"Where should I go now? An inn... maybe. Mmm... One isn't that far from this place."
I threw away the paper map Eina gave me and looked at the map floating on the left side of my face. There are projected in great detail the entire structure of the city. This will save me a lot of trouble; I'm not someone who remembers places I've ever been, so I often get lost quite easily.
It's been a few minutes since I left the adventurer's guild after clarifying to Eina that I still had no intention of starting a Familia in a hurry. I told her that I wanted to take my time to think and decide, to which she, after reminding me not to enter the dungeon without a Familia, let me go.
What an unreasonable and incomprehensible woman she is. Well, that's just the way she is, I guess...

A round, golden coin rose in front of my face from the tip of my thumb.
As Eina lectured me for a few moments for sell my novice adventurer's armor right under her nose, she let me go after explaining that I didn't have any money.
She insisted on giving me money, which in this case was called "Valis," although I obviously refused it from her.
I had a few thousand valis in my account after robbing the bandits who raided the village.
"Is this it? Being from a world resembling the Middle Ages, the inn isn't bad at all...".
I looked with satisfaction at the two-story house before me.
Even though the whole structure was made of wood and stone bases, they were so well polished that they gave a nice fresh feeling.
I opened the door and entered the inn.
The round tables and the chairs surrounding each of them came into my vision. The curious adventurers chatting amicably over beers at each table stopped what they were doing and looked in my direction.
'I would appreciate it if they would treat me like a wind, yes, a wind.'
I mumbled in my mind and ignored the intense stares amidst the absolute silence, where only my footsteps echoed as I approached the counter; I arrived in front of the middle-aged man.
'Hey, I would appreciate it if, instead of a man, I would be greeted by a pretty receptionist like the ones I always read about in novels...'.
"Are there any spare rooms? I want to stay here for a while." I said bluntly.
"Welcome to our inn, kid. If you need a room, fill out these papers and pay the amount below based on your stay."
A huge grin from ear to ear that didn't match the man's bear-like body and an apparent stern look appeared on his face.
'Seriously, how many papers do I have to fill out in this world?'
I took the paper and quickly filled it out, although it didn't ask for anything other than the name and the belonging 'Family.' Come to think of it, how can I write and understand such strange characters? However, it is in my favor.
I paid the man the amount indicated on the sheet. Since I had no intention of staying here long, I paid for a week's stay, which is exactly seven days.
This makes me wonder if this world was an alternative land or not. I mean, I had never heard the name of this world in the anime other than the city called "Orario," and from what I've seen so far, taking away the fact that a huge world hung in outer space, both the moon and the sun, everything was still the same.
"Your room is the seventh room on the left of the second floor."
After passing the man the sheet, he pointed to my room and handed me a metal key.
I said goodbye to him and inspected the room I would stay in for the week.
When I opened the door, a small room spread out before my eyes. A bed for one person, a chair, and a table; that was all there was.
"To stay for a week, this is more than enough."
I nodded in satisfaction and closed the door to go back down to the first floor, where again the adventurers were silent after seeing me... but this time, they only glanced at me a couple of times before resuming what they were doing, except for the women who were gossiping back and forth.
I left the inn and wandered aimlessly through the streets.
I intended to explore the wonderful city of this world. Probably, no one would miss this opportunity unless they were the type to go sightseeing and stay in one place without exploring and enjoying what the surroundings had to offer.
Now that I notice, most of the streets are populated by small stores and stalls in a straight line where adventurers crowd to buy or sell the goods they get; potions, items, and clothes.
"... A jagamarukun, please."
As I curiously looked around the surroundings like someone coming out of their cave for the first time, a soft voice coming from the side, completely ignoring the bustle of adventurers passing by talking happily, entered my ears.
"Em? That sounds familiar..."
I muttered; I only know one person who would order such a meal in a soft, emotionless voice.
I turned my face, and I saw her standing in front of a food stall; she took from the shopkeeper's hand a round potato, apparently a jahamarukun.

'Bingo! It's really her, how can I say it? It's very different from anime'.
Although I said that, the only thing different from the anime is that this girl was flesh and blood like all beings in this world and not a 2D existence.
The woman had soft golden hair flowing cascades over her bare milky back. Her slender body was girded by a white robe covered by silver armor.
Her face, as well as her pale golden eyes, were devoid of any emotion. Overall, she appeared to be a rather calm girl. Which, in my opinion, made her more interesting.
Although I could only see her face out of the corner of my eye, I could tell that she was a rather cute girl who stuck out like a sore thumb; the adventurers were standing around, staring dumbly at her, were a perfect example of that.
"Hey, dummy. Don't look too much. Don't you see that badge she's wearing?" a man whispered to someone nearby.
"That... that badge? That's the Loki Familia badge! Don't tell me she's...".
"That's right; she's the Loki Family's 'Princess of the Sword,' a level 5 adventurer!".
"Hisss... buddy. I'll buy you a nice cold beer to save my neck."
"What are we waiting for? Let's get the beers and enjoy the night in the entertainment district!"
I ignored the murmurs and approached the stall where most adventurers kept their distance, apparently fearing the golden-haired girl.
"Hey, old man, can I have ten of those?".
Upon arriving, I greeted the man and pointed to the jagamarukun the girl was holding.
Upon learning of my existence, the girl jumped to the side to stay as far away from me as possible while adopting a defensive stance and stretching her hand towards her waist, possibly reaching for her sword, which she now didn't have.
"Hehe~ sorry for the late greeting." I flashed a stiff smile as I greeted her, earning the piercing gaze of the two golden eyes.
She looked me up and down for a couple of seconds before nodding at my brief greeting, and just like that, she stood her ground and ignored me.... like a little squirrel, she chewed her jagamarukun with bulging cheeks.
Doesn't my appearance bewitch her? That was a surprise. Maybe she didn't care about appearances. That's a relief...
From what I remember, all this girl's airhead was thinking about was training and her hatred of monsters.
Hey, am I considered a monster too? Dammit!
"Young man, you've had all the jagamarukun for the day. Here, here you go." The man smiled and handed me the jagamarukun in a bag, "Oh, sure. I'll give you a discount, but in return, I want you to invite that young lady over there. Hehe, no need to thank me."
The man emphatically whispered the last words in my ear.
'Even if you didn't tell me, I was planning on doing it anyway...'. I rolled my eyes and paid 200 valis for ten jagamarukun.
"There are no more jagamarukun...?"
''I'm ashamed to say it, young lady, but as you just saw, that one over there bought everything he had. Even the ingredients have already run out. Well, if you'll excuse me." The man smiled apologetically, and since he had no more business here, he closed the stall.
"I see..."
Ais, from what I remember, nodded and turned her gaze back to me.
*Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii...
Specifically, towards the bag I was holding in my hand.
I moved the bag to the side and her gaze followed.
*Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii...
I moved it again, and her expressionless eyes followed it again. Seriously, this girl...
"This... Do you want some?"
She looked up and looked at my face visible through the bandages.
"Umm... I want some."
And just like that, without further ado, she sold herself to me.
The end.
