Chapter 20: Purification and… cuddling?!

Hollie clenched her teeth even harder and nodded softly as Seth started releasing some strands of destruction energy, slowly moving it to wipe off the impurities inside her source.

After his destruction energy activated, a small grunt escaped Hollie’s throat, but she didn’t move a single inch.

Seth had nothing he could do about that and only continued destroying the impurities formed from foreign energies and pieces of the previous shells that didn’t break evenly as fast as he could to not prolong her torment.

‘Show me the internal organs.’

Seth frowned and paused his destruction of the impurities for a moment before adding some time and space energies into the mix as well. Using the two energies, he started stopping any internal laceration from bleeding using his time energy while also teleporting any blood that got leaked inside her body to the outside. Being done with the internal bleeding, for now, he immediately got back to cleansing the source.

‘Ah, doing this without help is a pain…’

It took over 20 minutes before he cleansed the insides of the source completely. He could hear constant pained grunts coming from Hollie throughout the entire process, but she held on and didn’t move at all.

He didn’t have the heart to tell her that was just the simple part.

Moving his eyes to the corrupted shells, he started with the fifth shell first. Destroying any part of it that was corrupted slowly, he said: “Start gathering air energy back inside as fast as you can. Now that the errors in your knowledge have been fixed, this should keep other impurities from getting attracted by the corrupted shells.”

Seeing air energy gathering back inside, Seth started building back the destroyed part of the shell. After one more hour, he got a worrisome new notification from the system.

‘Damn it.’ Seth swore in his mind, but there was nothing he could do about it. Covering her source with an extra layer of destruction energy, he started destroying any other energy heading to her source besides air energy himself.

When he reached the ninth and last shell, he was losing his concentration, already having made a mistake on the eighth shell, and had to freeze even more wounds because of it. Multi-tasking four extremely complicated procedures at the same time was difficult, even for him. He had to get rid of the impurities in the shells while also helping the destroyed parts heal. He also had to fix any internal damage she might sustain while stopping other impurities from getting inside.

‘I won’t be able to finish like this. Fuck.’

Gritting his teeth, he could only reduce his workload slightly. Feeling deep inside his soul, he released his divinity for a brief second, sending a shock-wave of destruction energy that wiped any trace of any kind of energy for over ten miles around her body.

Ignoring the trace of blood that was falling out of his mouth, he continued with the ninth shell.

“It’s done.” Exclaimed Seth half an hour later while retracting all the energies inside her body besides the time one and falling flat on his back.

‘That’s acceptable.’ Said Seth as he wiped the blood from the corner of his lips and went to check on Hollie.

When he reached in front of her, he was terrified as well as impressed by what he saw. Hollie’s face was contorted in pain, with dried blood trails out of her ears, eyes, nose, and mouth. Her nails had deeply penetrated her arms, reaching the bone, but with all that, her entire body had not moved a single inch. Even passed out like she was now, her body stood there, frozen solid.

“I did not let you down…” whispered Seth as he gently touched the wounds on her arms.

“How I wish I had someone who could use life energy for the procedure.”, said Seth softly as he started slowly directing life energy from the atmosphere inside her body himself.

After three hours, Hollie looked like he was about to wake up, but Seth stopped her by using time energy to freeze her brain. He continued slowly healing her and was barely done at around noon the next day. Heaving a sigh of relief, he lay down on the ground and retracted all the time energy from her body.

He was done but was too exhausted to stay awake, so he directly closed his eyes and fell asleep.

In the evening, as Seth woke up, he found Hollie was already up and playing with a small tornado atop her hand.

“How are you?” asked Seth, startling Hollie and causing her to cancel her energy and look at him.

Surprising Seth, she bowed her head towards him and said: “Thank you. I don’t know what you did and how you did it, but I can imagine it wasn’t easy for you either, so I will make sure to never forget this favor. To answer your question, I feel better than I ever felt in my life.”

