Chapter 17: Peaceful day?!

After returning to class, all girls started reading through their books with interest. Since there was not much he could do there and he could answer their questions later, Seth stood up and walked out of the classroom.

While thinking about how he could mess with Maya again, he passed by classroom ten. An idea came to him and, after using creation energy to make an empty book, he knocked on the door again.

“You can just call me Seth. Teacher Seth is a mouthful,” said Seth with a smile, to which Hollie replied politely: “You can call me Hollie as well. I don’t mind.”

Seth nodded and asked while pushing the book toward her: “I wonder if you will be interested in some notes I have about your lecture.”

Hollie raised an eyebrow before bringing a chair with her air energy from the class and sitting down in front of the desk. When she was about to pick up the book, Seth said: “I trust that whatever is written inside would not be added to the compendium. You can still add them to your lecture with ease.”

Seeing her nod, Seth removed his hand and waited for her to read a few pages. Hollie moved her long hair behind her ears so it won’t get in the way and started reading. “We’ll have some food in the city, maybe walk around and visit some places before returning. Nothing like what you’re worried about.”

“That’s fine with me, but why?”

“Because I’m afraid you will eventually go blind if you only spend your time reading books. You need to get out of the house some more.” He knew she only spent her time in class and her room, reading through compendium books, so while he was having some other interest, he still felt like she really needed some time away from her books.

“Alright. Deal.” Said Hollie while extending her slim hand for a handshake.

“Deal.” Replied Seth as he shook her hand back.

“Since you made a lot of mistakes on your foundation, I will have to be there when you break through. This way I can use my destruction energy to make sure nothing bad happens during the process.”

“How would you do that?” asked Hollie, not understanding how destruction would help stabilize her source in case it was about to explode.

“Destruction energy is a lot more complicated than you would expect. Just trust me, while the chances are low, it would be a shame if anything happened.” He needed creation energy as well but didn’t tell her that.

Hollie nodded and said: “When are we doing it? I already filled the fourth shell to the brim with air energy.”

The headmistress nodded, and they both headed for the teacher’s dormitory. When they reached the door, Seth turned towards the headmistress and made an embarrassed expression as he said: “Do you mind if I go in first? I think I left some underwear lying around.”

Seth grabbed the book he had placed strategically on the table before handing it to her. The headmistress skimmed through before nodding and saying: “Looks like the real deal. I’ll read it at home. Now, let me do some more experiments.”

Seth sighed and asked: “Do you mind if I sit down as well?”

Seeing her nod, he laid down on the bed, keeping some distance from her, and summoned a ball of destruction energy, letting her do her thing as he closed his eyes and focused on cultivating.

Two hours later, as he was already losing his patience, there was a small knock on the door. Frowning, he wondered who it was, and he stood up to open the door when he heard a rattling sound from the lock.

Realization hit him and he sat back down, getting ready for when the two forces of nature would meet.
