On a bright sunny day a little boy could be seen walking through the village. He had a head full of silky red hair. His amber eyes were clear and looked innocent. But the most striking feature of the little boy were the tattoos engraved in the back of his chubby hands. They looked faded but one could tell that the tattoos were special in a glance. He was smiling brightly while he looked at the world excitedly. After a while of walking the little boy encountered a villager who was carrying different baskets. On his back, shoulders, and a smaller one on each hand.

"Hey if it isn't Little Lu, where are you off to?" Said by a middle aged man in a farmer's get up. He has a medium build but muscular body.

"I'm not little. I'm going to play with my friends today." replied by the boy.

The man was brightly smiling at the little boy but in contrast to his warm approach was the huge crimson bull with a black mane, it towered over the man and was standing beside him obediently. Its black horns were massive and some flares of fire could be seen dancing on it from time to time. "Hahaha yes yes you're not little. Do you want some star berries?" Asked the man as he patted the boy's head.

"Really? Thank you Uncle Bran." Little Lu excitedly said.

'It's Brian though' thought the man as he handed a basket full of berry looking fruits to Little Lu. Lu only took a handful and put it in his pocket. Brian was surprised. 'Wasn't this his favorite fruit?' "You can take the whole basket Lu."

"It's okay Uncle Ben. You can give the rest to Barak so he can feel better soon. And then we can play again" Little Lu said as he looked at the huge bull. He patted its legs and the bull happily mooed. It bent its knees then licked Little Lu all over. "Ew hahaha Barak stop hahaha" giggled the little boy. He thanked the man, waved goodbye and then continued walking.

'Wha- How did he know Barak wasn't feeling good?' Thought Brian.

Brian was the village's farmer and he's also a beast tamer. Barak is an Earth Calamity Rank beast with an Emperor Class Bloodline, the very first beast he ever tamed. The huge bull has been with him all his life and they have established a strong connection through the years. The bull was a naturally aggressive beast but it turns into a complete puppy whenever it plays with Little Lu.

'Also it's Brian though' *sigh.'I guess little kids could be so intuitive sometimes' thought Brian as put his surprise behind the back of his mind and smiled at the departing figure of the boy.

After a while Lu encountered another villager.

"Luuu!" Called out by a middle aged woman with blonde hair and a thicc body. She has a blindfold covering her eyes yet it seems that didn't stop her from seeing.

"Auntie Jane!" Little Lu ran towards her straight into her arms. "Aw~ You're so cute Lu!" Said Auntie Jane as she smothered Little Lu on her bosoms.

"I-I can't breathe Auntie Jane" Little Lu said as he struggled to separate from her.

"Hehe sorry I can't help myself. You're just too cute! Oh right, here take this" Auntie Jane let go of the poor boy as she reached for her pocket to get something.

"Wooow" exclaimed Little Lu as he saw a circular golden object on her hand. But soon his surprise was replaced by confusion. "What is it?" He asked.

"This is a gold coin. You can use it to buy or trade for anything that you like." Auntie Jane explained. Coins aren't the currency in this village, it follows a simple trading system. Goods were used to get other goods. The village is situated in a remote and dangerous place so money was the least the villagers worry about.

"Anything that I like?" Little Lu's eyes sparkled as he stared at the gold coin. He held the gold coin with curiosity and excitement. "Yes" Auntie Jane smiled as she replied.

"Thank you Auntie Jane" the boy hugged the middle aged woman's legs as he was too short to give her a proper hug. Auntie Jane crouched down again and smothered Little Lu again in her bosoms.

After waving goodbye to Auntie Jane, Lu encountered more villagers who kept giving him stuff, mostly food. Lu used his shirt as a makeshift basket to carry all the things he recieve. This was a daily occurrence in the village, whenever Little Lu was out for a stroll, the villagers would always give him something if they saw him. The villagers weren't doing it out of respect for his father, the village chief, they're doing it because they wanted to, or maybe something inside them just couldn't resist giving him something, or rather offering him something?

Lu walked all the way until he was on the outskirts of the village and eventually arrived in front of a big tree. It was huge and was brimming with life. The leaves on its branches vary from evergreen leaves to orange, to red, yellow and purple and some pink even blossomed at the top and was decorated by different kinds of colorful flowers. Long vines hang down on its branches, thick enough to support a grown man but the most striking feature of this tree were the different kinds of fruits on its branches. The Season Tree, one of the many unique and magnificent things that can be found in this world. Just like how its name implies, the Season Tree bore different fruits all year round depending on the season. But there is a time when the tree bares all different kinds of fruit at the same time. It's the time between Fall and Winter season. And it's that time of the year right now at the village.

