Chapter 44: Tiana Weiss

Seth kept walking through the middle ring of the city, his footsteps leading him to the market. He could see an increase in Necros’s people all around, probably because of all the things that kept getting stolen from his vault.

He ignored the atmosphere as he browsed the various stalls, but found nothing that attracted his sight. There were mostly different food ingredients, plants, ores, clothes, and other stuff like that. Not only he didn’t have any interest in them, but he could also create most of them himself.

He noticed a minor argument at one stall when he was about to leave. Arguments were common in the marketplace, but this one attracted his attention because one participant was a kid, no older than 10, fighting over a gold coin with one of the guards.

Making his way there, he walked to the two and asked: “What is the problem?”

“It’s none of your business, step away.” said the guard without even giving Seth a look before kicking the kid that had curled into a fetal position, protecting the coin from being taken by the guard.

Seth raised an eyebrow as destruction energy escaped his body, attracting the attention of the entire market, and he said: “Since when did guards, not even ones belonging to the royal family, dared to speak to an ascended like that.”

The guard was terrified and fell to his knees in front of Seth: “Please calm your anger, ascended sir. I was not aware of your status. I wouldn’t dare.”

Seth scoffed and pulled his energy back inside his source as he looked at the two. “Don’t make me repeat myself.”

“T-this kid had stolen a gold coin and tried to use it in the market. I was about to confiscate it and try to find the victim of the theft so I can return it.”

Seth wouldn’t believe the guard, even if the system confirmed it. Speaking about the system, Seth asked it to give him a brief description of the incident.

‘Really? He can’t be that stupid to try to use a gold coin while looking like that. What did you miss?’

<… the coin had fallen from a merchant’s pocket and he swiftly pocketed it. He had never stolen or used a golden coin before, so he didn’t know that would attract a lot of attention. >

‘So he’s just an idiot? And here I thought it was something interesting.’

Sighing, Seth just threw one gold coin towards the guard and said: “Consider the coin recovered and look the other way. Next time I find you beating up a child, I will kill you.”

Having lost interest in the situation, Seth turned around and walked away.

<Why did host hand that coin over? You could have just pressured him into looking the other way without having to do that. >

‘It looks better like this. Plus, that gold was not mine either, was it?’

Replied Seth with a smile forming at the corner of his lips and he walked out of the marketplace. He kept strolling around, going through the outer ring as well, before finally returning to the academy.

There, he found Iris waiting for him in front of his building.

“How can I help you, headmistress?” asked Seth, ignoring the angry look on her face.

“How come you’re never in the academy? What am I even paying you for? You even caused trouble again in the city.”

“Damn, news got around fast. You pay me to teach students and that’s what I’m doing. Did you forget I already have three ascended in my class?” replied Seth as he moved past her and opened the door.

Iris followed him in, where there was only Henrietta reading through a book. She was excited at first, but when she saw Iris, her excitement died down as she sat up and bowed politely.

“Protector.”

Iris nodded and looked at the empty classroom before asking: “Where are the others? Even your students are missing classes?”

Seth sighed and sat down behind the desk before looking toward Henrietta. “Sit down.”

Turning towards Iris, he asked: “Did you cause here to look for trouble or what? My students are in the practice room and, as far as I’m aware, how one teaches his students is not the academy’s business as long as results are produced.”

Iris didn’t answer and sat down at a desk, not that far from Henrietta, and asked with her cheeks reddening: “Did you help Maya break through?”

Seth stared silently into Iris’s eyes for a long moment before shaking his head. “I have no knowledge of air or fire theory past the sixth shell.”

Iris sighed and nodded before throwing a small bag of coins at him: “I only brought you the pay. Try to stop slacking off.”. She then stood up and walked out the door.

Seth watched her rush out of the room and heaved a long sigh. He knew her years of accumulation were enough for her to breakthrough, but he couldn’t give her that knowledge yet.

Henrietta watched his expression after listening to the brief conversation and muttered absentmindedly: “He knows..”

Seth raised an eyebrow and looked at Henrietta, causing the poor girl to turn bright red: “I-I-I…”. She didn’t even know what to say.

“I do indeed have that knowledge, but I will never give such a powerful weapon to someone who is not loyal to me if I had a choice.”

Henrietta nodded and looked back into her book, her heart beating wildly.

Seth ignored the girl as he set his feet on his desk and closed his eyes to cultivate. The rest of the morning went on peacefully and at noon, there was a knock on the door.

