu's head. Lu turned toward him and opened his mouth to speak. "Ma!"

"Hahaha he just called you Ma as in Mama." Victor found it laughable. Chris fiercely looked at his friend wanting to kick him out of the house.

"No Lu, say Papa. Pa-pa." Calir knew how it feels to be called Mama, so she wanted Chris to feel like how it feels to be called Papa.

"Mmp-a ah"

"Oooh Lu almost got it. Hahaha say Pa-pa, Pa-pa." Chris couldn't contain his joy as he encouraged Lu.

"P-p- ahh. P-p-p

"Yes, just a little bit more." Chris stood up and was so excited. He also activated the Recording Crystal. He doesn't want to waste any moment. Calir's eyes were also sparkling in anticipation, even Victor was quiet and was paying attention. It feels like he's about to witness a historical event.

"Mah ma" Lu said after finding it difficult to say the word Papa.

"..."

"Pff! Hahaha. He just called you Mama again." Laughed Victor as he pointed his fingers at Chris.

Veins popped on Chris' forehead, he really wanted to kick out this guest.

Chris then smiled and looked at Lu before lifting him up in the air. Lu giggled non stop as he enjoyed the feeling of being lifted up high. 'I guess it's still too soon for Lu to be able to speak' they thought. Chris and Calir weren't disappointed that Lu was not able to say the word. They will never be. In fact they were proud Lu was able to say the word Mama with clarity.

"Mama, I want to do it too." Victor said in a baby voice as he teased Chris. He also spread open his arms as if waiting for Chris to carry him.

"Alright that's it!" Chris gently passes Lu to Calir before chasing after Victor who was now running. "Oi! Get back here!"

Lu watched them with innocent eyes as he laughed and clapped.

----

Time passed and the sun was now setting.

"You're really not gonna stay for dinner?" Asked Chris as Victor was boarding his Royal Carriage.

"I want to, believe me but I have to get back to the Kingdom immediately." Victor originally didn't plan to visit his friend today. But since they were going home from the Northern border, Victor decided to take a detour to the Deathless Mountains, he figured he could stop by for a moment.

The Deathless Mountains were a group of mountains that stood on the Northeast part of the continent. It's a just outside the border of the Nirvahnna Kingdom but nevertheless, the Kingdom couldn't claim it as it was part of the Neutral Territories. Neutral Territories are places that no Kingdom nor Organization can monopolize because they are too precious. An all out war would happen if any powerhouse wanted to claim such territories. It happened before and it didn't end well, so a pact was made. It dictates that it would be shared among the powerful groups across the land. The Deathless Mountains were only one one out of many Neutral Territories. It's value would be on the upper rank as it contained one of the eight forbidden forests in this world, the Hollow Forest. The mountain range is composed of Seven mountains which towered to the clouds. The Hollow Forest can be found on the Seventh mountain which was named the Hollow Mountain. The Deathless Mountain Range is also surrounded by a thick layer of fog which is both poisonous and corrosive. Only those powerful enough or desperate enough would venture here. The village Chris and Calir were residing at is at the top of the Fifth Mountain, the Smog Mountain. The deadly fog is a hundred times thicker and more potent on this mountain. Some believe that the fog which coats the Deathless Mountain Range came from the Smog Mountain.

There are also a lot of high level beasts living on the Deathless Mountain Range that's why even though Victor's powerful, he could never have the complacency to enter the mountain range alone. The Mountains were usually used to train talented assets of various organizations as it offers the perfect environment to hone and improve their skills. Mostly the First upto the Third mountain is used as a training area because from the Fourth Mountain upto the Seventh, heavenly beasts roam.

As Victor's carriage was taken into the air by four White Pegasus he looked out the window and said "The Northerners are planning something big. At this point it's still just a hunch but we can never be too careful. I believe the Ice Lord would be making his move again soon." Victor's tone was serious. His flamboyant attitude was gone and a demeanor fit for a Prince took its place. Even though Chris wasn't part of the Michaelis Household anymore he's still a citizen of the Nirvahnna Kingdom. There's also one more reason why Victor informed Chris about the Northerners, it's because he still had a 'responsibility' he needed to fulfil no matter what.

"Victor… "

"Hmm?"

"Thank yo-"

"Stop! Seriously, you're giving me goosebumps. Sheesh." Victor cut Chris before he could say thank you, saying those words would only feel like they were distant. After all the things that they've been through? Thanking was unnecessary. Chris knew that but nevertheless, he still wanted to say it. Victor brought with him news about his family as well as the Kingdom. He shared a lot of things he experienced and also brought some presents for Little Lu. Victor made Chris feel that even though he disappeared, there are still people out there waiting for him.

With that as the last exchange, Victor's group was now airborne and was already off to return to the Kingdom.

"Ice Lord" Chris' eyes sharpened as he uttered those words. His usually kind looking amber eyes now radiated coldness. 'He's probably close to making a full recovery soon or perhaps he already recovered.' Pondered Chris as he remembered the War he participated in years ago.

Chris watched Victor's carriage as it flew away into the distance. Suddenly a circular portal opened in front of Victor's group. They didn't stop and entered the portal and after everyone passed through the portal, it closed on its own and vanished as fast as it appeared.

Chris didn't worry that his location would be known, he trusted Victor that much. There's no need to mention the issue concerning Little Lu, Victor knows that it has to be kept a secret. Chris also trusts the soldiers who were with Victor. They were loyal followers of the Prince after all, which he also had some connection with. He fought together with them before when Victor was in a pinch. Chris marched to the frontlines with them while disobeying orders just to save his friend.