A huge hole at the top of the thick tree can also be found. It seems to be a nest made by a huge creature. Little Lu called out "Big brother Gin!"

Suddenly a vine was thrown out of the huge hole and a boy that's about eight years old climbed down from the hole. The boy had short pitch black hair paired with red eyes and a small sword can be seen hanging from his waist. The boy's features were sharp but there was still some baby fat on his face. Gin was the son of the local blacksmith in the village. His father only had one arm left yet he still makes the best equipment.

"Big brother, look at what everyone gave me today" said Little Lu excitedly as he showed off his collection. "Woah there's even a graff bread." Exclaimed Gin as he marveled at the sight of his favorite food. "Two graff bread" added Little Lu with cheer as he took another one out from underneath the pile. Gin was speechless "Two?! Grandpa James is known for being stingy yet he always gives Lu some bread"

"It's because I'm a good boy hehe" said Little Lu but that only made Gin speechless again. 'You're the troublemaker in the village though' he thought.

Little Lu and Gin split up the loot and carried them in their shirt as a makeshift basket. They bit the end of the shirt to prevent the goods from falling down and climbed up the rope towards the hole. When Little Lu looked up at the hole he saw a small head popping out. Its emerald eyes were peeking at them, Little Lu waved at that sight but it immediately hid inside the hole. When they arrived inside the hole three more children greeted them. The inside was quite spacious and it was naturally decorated by leafy vines that grew on the tree. Some artificial decorations can also be found and anyone could guess that they were done by the children. There are three smaller holes inside that were used as bunk beds as there were pillows and blankets that had been arranged neatly. The holes were small and could only fit children inside.

There were two girls and a boy waiting at hole. One of the girls seemed to be the same age as Gin. She had long blonde hair that curled at the bottom paired with blue eyes. Her name is Mary, she's the daughter of the local healer in the village, an excommunicated priest. The Father and daughter were a recent addition to the village, they settled here four years ago. The other girl was the smallest of the bunch. She seemed to be a bit younger than Little Lu and a bit timid. She has short pure white hair with big green eyes and pointy ears. That's right, she's a pureblooded elf and was the most recent resident of the village. Luna, the only elf in the village was brought in by Old Beth a year ago after she climbed down from the mountain. Old Beth saved the poor girl from some slave traders and it turns out the little girl doesn't remember anything even her name so Old Beth took her in after noticing that she has talent. Lastly, a boy named Noah, nothing much could be said for him as he has the plainest look. Black hair with grey eyes but if you look closely you would realize that the boy is blind. He's a year younger than Gin and Mary and he's actually Aunty Jane's nephew. The two seeked refuge in the village two years before Little Lu was born.

"It seems like you got quite a lot again Lu" said Mary as she helped Lu and Gin arrange the various food on a small table in the middle. After that she took Noah's hand and guided him to the table. Luna also followed, sticking closely to Mary. After arranging, the children all gathered around the table but they left a space, it seems like they were still expecting others. "Oooiii. I'm back" and not long after a call was heard outside.

Gin stood up to get the vine that they used to climb up. Little Lu peeked outside. "It's Leah!" Said Little Lu to the others. Gin then threw the rope outside.

Outside, a barefooted girl about the same age as Lu was carrying a small barrel. She has a wild look with messy short black hair paired with golden eyes and canine fangs could be seen whenever she opened her mouth.

Leah quickly caught the rope and tied the barrel with it. She then jumped on the barrel as Little Lu and the others pulled. Not long after, the others managed to pull her in.

"What took you so long?" Asked Gin as he carried the barrel towards the table. To his surprise it was quite heavy. 'What a brute' he thought as he looked at the barely sweating Leah who carried it all the way here.

"I had to take a detour to not get caught." Leah said.

"Caught?" Everyone asked as they wondered "Why would anyone catch you for bringing water?"

"Hehe that's not water." Leah said in a mischievous manner. "She's right it smells sweet!" Exclaimed Gin as he opened the lid of the barrel. After he opened it a strong fragrant exploded and everyone became dazed. Their mouths watered and their thirst intensified. They gulped down while staring at the crystal clear golden liquid inside the barrel.