Seth smiled slightly at her words and was happy to see a trace of life in her usually dead eyes once more. When he knew her in his past timeline, her eyes would always look somewhat lifeless, not once having seen them contain so much energy in them. Too bad that her face was still indifferent, not a trace of a smile similar to the one he saw on Maya’s face when she broke through.

“You’re welcome. You did well to hang on for so long as well. Are you ready to break through your shell as well?”

Hollie nodded and said nothing else before sitting down with her back towards him and lifting her blouse. She didn’t ask how her hands had recovered; she didn’t ask why some old scars on her body were gone; she didn’t ask about anything. She knew that if he wanted to, he would tell her. If he didn’t want to, she would still trust him.

Ever since she woke up and noticed him sleeping completely exhausted, with blood at the corner of his lips, she already guessed that he must have also paid a price to help her.

Breaking through her fifth shell went on with ease, Seth easily taking care of any problems. Compared to the cleansing, it was a walk in the park. He also had her drink a mixed vial since her source was quite unstable because of the impurities removal procedure before.

They were both lying down on the mountaintop and looking at the night sky when Seth asked: “Hollie, did your source creation theory comes from the compendium?”

“Yes.” Replied Hollie, wondering why he would ask about it before finally realizing what he meant: “Are the others the same?”

Seth nodded toward Hollie and said: “Probably.”

“Are you going to help them as well?”

“Wha…” Hollie was about to ask him what he meant when she felt a cluster of air energy approach.

Not even a few seconds later, the headmistress appeared in the sky above, looking at the two laying on the grass with a raised eyebrow.

“What the hell are you two doing?”

Seth chuckled and looked at Iris and said: “We were just admiring the night sky. Does the headmistress want to join us as well?”

“You’ve been missing for two days without a single word about where you’re going. Do you think that’s a behavior a teacher of the academy should have?”

“Headmistress, it’s my fault. I had teacher Seth here help me with something.” Said Hollie from the side.

“Don’t even make me start with you, Hollie. Move your asses back to the academy.” Said the headmistress, before storming away.

When he wanted to unlock his door, he was surprised to see it was open. Walking inside, he found Maya sleeping in her underwear on his bed.

Smiling to himself, he closed the door slowly and walked up to her. Seeing her appetizing ass in front of him, he couldn’t abstain and directly bit into it.

“Kyaa.” Maya jumped up like she was electrocuted and looked back with a wronged look while massaging the place he had just bitten.

“That’s what you get for entering my room and even pretending you were asleep in my bed.”

Hearing his sincere tone, Maya smiled and said: “Can I sleep here tonight? I’m too lazy to go back to my room.”

Later in the night, Seth felt Maya moving her head on his chest and he opened his eyes. Looking at her pretending to sleep again, Seth said: “You know, you don’t have to pretend you are asleep if you want to hug me.”

Maya slapped his belly and said: “Why can’t you just shut up?”

“And watch you take advantage of me like this?”

Maya lifted her head and bit into his chest.

“Okay, okay. I’ll not say anything more.”, added Seth right away, afraid she would bite off a piece of him.

Maya let go with a wide smile and rested on his chest again. Playing with a finger on his chest, she asked: “What did you do with Hollie?”

“Are you jealous?” asked Seth with a chuckle.

Maya shook her head and said: “No, just curious. I know she doesn’t care about anything else besides her books and cultivation.”

“Oh, and do you care about anything else?”

Maya fell silent. She wondered about it herself.

Lifting her head to look up, he saw Seth smiling at her. Pushing herself up, she grazed her lips against his and said: “I don’t know.”, before opening her mouth and kissing him passionately.

Since she was only wearing her lingerie, Seth easily moved one hand across her back and grabbed hold of her perky ass while answering her kiss in full.

As the kiss got even more heated, Maya moved her hand downwards as well but hesitated when she reached the belt of his pants.

Breaking apart the kiss, slightly short of breath, she looked into his eyes and bit on her lower lip.

“Seth, I really don’t know.”

Seth could see a trace of lust and confusion in her eyes. He didn’t even need to use his lust source to know what she was feeling right now. Smiling softly, he removed his hand from her behind and said: “There’s no rush.”