A properly dressed woman with average proportions and light brown curly hair walked in. She was quite average in terms of looks, but not exactly enough to be called ugly.

She bowed towards Seth and said in a calm tone: “I head teacher Seth has helped other teachers with their problems. I was wondering if I could ask some questions as well.”

Seth hasn’t met this teacher before, so he first asked the system for a quick profile.

“Can you tell me what problem you have?”

Tiana created a small flame atop her hand and said: “I’ve tried changing the density of the energy according to the books I’ve found in the compendium, written by the headmistress, but I seem to do something wrong. As teacher Seth can see, my flame’s temperature barely changes no matter how I change the flame’s density.”

Seth frowned as he looked at her flame for quite a long time in silence. Shaking his head, he sighed and pretended to grab something from under the desk. As he bent down, he created a fire energy book quickly and muttered softly: “What a simple question. Is she really that stupid?”, he also made sure she would hear his muttering.

As he checked her aura, he noticed a small amount of green appearing, the gray extending slightly, but there was also quite a lot of pink appearing out of nowhere.

Preventing himself from smiling, he stood back up and opened the book to a specific page before turning it towards her without saying a single word.

Tiana stood up and bent down to look at whatever he was pointing at, careful to avoid looking into his eyes. As she was reading, Seth fixed his eyes on her average chest and sighed again.

Tiana blushed and picked on her blouse to hide her chest as she tried to ignore his sigh, but Seth could see the pink, gray, and green in her aura extending and slowly covering the blue side. Disgust, shame, and lust.

‘What an easy source of lust energy she is, but it seems I would have to change my approach…’

After letting her read for a moment, he asked: “Do you want me to explain it further?”

Tiana’s face turned even redder as she shook her head and stopped reading. “No need, thank you very much. I’m leaving.”

Without even looking up from the book, she turned towards the door. Seth could see her aura flaring and watched her walking away.

‘She actually looks quite fun. Let’s push her a bit.’

Seeing her about to touch the door’s handle, Seth said in a commanding tone: “Stop.”

Tiana froze with her hand in midair and didn’t turn back as she asked in a trembling voice: “Yes?”

“What about my payment?” asked Seth in the same commanding tone, enjoying the sight of her aura changing. He could see her submissive personality pushing her pink aura to higher levels.

“I-I didn’t know. W-What would teacher Seth have me do?”

“First turn around. Don’t you think you’re being too disrespectful to not even look at me while I’m speaking to you?”

Tiana nodded weakly and slowly turned around with her head lowered. Her knees were shaking slightly and he could see her face was bright red.

“Look at me.”, said Seth, his tone becoming even stronger.

Tiana trembled and looked up, her face as red as a tomato and her eyes glazed over with tears forming at their corners. He could see even her eyes were trembling, as she was forced to keep eye contact.

“Come closer.”

Tiana’s body shook again, and she slowly made her way closer to him, her footsteps slow, as she was trying to buy herself as much time as she could.

Seth stared at her, saying nothing else, his eyes slowly passing by all her womanly features. The situation was incredibly awkward for even him, but he enjoyed seeing her aura spiking frantically.

Tiana kept staring at his face, unsure of what to do.

She wanted to look away, but her eyes were attracted to his, like a moth to a flame.
She wanted to leave, but her feet won’t listen to her. They were no longer under her control and were only obeying Seth’s orders.
She was a fly caught in Seth’s web.

Once her underwear was completely drenched as her pink aura was blinding him, Seth shook his head and said: “Forget about it for now. Go home.”

Tiana trembled again and lowered her head before turning to walk out when Seth said: “Tomorrow come here again at noon. You can at least do that, can’t you?”

Nodding weakly, Tiana walked out and rushed out the door. She didn’t even know why she agreed or why she should come tomorrow as well. She just wanted to get out and change her clothes.

“Damn, she’s hot…” muttered Seth, finding it quite exciting to see her reactions. It was like he found something new he never knew he needed.

Turning towards the storage room door, he said: “You can come out now.”

Henrietta opened the door with a weird look on her face and asked: “Why were you so harsh with her?”

“Because she likes it.” Replied Seth as he put his feet on the desk and closed his eyes.

Henrietta didn’t understand and took her seat back at the desk. Two more teachers came that day, but Seth just gave them some tips as usual and sent them away.