"Leah, did you steal from Grandpa Kyle again? How did you even manage to find his stash of Tonic Nectar?" Asked Mary as she put her hands on her hips.

"B-Big sis don't be angry. It wasn't from Grandpa Kyle" protested Leah. She looked like a scared cat at the moment. "I found it in the woods today."

"The woods?! You went out again?!" Exclaimed Mary.

"Wait, you just found this lying in the middle of the woods?" Asked Gin skeptically.

"That's right!" Leah said nervously. "Stop lying" Countered Gin as he suspiciously stared at the now sweating little girl.

Everyone else also silently started staring at her which in the end caused her to break. "I-I guess it might have had an owner. B-but it's their f-fault for just leaving it out there in the open. Something might've happened to it! An animal could have taken it instead. That's right! If some animal were to take it that would be bad so I just...just...anyway! I only took it for safekeeping." Leah said in a flustered yet confident way.

"Right an animal could've taken it. I guess that's why it's here." Said Gin in a sarcastic way which made Leah's eyebrows twitch but she didn't say anything. "Right safekeeping, like let's keep it safe in our bellies. That kind of safekeeping." Gin continued.

"That's righ-" Leah almost answered immediately but understanding immediately dawned on her and she instantly covered her mouth.

Everyone just stared speechless at the wild looking girl even the blind Noah, except for one. "Leah's right we should keep this safe." Said Little Lu valiantly as he took a wooden cup and slowly poured some of the sweet delicious nectar in it in front of everyone. But before he could drink it a hand grasped his head. "Lu… " said Mary as she smiled brightly at the boy. "That doesn't belong to us. So we can't drink it"

"But last time Big Sister Mary's the one who almost finished the whole barrel." Said Lu innocently.

"T-that's because I didn't know Leo and Leah stole it from Grandpa Kyle so… so anyway this is different." Said Mary as she blushed because of embarrassment. "We don't know where it came from. For all we know it could be poisoned." She continued but seriousness could be noticed in her tone.

"Mary's right Lu. We might not come out here with just a few scolding." Gin added. He seemed to be on the same page as Mary but his actions speak otherwise because he was already holding a cup full of nectar.

He was about to drink when suddenly his ears were pulled by Mary. "Ow! Ow! Ow! That hurts!"

"Didn't I just say that it could be poisoned? Are you even listening? Huh?"

"Ow! I heard you that's why I'm testing it just in case it's poisoned!"

'What kind of logic is that?' Thought the blind Noah. He can't see but his sense of hearing and smell are good so he could still understand what's happening.

"..." Luna just silently looked at everything that's  happening.

"And what do you think would happen to you if it's poisoned? Just so you know Father isn't at the village right now and Grandma Beth is in seclusion so no one is going to save you if you get poisoned." Mary continued.

"Eh?" Gin's eyes widened at that news. He was only confident in drinking something that could be poisoned because of Mary's father and Old Beth. Mary's father was a high level priest that could cure poison using high level spells. Gin already witnessed it with his own eyes as Mary's father cured a villager who got poisoned after being in contact with a Purple Swamp Orchid, a very poisonous plant. There's also Old Beth who wasn't only proficient in Necromancy but also very skilled in medicine. Gin gulped down and slowly poured the nectar back in the barrel and after that he sealed it again using the lid. A kid is still a kid. No matter how mature they become while living in this dangerous place they will still do dumb things.

"We have to return this." Said Mary as she looked at everyone.

"Eh?" Said Leah.

"Why?" Asked Little Lu.

"Stop complaining, we could all get in trouble for this. The adults might also make us clean the… the Slug pit."

"Noo! Anything but that!" "Yuck, I don't want to clean that pit again." *bleergh

All the children agreed at that point.

"Leah lead the way. Lu, Luna and Noah, you three stay here."

"But-

"No buts Lu. The forest is dangerous and you might get lost." said Mary. She was aware of how curious Little Lu could get. He was even more handful than Leah but atleast Little Lu listens unlike Leah.

"But Leah's going" said Little Lu while pouting.

"Hehe"

"Stop laughing. I'll tell Uncle Nell later that you went into the forest again."

Gah! "P-please don't Big sis. Father's going to lock me in the house if he finds out!"

"But if I don't then you would venture out again! Remember what happened to Leo!"

"That guy's an idiot and provoked a nest of wildebees that's why he got stung. I'm only taking a stroll in the woods." Defended Leah but it seems Mary didn't hear her. Nope she just flat out ignored the wild girl's cry for mercy.
