Chapter 2: Hope

Floating Blossom Sect a sect in Heavenly Lotus Domain one of the Domains of Dao Origin World.

As most of the sects it has thousands of disciples in both inner and outer courtyards. 

The Sect isn't much strong as compared to large Sacred Clans like Ling Clan but here it is a local powerhouse which cultivators dream to join.

In the inner courtyard after the night fall . There was something haunting in the light of the Moon. It has all the dispassionate Ness of a disembodied soul and something of its inconceivable mystery. A sense of loneliness.

A child who was about five or six years old with a blue silver grass in his mouth, was lying on the grass with his eyes closed.

"She's gone" 

As he opened his eyes he murmured.

The child was extremely good looking with Pearl lips, sword eyebrows, bright eyes and white teeth, like a boy in poetry and paintings.It is hard to believe that such a face can even exist. His silver hair were fluttering with the year . With such a face when he grows up women would flock around him .

But the sadness in those eyes of his is not something a child his age should have.

Sadness would be an understatement to call it as it looks like he doesn't have any will to live. Instead of liveliness of a child his golden eyes looked dead.

"Why did you do this ? How do you think I can live without you" 

Were the words of the child as he remembered the scene where two figures hugged each other a chaotic space and now that he woke up she was not there. 

She was gone! 

It was his duty to protect her , he promised he'll protect her but now he's alone.

Silence of the night seemed like it was  accompanying him in his sorrow.It was a quiet night .

Suddenly

[Ding! ]

[Feeling the host's unwillingness and sorrow, Goddess Rescue system is loading, the countdown is 10, 9, 8...]

'What is this?'

He heard a mechanical voice inside his head.

Of course he knew what it is . If it was before then he could even guess its origin and what does this system wants from him. But now his soul is severely damaged in that chaotic force . He got his memories back now that he is five years old due to his weak soul. For last five years he was simply like a newborn child. How much he now hoped that he would have continued to remain like this. At least it would not have hurt so much.

Hearing this his eyes turned watery.

Happiness !

What he is now experiencing is unprecedent happiness.

No one could imagine how desperate he was just a while ago when he thought she is gone forever. He had no desire to live. But now,

"Eh" feeling the drops of tears forming in his eyes. he let out a voice

"When was the last time I saw them??"

He doesn't remember shedding tears since forever and thought he would never but maybe it is because he is a five year old child now or maybe its because of the feeling of getting hope after the desperation . 

Well whatever he isn't in the mood to care about it right now. 

At this time neither did he care about how the system could read  his memory or about how the system is powerful enough to even resurrect someone who has turned into nothingness nor did he care about what the purpose of this system is.

As long as there was hope to see her again he will do anything  it wants him to.

Hearing system's voice inside his mind he smiled slightly and even tho it was night it still felt like the surrounding colours just turned brighter seeing such a beautiful smile.
