Chapter 71: Secrets laid bare. Wordy night between a teacher and a god.

Seth was sitting at the desk inside his classroom at the academy. His eyes were closed, and he just sat there silently, seemingly waiting for something, or someone.

Not even ten minutes after he had returned from the forest, there was a slight knock on the door.

Seth smiled and stood up, walking to open the door. On the other side of the door, just as it opened, a red-faced and sweaty Tiana looked up at him, her eyes somewhat restless.

Noticing her hesitation, Seth chuckled and brought her into her arms, hugging her tightly. A subtle smile appeared on Tiana's lips as she rested her head on Seth's shoulder and hugged him back.

"I missed you.", said Tiana once free, a trace of passion in her eyes.

Seth rubbed her hair and smiled back at her. "I miss you too, but we must talk about something first. Come in."

After Tiana nodded, Seth turned around, and she followed him inside. Once Seth sat down at his desk, Tiana remained standing, her hands roaming in front of her body, not finding their place.

This made Seth chuckle as he said gently: "Sit down, Tiana. We have something important to speak about. The fun can wait until later."

Tiana nodded, looking somewhat disappointed, and dragged a chair in front of the desk to sit down.

Seth quickly explained his plan to her, the reasoning for his choice to leave the kingdom, and so on.

Tiana listened through everything and simply nodded back once Seth's speech was over. "Yes, I am coming as well, but can I get some time to say goodbye to my students?"

Seth frowned and lowered his head to think. 'System, how are things with the other families?'

<The Ashley Family has agreed to the migration and is already silently making arrangements for departure.>
<Unfortunately, The Oconner Family is still leaning toward remaining here. Even with host's demonstration and Lisa's efforts, Saif has decided to take his chances with the royals.>

'What a stubborn fool that man is. Lisa?'

Seth lifted his head and sighed before saying: "We'll probably leave tomorrow evening. If you want to say goodbye to your students, you can, but you must make sure you don't mention where you're leaving and why. It would be best to keep your departure vague in front of them, telling them you need some time to cultivate in silence or something like that. We can't have Iris figuring out our plan, or she might stop us."

"Are you sure we can do it? Iris is scary strong…"

Seth leaned forward on the desk, his eyes taking on a sharp look as he asked: "Do you doubt my ability?"

Tiana shuddered and lowered her eyes, shaking her head with a red face.

"Good. Be ready tomorrow evening and wait for me with Maya in my room. If you're a good girl, you might be rewarded later."

Tiana nodded and rubbed her knees together while biting on her lower lip. Seth saw she wanted to do something more, but he was busy today.

With her return, it was about time to add the finishing touches to his departure.

After the unsatisfied Tiana left, Seth teleported back to his room, where

Maya was cultivating like usual. He informed her of his plan to depart tomorrow and told her to speak to that earth ascended she was bringing south.

He also informed everyone else that they would depart in the late evening of the next day. Leora, Henrietta, and Caitlin were already prepared to leave anytime. The Howell and Ashley families also said they would be ready by the next day's evening.

After taking Aleena back from the forest to the library and telling her to prepare, he was left with only one issue. The Oconner family.

The two felt a cold chill through their spines as Saif's dick went limp, and Julie became as dry as a desert in an instant.

'I guess this new ability is not that useless after all.'

Saif stopped his movement and looked down, completely flabbergasted by the sudden impotence coming out of nowhere, but then he felt something and turned around.

His heart sank when his eyes landed on Seth, that had appeared inside his room. He knew by the smile on his face and the late-night visit that things were about to turn ugly.

Julie also saw Seth, and shrieked loudly, covering herself in a panic using a sheet. The dome of destruction blocked her scream from being heard outside the room.

Ignoring the panicking Julie, Seth's eyes remained fixed on Saif as he said: "I already tried playing nice, but it seems you take me for a fool."

Seth barely finished his words when the space around Saif fluctuated, and he appeared standing in front of Seth, his neck grasped tightly in Seth's hand.

Saif tried to speak, a panicked expression on his face, but because of Seth's firm hold, no words came out of his mouth. He realized that, at that moment, he was entirely at Seth's mercy.

Julie could see how her husband's face was slowly turning purple and his feet started shaking, so she panicked and sat up.

Dragging the sheet she used to cover herself, she came down from the bed and fell on her knees in front of Seth.

Her head lowered, not daring to look up, she said: "Please, calm your fury and spare my husband, ascended Seth. I beg of you."

Seth gave her a side look, his eyes unsympathetic as he said: "I honestly couldn't care less for either you or your husband, but he seems to have gotten the wrong idea the last time we spoke. Lisa may decline my invitation, as she is my student, and I care about her, but you two are worth nothing in my eyes."

Saif started struggling in Seth's clutches, apparently unwilling to accept his wife's words, but he could barely hold on to his consciousness by now, and his struggle was futile.

"It seems like your husband disagrees, Ms. Oconner.", said Seth calmly, his hold on Saif's neck not lessening.

"I can convince him, please. All I beg of you is that you spare his life. I beg you, please spare his life."