After Chris saw that Victor's group was gone, he turned around and saw Calir carrying a sleeping baby in her arms. Chris' eyes were now back to normal, the coldness in them was now gone as he looked at his wife and son.

"Is everything alright?" Calir asked as she felt something was bothering her husband.

"Yes, everything will be alright." Chris said as determination burned in his eyes.

Seeing this, Calir didn't probe any further and looked warmly at the baby in her arms. 'I need to get stronger' she thought. She was a warrior through and through, that small exchange had already given her some clue that something big is about to happen. Since Chris won't tell her, it's likely that it's too dangerous for them. But she wouldn't let her husband shoulder everything. She would get stronger and stand by his side. Strong enough that she could protect her family.

Calir knew that living a peaceful life would be impossible for them. Their past could come knocking at their door anytime and they might not be able to handle it as they are now. That is why she needed strength, power is the only thing that would guarantee their safety as well as Little Lu's future.

"Let's go inside, it's getting colder. Lu might catch a cold." Chris said as he took off his coat and placed it around his wife and son. He tucked the coat to cover Little Lu and as he was doing so, Little Lu unconsciously grabbed his finger.

"Pah-pa" said Little Lu as he tightened his grip around Chris' finger.

Chris' heart skipped a beat as his hand trembled, he was shookt. Even when sleeping, Little Lu is just so damn adorable! But all of a sudden, his heart that was filled with joy became chaotic! His eyes widened as dread crept into his heart. The trepidation he felt right now was far greater than what he had felt previously when learned about the Ice Lord from Victor. He checked his pockets, but it was empty! He checked his storage ring, but he didn't find what he was looking for! "Honey? What's wrong?" Calir asked as he saw the change in Chris' eyes. His joyful eyes suddenly became empty and somewhat devoid of life. Chris didn't say a word and just smiled at his wife who was looking at him as he led them to their house.

Calir smiled helplessly at the way his husband was acting. 'He's definitely sulking. It's his fault for forgetting to bring the recording crystal' she thought as she also felt annoyed at Chris for forgetting. But nevertheless, she knew Chris was definitely happy after being called Papa by Little Lu. She was happy for him as well.

'VICTOR YOU DIOT! It's all your fault I forgot to bring the recording crystal with me!' Chris screamed inwardly as he remembered how Victor burrowed the crystal earlier and made a vlog featuring his Royal Guards. Victor didn't return it to him and just placed it on the table before saying that he was leaving and returning to the Kingdom. Chris, who was carrying Little Lu at that time, got so immersed in playing with his son that it slipped out of his mind and just subconsciously followed Victor outside. As Victor was saying his goodbye he handed Little Lu to Calir because Victor said he had something to discuss with him.

Chris and Calir always carry a recording crystal with them so they could capture every moment they had with Little Lu. They even placed recording crystals around the house just in case they missed something. It also served as a security of some sort. Calir's recording crystal which she used earlier was already stored in a safe place so the crystal wouldn't be damaged accidentally. It was hidden inside a safe with the rest of her Ultra Rare Little Lu Moments collections. She was going to get a new one tomorrow that's why she didn't have one right now. And Chris' own recording crystal was left inside the house.

"Honey… " Chris suddenly spoke.

"Hmm?" [C]

"I think we need to place some recording crystal outside just in case something happened to your garden." [Ch]

"... Y-you're right" [C]

"Yes. We should place about twenty crystals out here in the front yard and also maybe a couple more at the back. Right?" [Ch]

"..." [C]

"You know what, let's just put crystals around the perimeter of the house. What have we got to lose? Right? [Ch]

"Hmm… money?" [C]

"..."

'Curse you Victor! Curse youu!!!' Chris screamed inwardly. He didn't want to wake up Little Lu. It was a once in a lifetime event that he would never be able to show off for everyone to see, it was a pity he didn't manage to record it but it didn't matter. That moment would burn in his mind as well as his heart for as long as he breathed.

-----

Up in the clouds, inside a Royal Carriage that's being pulled by winged pegasi.

*achooo!

"Hmm. Someone's talking about me." Said Victor as he wiped his nose. *Sigh 'I wonder who's the poor soul that's talking about this beautiful Prince right now. Being too charming is such a sin. Don't worry o peasant who's name I do not know. I shall grace you soon with my presence' and with a smirk on his lips, Victor closed his eyes as he rested while guessing the identity of the person talking about him.

-----

"I'm gonna kick his ass the next time I see him!" Exclaimed Chris as he clenched his fist after Calir closed the door of Little Lu's room.

"Shut.the.hell.up! You might wake up Lu." Calir's pitch black eyes stared coldly at Chris as she uttered those words.

Chris felt cold sweats rolling down on his back as he immediately covered his mouth.

Four years and 3 months later.

An adorable looking 5 year old boy can be seen happily walking toward a wooden house on top of a small hill. He had a head full of silky red hair and big innocent amber looking eyes. The boy also had some abstruse pattern on the back of his hands. It was Lucian. He just finished playing with his friends and was heading home for lunch. Little Lu was skipping while carrying a stick he picked up on the road. Villagers greeted the boy as he passed by their houses and some of the children also waved at him as they went home. Little Lu of course waved back as he showed a radiant smile. "Let's play again later."

It didn't take long before Little Lu arrived home. He pushed the door open and said.

"Mama, Papa I'm home"
