Their body structure is formed according to that , which means that if a person of Doupo world travel to Douluo which is next to impossible but just assume then he would not be able to practice the spirit energy like the people in that world as his body structure is made according to the world of Doupo which can only be used to practice Dou qi.

But with this technique he could be able to use any source of energy and devour it and convert it into qi into his body.

And besides it is an ungraded technique and can further be upgraded as his cultivation increases and the only prequisite is that it can only be practised by the one having Supreme Chaos Physique which he got as a reward from the system and he was further told by the system that he is the only person with this physique in the entire multiverse.

Qi gathering is the first step of cultivation and it is divide into nine stages.

The first stage of qi gathering is qi sensing or in other words to discover  or to  become consciously aware of sensations of flowing or pulsing, or tingling, or magnetic "energy" within the body which is called qi.

The real qi gathering realm starts from the second stage and the main goal for this stage of cultivation is to maintain a steady stream of qi into our body-mind system. 

The increases in stages refers to the slow condensing of this qi across the body.

At the ninth stage of qi gathering one can better condense the qi vortex, establishing a foundation.

The more condensed ones qi vortex is the better is the foundation of the cultivator which is essential for a better cultivation path.

That's why many cultivators suppress their cultivation base rather than jumping to the next realm as it gives them more advantage over others.

That's why after cultivating for a few hours even tho he could be at the Foundation Establishment realm or minimum at the level of ninth stage qi gathering , he supressed his cultivation base at the sixth stage of qi gathering and refining. But even this is too fast compared to those prodigies as it take a few days , even months or years for many to reach the stage which he's in now,  cultivating for a few hours. 

Which shows the level of this cultivation technique and physique.

Tho his soul power played a huge role in it as it is easier to use a d sense qi with high soul power and even though his soul is extremely damaged it was still too high so, it wasn't something unexpected.

Looking at the very small black particles around his body it seems like everytime his cultivation realm increases this cultivation technique will continue to remove impurities from his body making it more perfect.

Cleaning his body he stood up and looked towards the sky, it has been whole night since he was cultivating and he has gone through a variety of emotions.

The moon is nowhere to be seen and the blackness of night is long gone.

As the sunrise came as if it had missed the sky and wanted nothing more than to warm up those blues to a radiant gold.

The sun blooms on the horizon, golden petals stretching ever outwards into the rich blue. It is the brilliant flower of the sky that warms our days.