Seth smiled and threw Saif onto the ground next to Julie. While Saif was coughing hard, trying to catch his breath, Seth crouched down in front of the crying Julie, looked into her quivering eyes, and said: "Fine, I'll let him live, but for his words, the last time and the fact that he is an idiot, he still has to pay the price."

His words barely ended when a pained shriek came behind Julie, accompanied by a soft thudding sound. When Julie turned around, she saw her husband spasming on the floor with blood flowing out of his lower region. There was also a tiny sausage lying lifeless next to him.

Panicking, Julie stood up and, forgetting about her body being exposed, used the sheet she had covered herself with earlier to stop the bleeding.

"Why? Why do you have to be so cruel?" she asked, but her eyes never left her husband as she tended to him.

"Because I can. Power is everything in this world, and your husband better remembers that the next time he thinks about talking back to me."

"This is me being mindful of Lisa, or he would have long been dead. You better fall back in line, or I might do something we'll all regret."

As he finished his words, Seth turned to leave, only to suddenly remember something. Looking over his shoulder, he said: "Oh, and if word of this reaches Lisa's ears, I will grant each one of you a slow and painful death. Consider yourself warned. Tomorrow evening we're leaving, so you better be ready by then."

Seth quickly teleported away from The Oconner Residence atop one building in the middle ring. Falling to his knees, his eyes flashed dark red, and he puked a mouthful of blood.
"Quite capricious tonight, are we?" muttered Seth as he looked at the puddle of dark blood under him.

'I'll be fine. How are things with Saif and his wife?' interrupted Seth as he wiped the blood from the corner of his lips and stood back up.

<The head of the family is unconscious, and servants have moved into the room to treat him. His wife gave the excuse that he broke it during sex.>

Seth released a pained chuckle as he fixed his eyes on the royal palace. What do you think? Today or tomorrow before we leave?'

Seth nodded and cleaned himself before teleporting back to his room to rest. Even with all his efforts to hide it, Maya still noticed something was wrong when her eyes landed on his face.

"What happened?" she asked immediately, stopping her cultivation and coming up to Seth with a face full of worry.

"Nothing, I'm fine. Let's go to bed. Tomorrow will be a busy day."

Maya bit her lip and nodded, no longer asking about it. She gave up on cultivating, laid her head on his chest, and started massaging it.

"You know you can speak to me if something is bothering you or you have any problems. I love you, Seth, and I'll always be on your side."

Seth opened his eyes and looked down, only to see Maya looking up at him with her eyes slightly red.

Sighing, a small smile appeared on his lips as he said: "Maya, do you know what gods are?"

Maya frowned and shook her head. "Only that they are supposed to be some mighty beings, revered by religions in other kingdoms, but no one knows if they really exist or not, as far as I'm aware. Why?"

Seth fixed his eyes on the ceiling and gently rubbed Maya's back. "Because they do exist. Have you never wondered what awaits at the end of the ascension path?"

Maya lowered her head and asked: "Do you want to say that gods are ascended that have reached the peak of their power?"

"It's not as simple as you make it sound, but that's the general idea. Once one reaches the peak of a type of energy, as long as there is no other god for that energy, they are given the chance of becoming one themselves."

Maya looked up again, her hand grazing Seth's chin as she said: "To know all this… you used to be one of them, didn't you?"

Seth smiled and caught her hand before nodding. "I did. I was the god that ruled over the throne of destruction, a long time into the future."

Seeing that Maya was figuring things out on her own, which allowed her to remain calm, completely different from how she passed out when she saw his sources, Seth started telling her his story from the past timeline.

He told her how he traveled to the academy, how he was a student in her class, how he barely ascended, how he made his way north to learn more, the destruction of the kingdom and the academy, his wish to travel back in time, and so on.

He had no way of telling her everything about the eons he had lived, but he still covered pretty much everything related to the Oath Kingdom and his time there in the former future.

He also told her how he had to force his divinity back into slumber after losing control while dealing with the Oconner family, which was why he was slightly injured. Seth kept speaking until morning and shared most of his secrets with her by the end. The only thing he actively chose to not reveal was the system's existence.

Maya listened silently, a small smile on her lips at the end of the story: "No wonder you seemed to know everything. You already lived this life once…"

Looking up, she bit her lower lip and exclaimed: "I can't believe I landed myself a god. I did a pretty good job there, not to mention that I was also your teacher. Maybe I'll have you call me teacher in bed from now on."

Seth chuckled and rubbed her perky behind as he bent his head and took her lips between his teeth. A playful nibble accompanied by a squeeze on her rear was all it took for Maya to get wet.

Seth bit her nose playfully when he noticed her rubbing her warm crotch on his leg and said: "As much as I would like to have some fun with my lovely teacher, I still have some things to do. Too bad we spent the entire night talking."

Maya nodded and took a deep breath to calm the fire raging inside her. "Fine, but once we leave, you owe me some godly sex.", said Maya with a playful look.

Seth chuckled and nodded. "That can be solved if you pray hard enough."

They teased each other playfully for a while longer before getting out of bed and getting dressed.

"Be ready by sundown. I'll come and portal you out of the city from here.", said Seth after tying up his belt.

Maya nodded and kissed his lips. "We will. Be careful."
